Magical Studies at Hogwarts
Chapter 31 Price
Once upon a time, Quirinus Quirrell was the pride of Ravenclaw. Whether as a student or as a professor of Muggle Studies, he was known for his talent and solid theory.
Perhaps not wanting to be limited to theoretical research, Quirrell applied for the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor last summer. After being approved, he took a long leave and began traveling to increase practical experience.
That summer, Quirrell traveled to many places and encountered many dangers. In the dark forest, Quirrell encounters several vampires and witches, and nearly dies.
After escaping, Chilo set his sights across Europe, and finally met the man who changed his life in Albania.
The fallen Dark Lord - Lord Voldemort - is attached to a snake.
Quirrell, who had experienced the Second Wizarding War in England, had a natural fear of the Dark Lord, even though he could easily kill Voldemort when he first met him.Perhaps it was precisely because of this that Quirrell had the illusion that he could control Voldemort, and he paid a huge price for it.
He became a temporary Horcrux, although Quirrell had no idea what a "Horcrux" actually was.
With the words "body, support two souls", Quirrell could clearly feel the loss of life force, which frightened him.But what is even more frightening is the Dark Lord possessing him. In order to survive, Quirrell has to find the only magical creation known to be able to save the two of them.
Magic stone……
In Gringotts, Quirrell failed; after discovering Harry, Quirrell failed again because of Snape's obstruction.Although he found out where the magic stone was stored, he couldn't find a way to get past Hagrid's three-headed dog, and he always stopped at the first level.
During that time, Quirrell was simply worse than dead. Voldemort did not show sympathy for his servant. He cursed viciously and suffered painful punishments. It was a miracle that Quirrell did not go crazy after enduring both physical and mental torture from the Dark Lord.
Later, Quirrell, or rather the Dark Lord, discovered an interesting little wizard who came from his own academy. He had excellent spells and solid theories. He could be called the best little wizard in the decades since Voldemort.
Even after the contact, Voldemort actually gave him a better evaluation than when he was the same age.
At least, even the Dark Lord, who made the whole of England tremble, had never been able to cast spells silently and without fighting in the first grade. This cannot be explained by pure "talent".
When Ike came to Quirrell and asked to learn magic, both Quirrell and Voldemort were very happy.
Maybe Quirrell still has some regrets, regretting that an outstanding Ravenclaw has to go his own way.
But everything that happened next gave Quirrell another emotion called "jealousy."
Why is his talent so good?
Why did the Dark Lord teach him magic in a planned way?
Why did the Dark Lord agree to teach him personally after his rebirth?
And why, the Dark Lord did not hesitate to consume his own life force to silently and without a fight cast the Soul-Seizing Curse, just to subtly influence his thoughts?
Quirrell couldn't figure it out, not at all, until he saw Ike fighting with his own eyes.
The spell-casting ability is on par with that of an adult wizard, with almost the same spell-casting frequency, and perfect silent and magic-free spells. Although his accuracy is not very good, he is only in the first grade! There is still plenty of time for him to grow.
Until he grew up to the level of the Dark Lord, or even Dumbledore.
Yes, Quirrell believed that Ike would reach that state, just as Voldemort deeply believed that he would return.
Swallowing the unicorn's blood, Quirrell could feel his dry life being nourished, and his heart was beating powerfully again.
He seemed as healthy as before he met the Dark Lord.
But at the same time, Quirrell felt pain and confusion that he had never experienced before. His soul seemed to be crushed and thin, as if he could escape from his body at any time.
Standing up, feeling top-heavy, Quirrell even felt like he could float up at any time.
Unfortunately, it's all a curse, a curse for harming the unicorn and sucking its blood.
From this moment on, Quirrell is no longer a human being. He is an unknown existence that is neither human, nor beast, nor ghost, nor a remnant soul.
The body is just the shell of the soul.
"Hey~hey~hey~" Voldemort was very excited. The blood of the unicorn had fully nourished his remaining soul. This was the best he had felt since Halloween 11 years ago.
"Well done! My servant." The Dark Lord never hesitates to praise servants who fulfill his wishes. "You will be rewarded when we get the Philosopher's Stone."
"Thank you, Master." Quirrell replied respectfully. He didn't even dare to have the slightest thought of being disrespectful to Voldemort.
"So, Ike, my favorite student, what do you want?"
Facing Ike, Voldemort had a completely different attitude. There was no cold-blooded attitude towards Quirrell in his tone. Just like Professor Flitwick towards the eaglets, he could only feel concern for the students.
"I think you can allow me to take some unicorn blood for research, the great Dark Lord! My teacher!" Ike nodded slightly and replied respectfully.
"You can take some of the unicorn's hair and even its horn, but you must not take its blood, child." Voldemort refused. "The blood of unicorns has magical powers. When they are willing to give it, Time is the purest thing in the world and can break almost all curses and restrictions!"
"Even a dying person will regain his life and be healthy as long as he drinks the blood willingly donated by a unicorn!"
Voldemort continued seriously: "However, if it is taken out by force like this one, there will be a strong curse. Although you can still be reborn, you will be burdened with an evil curse, and you will no longer be a human being, and you can only survive. alive."
"Besides, you can't stop drinking the unicorn's blood. Once you stop, you will die..."
"He died miserably, miserably..."
"I understand." Ike nodded and put away his wand, "Then I'll take some hair."
"A very good choice, child." Voldemort praised, "They have many uses and are very important magical materials."
Ike took some tail hair and mane and put them away carefully.
"Yes, many magic potions and alchemy items require these things. These are enough for me to use for a long time." Ike nodded slightly, "Thank you for letting me use them."
"No need to thank you, kid. When I come back, you will get better and more. It's just a unicorn hair, it's so insignificant."
"I will teach you magic, let you appreciate the true meaning of magic, and even stay away from death!" Voldemort was obviously a little over the top, "As long as you offer your loyalty, child."
"Of course, the great Dark Lord! My teacher!" Ike leaned his wand on his left shoulder, knelt down on one knee, and said respectfully, "I will be your proudest student!"
"I'm looking forward to it, Ike, I'm looking forward to it..."
"I'm looking forward to it too..." Ike lowered his head and said silently in his mind. The panel of the Waste Notepad system flashed before his eyes, with a bright smile on his face.
