Ancient Warlocks at Hogwarts
Chapter 11 The Eve of Halloween
Over the next few weeks, Andre's studies focused on transfiguration and Occlumency.
Human body transformation is progressing very quickly, and he can now completely change his appearance. However, he is not yet able to achieve cross-species human transformation, that is, he cannot transform into animals or objects.
Even so, Professor McGonagall was surprised by his progress. She had always thought that Andre would not be able to successfully cast this magic this semester.
Because according to her, the little wizard can control too little magic power, and it is difficult to achieve human body transformation, a form of transformation magic that has a rejection reaction.
Generally speaking, the amount of magic power controlled cannot be improved through training, and will only increase with age.
Regarding this point, Andre actually has some speculations of his own.
First of all, magic power is not the kind of internal force hidden in the body in Chinese martial arts novels. Normally, wizards cannot feel the existence of magic power. Only when casting spells, this mysterious power will suddenly appear.
Another point is that there is no limit to the number of times you can cast magic. In other words, there is no concept of a wizard running out of magic when casting a spell.Casting the spell multiple times will only make the person's energy feel exhausted, without any physical side effects.
So Andre guessed that the so-called magic actually existed in the air. When wizards cast spells, their spiritual power condensed the free magic.
If this guess is correct, then the factor that affects magic power is definitely not the physical age of the wizard, but his mental strength.
Andre doesn't know if his mental strength is outstanding in the entire magic world, but compared with a group of 11-year-old children, he is undoubtedly a magic genius.
At least he can easily cast most spells that don't require emotional assistance, and he never has to worry about magic power.
However, when such a golden finger is used for special magic like Occlumency, the effect is not that significant.
The first step of Occlumency requires the user to clear their brain. For Andre, who has complicated thoughts, this is obviously not an easy thing to do.He can only master this trick by practicing countless times.
At present, Andre has been able to achieve the most basic defense to prevent Legilimency masters from stealing his memory without knowing it.
Of course, if the other party took the initiative to increase the intensity of Legilimency, Andre would still be unable to prevent it, let alone create any false memories on his own.
Fortunately, there is still enough time. He still has at least half a year to stabilize his brain.

Today is Thursday. In the morning's Charms class, Professor Flitwick finally ended his theoretical class and began to ask the first-year wizards to take out their wands and practice the levitation spell.
Andre had mastered this spell as early as the second week of school. He waved the wand in his hand and whispered: "Wingardium Leviosa!" The feathers on the table immediately rose. Floated.
"Well done, Mr. Ivanov! Five points for Gryffindor! I have already heard from Ms. Hooch about your feats in flying lessons. This is not something a little wizard can easily accomplish." Professor Flitwick looked very happy when he saw Andre's spell, he clapped his hands and shouted.
Hermione on the side stared at Andre for a while, surprisingly not preaching to Ron who was acting clumsily next to her.
Speaking of which, Hermione has started talking to Harry and the others again recently, although her attitude still makes Ron very dissatisfied.
But she still remained indifferent to Andre, and Andre didn't know where she had offended her.
Harry and the others were also involved in the violation of school rules. Could it be that she blamed me for stealing her limelight?Andre mused.
The bell rang leisurely, and Andre and Harry walked to the cafeteria together. Tonight was Halloween, and the school would hold a grand dinner, which everyone was looking forward to.
And Andre also knew that Quirrell, who was leaning over Voldemort, would launch his first action tonight, and he would put a troll into the castle.
Thinking of this, Andre glanced at Hermione not far away again. She didn't quarrel with Ron today. In this way, the little witch wouldn't go to the bathroom alone to cry for a long time, and naturally she wouldn't meet him. Here comes the troll.
This reassures Andre a lot. After all, trolls are level xxxx in the Ministry of Magic classification. He is not sure whether he can knock out the opponent with a stick like Ron.
Andre didn't need to attend the afternoon Transfiguration class, so he went to the library to continue studying on his own.
Professor McGonagall has not taught new transformation magic in the last few advanced classes - the three boys from Hufflepuff and Gryffindor have not yet mastered human transformation.
Slytherin's beautiful prefect teased them many times after class. Even Andre, a first-year student, had already learned it. As sixth-year students, they still didn't understand it. It was simply embarrassing the senior class.
This also made the relationship between Andre and the two seniors in his college tense. They have not said a word to Andre so far.
Flying lessons on Thursday afternoon were over. After teaching all the first-year students how to ride a broomstick, Ms. Hooch returned to her position as Quidditch training instructor and no longer taught lessons for young wizards.
So Andre had a whole afternoon free, and the book he was looking at was about Animagus transformations.
The book was actually in the restricted area, and it took Andre a lot of effort to get the approval note from Professor McGonagall.
For this reason, he also promised Professor McGonagall that he would never practice Animagus privately, and Professor McGonagall did not give him any chance to find any loopholes. Her approval note stated that she could only borrow books about Animagus. Gus's books.
Time always flies by when you are reading with concentration.By the time Andre came to his senses, there was no student left in the library. Only Mrs. Pince was mumbling and returning the misplaced books.
This woman hardly welcomes anyone into the library. In her opinion, the young wizards at Hogwarts will only soil the sacred books without really learning anything from them.
In other words, in Mrs. Pince's eyes, even if the little wizard learned some magic, it was far less important than the books in the library.
Andre stood up quietly and put the thick book back into its place. Books in the restricted area were not allowed to be borrowed.
He realized he had to go to the Halloween dinner, so he walked quickly towards the auditorium.
However, what Andre didn't know was that the dinner had started five minutes ago, and the news of the troll entering the castle had been conveyed by Quirrell - this was the disadvantage of not having a watch.
Human body transformation is progressing very quickly, and he can now completely change his appearance. However, he is not yet able to achieve cross-species human transformation, that is, he cannot transform into animals or objects.
