Hogwarts Mystery Sequence

Chapter 19 The End of Voldemort

The monocle is an extremely powerful alchemical item. This power does not refer to power, but to its inability to solve -

The monocle allows the wizard to cast powerful Legilimency spells, and can stack with the wizard's own Legilimency effect;

At the same time, it can also help the wizard resist Legilimency and protect the wizard's brain.

Although these two effects may only be comparable to those of Legilimency masters and Occlumency masters, they can be used against ordinary wizards to the extent that they are completely invisible.

Therefore, if Voldemort hadn't tampered with it, Amon wouldn't have thought of using it in a devastating way——

If no matter the cost, the monocle can briefly cast Legilimency to the level of a true Legilimency master.

With Voldemort's current state of dying soul, there is no way he can withstand such a powerful and arrogant Legilimency.

Amon placed the monocle next to the crown, bent down and took out a basin-shaped object from the cabinet under the table.

The mouth of the basin is engraved with runes and other mysterious symbols. The basin is filled with a silvery substance that is both liquid and gaseous like clouds.

This is a Pensieve, an alchemical item used to view memories. Amon asked Old Nott to send it from home.

I saw him putting the pensieve on the other side of the crown, and placed it with the monocle and the crown in a "three points and one line".

Then he took out his wand and waved it at the crown:

"Stultificare! (fool)"

The crown did not change, but the feeling suddenly became stagnant.

This spell, like the Purification Spell, is one of the last three spells created by Amon - a Fooling Spell involving history, time, destiny, as well as changes, secrets and spiritual realms!

Amon is now using the effect of the Fooling Curse in the spiritual realm to make the remnant soul of Voldemort in the crown become "blind and stupid", which is commonly known as subduing intelligence.

Otherwise he would not be able to trust the memory of a Legilimency master, who was often also an Occlumency master.

And forcibly extracting Voldemort's memory will inevitably wake him up or arouse his subconscious resistance.

After all, the cycle of the cycle spell is not absolutely static, but connects the time river of a person or an area end to end, but the flow and turbulence of the river are not fixed.

Each cycle may have a different process. If variables are introduced, people in the cycle will react normally.

Therefore, in order to further reduce Voldemort's resistance and prevent him from tampering with his memory, it is better to let him be quiet for a while.

Amon then activated the monocle, and the lens suddenly emitted white light, spreading towards the crown.

When the crown first came into contact with the white light, it trembled, and black smoke came out.

Seeing this, Amon suddenly increased the magic power poured into the monocle. The white light instantly became blazing, and the crown was completely wrapped in the blink of an eye.

Strands of silver translucent fluff were "squeezed" out of the crown and floated into the pensieve.

This process lasted for half a quarter of an hour, and Amon stopped the magic input until no more silver threads floated out of the crown.

As soon as the magic input was cut off, the white light disappeared, and the monocle suddenly crackled with sparks and white smoke.

Amon ignored the scrapped monocle and quickly cast a circulation spell on the crown again, causing Voldemort's remnant soul to enter a cycle of "blindness and stupidity".

Then he came to the pensieve, put his wand into the silver substance in the basin, stirred it, picked up some silver threads and put them into the glass bottle.

The moment these memory threads fell into the bottle, they immediately turned into a silver translucent liquid.

Repeating this, Amon preserved all the memories of Voldemort in the Pensieve.

After doing this, Amon waved his magic wand to "hide" the glass bottles, crowns and pensieves in front of him, then turned around and left the Room of Requirement, returning to his dormitory.

……

The next day, the little wizards who had just finished their vacation were probably because they were too excited yesterday, or they had not yet recovered from the vacation. They were drifting sleepily in the corridor, half asleep and half awake, from getting up to walking in. Classroom flow.

Because of this, in Ravenclaw's first Potions class, Snape went crazy "killing", and almost every little wizard received his "care", even Amon could not escape.

However, it is not because there is anything wrong with Amon's operation, but because he is not wearing a hat and monocle.

So Snape said half sarcastically: Nott, it seems that you had a good holiday, but I want to remind you, don't suddenly forget where you put your wand when you are making the potion.

——Actually, many young wizards have noticed Amon’s sudden change of attire. This is mainly because Amon is too unique in Hogwarts, plus he is a moderate celebrity, so There are always rumors about him in private.

And now Amon, who is wearing a monocle and a pointed hat, suddenly took off his iconic accessories, which triggered all kinds of bold speculations among the little wizards.

Among them, the most marketable one is - Amon fell out of love, suffered an unbearable blow, and his temperament changed drastically, causing his aesthetics to change;

Also - Amon's monocle and pointed hat were his tokens of love. Now that their relationship broke down, Amon became angry and threw them away.

As Amon walked in the corridor after class, his more powerful five senses were like the ultrasound of a bat, constantly transmitting various information to his brain.

He savored these rumors about him, with an expression of interest on his face. He felt that the contents of these rumors were very interesting, and maybe they would come true sometime.

Amon smiled.

……

The next class was uneventful, and Amon didn't encounter anything interesting again.

When the day's class was over, he came to the Room of Requirement early and started watching Voldemort's memories. It felt like watching a movie, browsing Tom Riddle's life from a third-person perspective.

However, Amon did not read more, because these memories have a strong personal color, and reading them all at once may be contaminated by Voldemort's spirit.

Therefore, after a short "watching", Amon sorted out the knowledge he gained, and then verified the correctness in a targeted manner. After verifying whether it was correct or not, he continued to watch it, and so on.

In the meantime, because yesterday he absorbed all of Voldemort's memories and then divided them up for storage, Amon actually saw mostly "unedited film reels", with various "flashbacks" and "narratives" in a mess. Based on this, he compiled Magic knowledge seems messy and unsystematic, which adds a lot of trouble to research work.

But Amon was very patient about it, combing it over and over again. When the time was almost up, he went back to the dormitory to rest and wait to continue tomorrow.

This kind of life gradually became Amon's normal state. During this period, Amon would also use the "Time Turner" from time to time to speed up the progress of sorting out Voldemort's memory.

It wasn't until one day halfway through the second half of the semester that the arrival of three uninvited guests brought a little extra interest to Amon's peaceful life.

……

Amon brought three followers to a dilapidated and empty classroom. He turned around and looked at the three little wizards who looked wary. The corners of his mouth curved happily and said:

"Although I came a little later than I expected, it doesn't matter. It's very quiet here and it's perfect for whispering. If you have anything you want to say, feel free to say it."

"What did you do to me?" Although Harry was still uncomfortable seeing Amon's posture, he couldn't wait to ask, with a slightly anxious expression.

Since the beginning of school, he has always wanted to tell his two friends what Amon said last time and ask them to help him analyze the ingredients of Amon, but every time the words came to his mouth, he couldn't say a word, as if he was trapped. It was like pressing the mute button, which made Harry feel very scared.

"And Madam Pomfrey, why doesn't she remember you coming that day? Did you use a forgetting spell on her?"

"You did a good job in your homework this time. Mr. 'Savior' actually knows the Forgetting Curse." Amon raised his eyebrows and chuckled:

"But unfortunately it's not. It's just a little trick to protect some secrets from being leaked to people other than us."

"Impossible!" Harry did not speak, but Hermione spoke first. She said decisively in a decisive tone:

"We checked many books and asked Professor Flitwick. There is no such curse at all!"

In response to Hermione's words, Amon just smiled and replied in a neutral tone:

"Madam, I believe that not all spells will be recorded, and although Professor Flitwick is a master of spells, he cannot understand all spells."

Hermione frowned when she heard this statement. She was about to refute but was interrupted by Amon.

"If you just come here to ask this question today, I think you may not get the answer you want." Old God Amon reminded me.

The trio couldn't help but look at each other, with varying degrees of anger on their faces. It was Harry who broke the silence and asked first:

"We want to know what is your relationship with...Voldemort?"

Upon hearing this question, Amon nodded thoughtfully, then chuckled:

"This is really a tricky question... Because I can't tell the secret, let me, the spell caster, take the initiative to decipher it... I know it's using my brain, it's not bad."

But he actually didn't mind telling the trio.

"It's probably the relationship between student and teacher, reverse person and superior person." Amon said.

Although he had always called Voldemort professor, Voldemort had begun to fulfill his duties as a teacher.

As for the reversed person and the superior person, it is easier to understand. After all, from the beginning, he was aiming to eliminate Voldemort, an unstable factor.

The trio each had their own thoughts after hearing Amon's somewhat unclear words. Harry was able to understand what Amon meant based on the previous conversation;

Although Hermione didn't quite understand, she also realized that Amon's position might be a little different from what they had always thought;

And Ron didn't think much about it at all. Just hearing Amon admit that he was the apprentice of the Dark Lord was enough for him to completely label Amon a "Death Eater".

"Then why did you curse Harry during the Quidditch match?" Hermione then asked Amon.

"I saw it with my own eyes, don't try to deny it." She added immediately.

Amon did not answer this question directly, but asked instead:

"I think you must have told Mr. 'Savior' about Snape's protection of Harry. So what does Mr. 'Savior' think?" He looked at Harry.

Harry didn't expect this question to be pointed at him suddenly. He wanted to say something but didn't know how to say it, so he just stood there and hesitated.

"It seems that Mr. 'Savior' has very mixed feelings about this matter. Have you ever thought about why?"

Amon raised the corners of his mouth and said in a teasing tone:

"Snape is obviously targeting you everywhere, as if he wants to eat your Snape, but he still chooses to stand up and protect you when you are in danger... This is very contradictory, isn't it?"

Seeing Harry fall silent, Amon turned to look at Hermione.

"As for what you see is not necessarily the truth, madam, the truth is often buried in the depths of history. Just like you didn't notice that I just moved my lips falsely, seeing may not necessarily be true."

Hermione's eyes widened in disbelief, and she screamed:

"Then what is your purpose for doing this?"

Amon raised the corners of his mouth with a happy expression, looked at the silent Harry and said:

"That's interesting, isn't it?"
