Soaring at Hogwarts
Chapter 30 Halloween
Ian quickly bonded with the kitchen elves.
It's not difficult, as long as you give a little kindness, those elves will respond with a hundredfold enthusiasm.
The first nine days of the ninth month of the lunar calendar are the "Nine Emperors Fasting". With the help of the elf's special dishes, Ian eats vegetarian food for nine days.
Soon it will be Halloween.
On Halloween, the sweet and tempting smell of roasted pumpkin wafted through the school corridors from morning to night.
During the evening banquet, a thousand bats fluttered on the walls and ceiling, and low dark clouds circled above the dining table, causing the candle flames in the belly of the giant pumpkin to flicker.
It looks a bit like the residence of the evil wizard in the story.
Ian came out of the kitchen, carrying a small box, and walked into the auditorium humming a tune.
"Good evening, Alya." Ian walked around the Gryffindor table without finding Samantha, "Do you know where my sister is?"
"She's in the bathroom," Arya replied, lowering her voice. "She's staying with Hermione. She's hiding in the bathroom crying. You'd better find Samantha later."
"Oh? Oh." Ian nodded, "I understand."
Today is the day for the trio to fight the trolls.
Ian sighed, when did Samantha and Hermione have such a good relationship?
After turning around and leaving the auditorium, Ian walked to the toilet.
"Dong dong dong." Ian said loudly, simulating a knock on the door, "Is there anyone there? I'm coming in."
The whimpers and whispers inside stopped.
When she stepped through the door, Samantha was glaring angrily. When she saw it was Ian, she softened her expression and put down her wand.Hermione crouched beside the sink and started sobbing again.
"This is the women's room, Ian." Samantha said, "I almost gave you a hex just now, you know?"
Ian shrugged.
"Yes, it's my first time here too. Thank you for your mercy."
"I know you're still here, get out quickly."
"Then you want to go with me?"
Samantha didn't answer, but her face said "what the hell are you talking about" nicely.
"So I have to stay," Ian sighed. Silly boy, he didn't know that the troll was coming.
"It's your birthday today." Ian untied the small box and found a small cake inside, "Happy birthday Samantha."
Sitting next to Hermione without any scruples, she divided the cake into three pieces.
"So, what happened?" Ian asked calmly, "Which kid said something nasty? Ron or who?"
Hermione was still twitching, ignoring Ian.
Samantha also sat down and sighed.
"You know, Hermione stands out... in Gryffindor."
Ian nodded and pushed the cake over, Samantha took a piece, and Hermione still hugged her knees.
"Yes, the Sorting Hat also wanted to send me to Ravenclaw at first. It said that I might feel lonely in Hufflepuff."
Samantha patted Hermione's back gently and said, "Aren't you doing well?"
"But if you want to discuss charms and research spells, there are still a few people in Hufflepuff that you can talk to."
Samantha motioned for him to continue: "So how did you do it?"
"I discuss recipes with them," Ian found it quite interesting, "and herbalism. If I give Hufflepuff some points, everyone will like me."
Hermione spoke, sniffling and saying intermittently: "I, I also gave points to Gryffindor."
It sounds very aggrieved.
"Yes, yes. So Patsy likes you very much, right?" Ian said, "But you didn't discuss the recipe with them - well, in Gryffindor, it should be..."
"Adventure," Samantha added.
"Yes, but, this will deduct points."
"So Gryffindors are all troublemakers," Ian said briskly. "Look at Samantha, she's been in confinement too."
Samantha's eyes widened: "How do you know!?"
"You don't think that your parents will just put you in Hogwarts and just ignore it," Ian smiled. "They often write to Professor McGonagall."
Samantha closed her eyes in pain and took a bite of the cake depressedly.
"Gryffindor has a bit of, um, contempt for rules and authority." Ian continued, "This is more or less a bit of nature. To be honest, it would be strange not to deduct points."
Hermione whimpered.
"So, so, what's wrong with me? I don't understand."
"Of course you're right," Samantha comforted.
"You just have to pay attention to some methods." Ian was thinking about how to explain. "For example, when they go out at night, tell them the consequences of making mistakes and let them know that they are responsible for the consequences."
"I said it!" Hermione shouted, "but they were still so smug afterwards. Harry did that in flying lessons and got a broomstick!"
"Uh." Ian scratched his head, "This is their fault, but there are other reasons..."
It's hard for Ian to tell Professor McGonagall that she suffered a concussion. It's inappropriate.
"The rules are there to protect us, but with Harry's flying skills, he can obviously afford the risk of breaking these rules, right?"
The conversation froze.
"Ron also mentioned you." After a while, Samantha started a new topic.
"Me?" Ian raised his eyebrows, "What did you say."
"He said," Hermione said muffledly, her sobs having stopped mostly, "that you weren't 'show off' or 'arrogant' like me."
"If you ask me, that's not necessarily the case." Samantha disagreed.
"Huh?" Ian raised his eyebrows.
"Actually, Ian used to be a bit similar to you. We were both, well, not very measured." Samantha said, "When I see you, I think of him when he was a child, how arrogant he was."
Seeing Ian's unconvinced look, Samantha continued: "He has the kind of arrogance that rejects others, which is not exactly the same as you. You really regard Gryffindor as your home, I know .”
"Where?" Ian interrupted and asked.
"That's right! At that time, you called your parents 'Haydn' and 'Cloris', but I never heard you say 'Daddy' and 'Mommy'." Samantha complained, "At that time, you You will definitely not go to the toilet to celebrate my birthday."
Ian was speechless.
This is true. After all, he was a time traveler, and at that time he had not been able to accept his new identity well.
Samantha turned around and continued to talk to Hermione: "You don't have to worry too much about Harry and Ron, they will always suffer. Gryffindor is like this. If you stay for a long time, you will gradually realize that it is against school rules. Fun.”
Hermione's face clearly said absolutely not.
"Come on Hermione, look, if Ian doesn't break some rules, we won't be able to eat the cake, right?"
Samantha handed over the cake, and this time Hermione took it.
"By the way, there's also a birthday present." Ian took out the bell from his pocket, "It has runes on it, please wear it well."
There are also spells from the East.
Samantha took the bell in her hand and shook it twice curiously.
"Why doesn't it ring?"
"Eh?"
