A friendly day at Hogwarts
Chapter 18 Peeves
There was a crisp sound, and the chain connecting the ceiling and chandelier suddenly broke.
The heavy bronze chandelier roared downwards and was about to hit the heads of the rich second generation.
Glenn had no intention of pulling out his wand to stop it. He guessed that the scene in front of him must be designed by Professor Flitwick.
If you think about it, it is not cost-effective to sabotage the professor's plan for the sake of the friendliness of a few small transparent characters.
In the blink of an eye, the chandelier was less than half a meter away from them, and a few timid little witches couldn't help but close their eyes and scream.
"Floating into the sky!"
Professor Flitwick's voice sounded like a fairy sound to the ears of several rich second generations.
The huge chandelier seemed to be tightly held by an invisible big hand and stopped steadily in the air. The hanging tassels swayed slightly in front of the somewhat strong boy.
This timing is wonderful!
Professor Flitwick pointed his wand at the chandelier, guiding it to move slowly and finally land in an empty space in the corner.
The freshmen just watched intently without saying a word.
"It just so happens that this is the first elementary spell we are going to introduce today - levitation." Professor Flitwick continued the lecture calmly, without any flaws on his expression.
Only then did the naughty children come back to their senses from their fright. They sat upright one by one, listened more carefully than the top students, and never disrupted the class again.
A small episode restored the perfect classroom atmosphere in the classroom.
High, really high.
Until the end of get out of class, Glenn couldn't help but admire Professor Flitwick's superb methods.Unfortunately, there are no practical exercises in this class, only an introduction to the magic spells and basic knowledge that will be learned.
Just answering a few simple questions wasn't enough for Professor Flitwick to contribute his friendliness.
Therefore, Glenn, who felt that he had missed out on [-] million, decided to stay after class and earn the exchange coins that should have been his own.
"Professor Flitwick! Please wait!"
When the students were almost gone, Glenn held the book and pretended to be making progress every day and called Professor Flitwick.
The small and exquisite dean turned around, with some confusion on his face.
"It's you, Mr. Ollivander." His voice was soft, and he could tell that he had a good impression of this new student. "What's the matter?"
Glenn put away his greedy expression like looking at a treasure and put on a serious face.
"That's right, Professor. I encountered several problems when I was practicing the spells on my own before school started."
"Oh? Tell me." Professor Flitwick became interested. He had not encountered such a studious freshman for many years.
Glenn thought to himself that there was something wrong, and quickly asked the question: "I tried the floating spell at home, but the effect was not very good. I would like to ask you what the problem is."
A new student who had not yet entered school successfully cast a levitating spell. This level was certainly not considered a genius, but it was already pretty good.
"Feathers fly!"
Professor Flitwick summoned a feather, landed on the desk next to them, and said, "Try it, kid."
"Floating into the sky!"
Glenn recited the spell that the professor had used in class, and flicked his wand, and the white feathers soared up into the air as high as two people.
Seeing that the height was about the same, he interrupted the magic output for a moment.
The feathers were swirling and falling slowly, but Glenn still held up his wand, pretending to be trying hard to maintain the spell.
"Very good, Mr. Ollivander." Professor Flitwick smiled. This situation was much better than he expected. "This is almost a complete levitation spell."
It can be seen that he is quite satisfied with this new student in his college.
"So what's my problem?" Glenn continued.
He was curious whether professors could sense magic changes like him or Dumbledore who had the system.
Professor Flitwick thought for a moment and expressed his thoughts.
"I must admit that your spell pronunciation and wand movements are the most standard I have ever seen." He praised, "The reason for the failure should be that there was an interruption or pause in the magic output process, causing the spell to out of control."
Glenn listened intently and nodded slightly.
"As for the cause of the interruption, my guess is that you are not familiar with the operation process of magic power, or you are too young and your magic power reserve is not sufficient."
For a normal wizard, no one can directly stop the casting of a spell. They can only make the spell lose its target by removing the wand or other methods.Just like when Harry Potter in fourth grade singled out the Dark Lord, he forcibly disconnected the curse.
Who could have imagined that this is a wall-mounted wall that can actively interrupt the output of magic power?
Even if he was the Charms professor at Hogwarts.
"Thank you for your advice." Glenn bowed slightly and thanked Professor Flitwick.
Hey~
Core character, Filius Flitwick, friendliness +1, exchange currency +100
Another 100 exchange coins were obtained.
Glenn walked happily through the corridor of the Charms classroom and down the marble stairs, preparing to go to the Great Hall for dinner.
Then, he got lost again...
More than half an hour later, Glenn got lost in front of the campus hospital and felt miserable. He had to find a way to deal with his roadblock nature.
"Aha! A lonely first-year student!"
A small man floated in the air and let out an exaggerated cry of surprise.
He was wearing a colorful clown suit, a weird high hat, and an emerald green tie on his chest.
Different from those silver-white translucent ghosts, this man who can also float in mid-air is much richer in color and appears more solid.
"Peeves?" Glenn said with a frown.
Peeves smiled and took out a used chalk tip from his pocket, his black eyes rolling around.
Glenn suddenly felt bad and looked around, looking for a way out.
Of course he remembered the spell Professor Lupine used against Peeves.
But the problem is, the apprentice level, with a proficiency of 0/100, clearly told him:
He can't use this skill.
A piece of chalk flew over with a whoosh, and Peeves started his prank.
Glenn had no choice but to duck away, his eyes falling behind the other party.
"Hello, Mr. Barrow, I didn't expect to meet you here." He put on a polite look.
Peeves was really startled, and all kinds of chalk fell to the floor.
"I'm sorry, Lord Bloody Man, Mr. Barrow, Sir..." He turned around hurriedly, lowered his head, his voice was respectful and flattering, "Little Peeves didn't notice..."
He raised his gaze and looked through the ends of his hair, only to realize that there was not even a shadow of a ghost in front of him.
Only then did Peeves realize that he had been fooled, and quickly turned around. The new student had disappeared.
"How dare you lie to me, you damn brat!"
His angry shouts echoed in the corridor on the second floor.
The heavy bronze chandelier roared downwards and was about to hit the heads of the rich second generation.
