Hogwarts School of the Dark Arts

Chapter 22, Interview with Dumbledore

Hagrid's hut is said to be a hut, but that's for Hagrid. For Xavier, it's actually quite big.

Hagrid rescued a civet cub. Its front paw was injured. Hagrid had given it medicine and bandaged it.

The little guy is very afraid of strangers and won't let Xavier get close at all. As soon as Xavier gets close, he shrinks back. After shrinking to a point where he can't retreat, he buzzes with a warning sound.

Unlike adult civets, civets when they are young are gray-white and have fluffy fur that feels good to the touch at first glance, but unfortunately they cannot be touched for the time being.

Xavier likes the tea made by Hagrid very much. The tea he makes does not add various flavorings to it like other people, and can retain the original taste of the tea to a greater extent.

Playing with the cat, drinking tea, and chatting, the whole morning was spent so leisurely that Xavier couldn't help but sigh: This is called life!

However, in the afternoon, Xavier returned to intense study.

Classes, meals, breaks, reading in the library, classes...

The cycle went on and on, until Ron delivered the glass container to his door, and Xavier took some time to study in the library and went to the secret room to process the essence.

Although a single magic material sometimes decomposes into two essences, most of the time it is one essence. This is within Xavier's ability, and he can put them into the container without the help of others.

After counting the five galleons of materials and breaking them down into essences one by one, Xavier packed the bottles into his suitcase and headed to the principal's office.

Having met with Principal Dumbledore several times, Xavier is no longer afraid of facing Dumbledore. After all, if he would have been exposed, he would have been exposed long ago.

Moreover, Xavier believed in the level of the founder of Hogwarts. Even the Sorting Hat, the founder of Gryffindor, could not read his own thoughts. Xavier felt that there was a high probability that Dumbledore could not.

All the way to the door of the principal's office, Xavier suddenly realized that he didn't know the entrance order.

Just when Xavier was hesitating whether to show off his "Lion's Roar Skill", the door opened by itself.

Without hesitation, Xavier hurried inside.

"Oh, Mr. Owen, is the essence ready?"

Principal Dumbledore, who was sitting behind his desk, raised his head and adjusted his glasses. A quill on the desk was automatically moving on a piece of parchment, seeming to be writing something.

"Yes, Principal Dumbledore, have you prepared the money? 100 Galleons."

Xavier said as he walked to the table, placed the suitcase on the table and opened it, revealing 5 bottles of different colored liquids inside.

"Well...the number is smaller than I expected." Dumbledore said after taking a look.

"If you don't believe it, you can place another order and I will make it in front of you."

"It's not that I don't believe you." Dumbledore shook his head: "But I do have a material that I want you to help me make into an essence."

"What material?" Xavier asked.

"Don't worry yet."

Dumbledore smiled and shook his head, lowered his head and took out a small box from the drawer, placed it on the table and pushed it in front of Xavier.

"This is your reward, 100 Galleons."

Xavier hurriedly opened the box and saw stacks of neatly arranged gold coins inside, each gold coin shining with dazzling luster.

"This is the material I need you to help me purify."

Dumbledore took out a glass bottle closed with a cork from the drawer. There was a dark red liquid in the bottle. It was very small. Look at the bottom of the bottle.

"Blood?"

Xavier took the bottle and shook it doubtfully.

"Yes." Dumbledore nodded: "This is dragon blood."

Dragon blood? !

Xavier's eyes suddenly lit up.

Xavier has no need for dragon blood, but dragon blood is expensive!

"Does it weigh? I want to weigh it." Xavier said quickly.

"Ten Galleons."

"what?"

"I'll pay you 100 galleons."

Xavier blinked, looked at the dragon's blood in the bottle in his hand, and suddenly frowned.

100 galleons is indeed a lot, but the dragon's blood Xavier in the bottle is estimated to be 2 ounces. In this way, my labor fee will definitely not be 20 times, and at most it will be 10 times the price of raw materials.

"You are really good at doing business, the bids are getting lower and lower." Xavier said.

"Actually, my psychological price is twice the price of raw materials. If you can accept it, I can place a large order with you in the name of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry... and the raw materials will be provided by Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. "

Xavier thought for a moment and then nodded: "Of course the price can be reduced for large quantities. As for reducing it to twice... it depends on whether the order you place is large enough."

"This depends on the effect of these essences. I will study it with several professors and wait until the results are available."

"Okay, let's just follow the price you mentioned for now."

With that said, Xavier took out his wand and used the levitating spell to remove the dragon's blood from the bottle.

100 Galleons is quite a lot, and Dumbledore's attitude seems to have already made up his mind. If he continues to bargain, he will be a little too pushy.

Holding a wand in his right hand, Xavier controlled the dragon's blood to float in the air. Xavier used his left hand to release the Great Disintegration Technique, which decomposed the dragon's blood in front of Principal Dumbledore.

Principal Dumbledore watched quietly with squinted eyes.

When the decomposition was completed, the dark red dragon's blood in the air disappeared, replaced by three small crystals and a small pool of bright red liquid.

Dumbledore saw this and waved, and the dragon blood and small crystals immediately flew over.

"Not bad, it does feel purer."

Dumbledore dipped a little dragon's blood on his little finger, put it in his mouth and tasted it before saying.

After taking the bottle, filling the dragon's blood essence and putting it into the drawer together with the small crystals, Principal Dumbledore took out another small box and handed it to Xavier.

But this time Xavier didn't go get it right away.

"Principal Dumbledore, I wonder if you have found any use for that additional product, the small crystal?" Xavier asked.

"A very good alchemy material, but I haven't researched its specific use yet." Dumbledore looked at Xavier frankly and said.

He didn't lie, he really didn't research anything himself.

"I can also sell small crystals individually if you need them."

"That's the best. You may need it in the future."

After initially reaching a consensus, Xavier did not waste the opportunity to talk to Principal Dumbledore alone. By the way, he asked Principal Dumbledore many questions that he did not understand.

Principal Dumbledore is indeed very knowledgeable and answered Xavier's questions very clearly.

In order to ask more questions, Xavier even deliberately slowed down the speed of transferring gold coins, which made Dumbledore dumbfounded, but did not stop him.
