Pure Western Heaven is also called Western Paradise.It is the pure land of Buddha achieved by Amitabha.Buddhism often talks about saving all sentient beings and going to the bliss of the Western Heaven. It means extraditing people to the Buddha's kingdom in the Western Heaven.

In the entire Buddhist sect, Amitabha's status can also be said to be extraordinary.Although Buddhism was founded by Sakyamuni Buddha, Buddhism as a whole is not the one-spoken hall of the Buddha named Siddhartha Gautama.Amitabha Buddha occupies the position of one of the three Buddhas. In terms of status and qualifications, he is completely inferior to Sakyamuni Buddha.

What’s interesting is that there is also a Medicine Buddha inside the third generation Buddha.However, the status and popularity of this Medicine Buddha are not at all as good as those of the other two Buddhas.It is even said that even Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, fell behind Amitabha in some aspects.

For example, people in the world often talk about Amitabha and Namo Amitabha, but no one ever talks about Sakyamuni Buddha or Medicine Master Light King Buddha.For another example, everyone hopes to enter the Western Paradise, but no one has ever said that they want to enter the central whirling world presided over by Sakyamuni Buddha.

Although according to Buddhist principles, the central whirling world is a tolerant land, a world of five turbidities, where all living beings have sinful sins and must endure all kinds of troubles and sufferings.The Western Paradise is the Pure Land, a perfect world of solemnity, purity, and equality.Naturally, the latter should be more desirable.But no matter what, Sakyamuni Buddha is weaker than Amitabha in this aspect.The unreasonableness of this is as outrageous as if you worked hard to create a company, but the result is that your partners occupy the head office.

This is not the strangest place. The strangest doubts also appear in the Journey to the West story.

As we all know, the end point in the Journey to the West story is the Great Leiyin Temple in Xitianling Mountain mentioned in the book.Xitian naturally refers to the Western Paradise, where Amitabha’s kingdom is located.But Lingshan is not Amitabha’s territory.Because the original name of Lingshan Mountain is Lingjiu Mountain, it is the place where Sakyamuni Buddha lectured.Even if it really exists, it should be in the whirling world, not in the Western Paradise.

In addition, there are doubts about Buddhism in Journey to the West. The ultimate goal of Journey to the West is to spread Mahayana Buddhism to the east.

Mahayana Buddhism has always been about the Buddhism of Amitabha, who saves all sentient beings.The Hinayana Buddha's method of saving oneself is about cultivating one's body, defeating wisdom, and finally achieving great liberation and freedom. It is a method that can achieve positive results through practice.The Mahayana Buddhism is different. The Mahayana Buddhism focuses on saving people.They believe that through Buddha-nature and Bodhisattva conduct, others can see their nature and understand their minds and achieve positive results.For example, the so-called putting down the butcher's knife and becoming a Buddha immediately is the thought of Mahayana Buddha.

Regardless of the quality of these two kinds of Buddhism, we can see the importance of Amitabha in the entire journey to the West just by going to the West to obtain the so-called Mahayana Buddhism.As we all know, there is only one Buddha in Journey to the West, and that is Tathagata.Many people regard Tathagata as Sakyamuni Buddha. This is actually a prejudice based on what others say.

Tathagata, the Sanskrit sound is Dotuo Ajiata.It means that there is nothing to come from and nothing to go to, hence the name Tathagata.This title does not only refer to a certain Buddha, but is a respectful title for a powerful person.Therefore, the Tathagata in Journey to the West does not necessarily refer to Sakyamuni. He may also refer to Amitabha Buddha or even the future Maitreya Buddha.

Various known signs indicate that the so-called Tathagata is more likely to be Amitabha Buddha, the Lord of the Western Paradise, rather than Sakyamuni Buddha as people have always thought.This is evidence whether viewed from the perspective of the existence of the Western Paradise or the Mahayana Buddhism.And if you don’t believe it, there is actually another piece of evidence.

Each of the three Buddhas has two sidekick bodhisattvas beside him.From the perspective of Journey to the West, there is only one most prominent Bodhisattva in the entire story, and that is Guanyin.What's interesting is that Sakyamuni's side attendants are not Guanshiyin, but Manjushri and Samantabhadra.Avalokitesvara is actually Amitabha's sidekick.

Avalokitesvara is not an idle existence.Her magical powers are not inferior to those of the Buddha. The reason why she has not become a Buddha is simply because her great aspirations have not been realized.For such an existence, if it were not her immediate boss, no one would be able to force her to move.Looking at her active performance in Journey to the West, Tathagata's identity is actually obvious.

Of course, if you calculate this, the entire Buddhist sect may be in chaos.But in fact, if you look at it carefully and compare it, you will find that this is the real Buddhism.

It is certain that Buddhism, which was born in the fifth century BC, was founded by Sakyamuni.But Sakyamuni may not be the leader of the revival of Buddhism.

He went from searching for the Tao to meditating and practicing asceticism, and then to attaining enlightenment.Finally, he gained great wisdom and transcendence and became a Buddha.This can be said to have laid the foundation and evolved the path for the prosperity of Buddhism.However, this does not mean that he can directly make the entire Buddhism flourish to the extent it later did.

First, Devadatta was rebellious.This cousin of Sakyamuni was the leader of Buddhism at the time, and his rebellion and division must have had an impact on Buddhism.Then, the two sages died.The death of Shariputra, who was almost the actual leader of the Buddhist order, and the fact that Maha Moggallana was killed by a Brahmin were almost inevitable, making the development of Buddhism worse.

Finally, the demise of the Sakya clan was a fatal blow to Buddhism.

After experiencing many blows, even a venerable person like Sakyamuni could not bear it.According to historical research, Sakyamuni passed away in Kushina and was refined into relics.

Buddha bone relics, this is a real thing.And this alone is enough to prove that the so-called Sakyamuni Buddha actually no longer exists.Immortality and immortality are actually just words.In the face of cruel reality and war, even a character like him is almost bound to be destroyed.

And only when the founder like him is gone, Amitabha, one of the third generation Buddhas, is qualified to become the sole ruler of the entire Buddhist sect.

There is only one Buddha, and that is Amitabha.And Amitabha brought the Western Heaven Buddhist Kingdom and the place where Lingshan preached sermons into the heavenly realm. In fact, it has already explained what kind of disaster the entire Buddhist sect has suffered.

There is only one of the three Buddhas, and only Avalokitesvara, Manjushri and Samantabhadra remain.Plus Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Maitreya Buddha who were latecomers.There are actually only a few great supernatural powers left in the entire Buddhist sect.Others, such as the Eight Hundred Arhats, the Four Heavenly Kings, and the Eight Tribes, are still alive, but they are not the mainstay of the entire Buddhist sect after all.

Achieving the Buddhahood is the real mainstay of Buddhism and the future of Buddhism as a whole.However, it is not easy for the Buddhist sect, which has been knocked down into the void in the battle between gods and had to merge into the heavenly realm, to obtain those disciples who can achieve the Buddha's fruition.Talent is scarce everywhere.Even if he changed to another realm and came to the more inclusive Middle-earth to preach.Buddhism will also face severe competitive pressure.

However, Amitabha is, after all, the leader of Buddhism’s resurgence.Unlike Sakyamuni's tolerant attitude, this Buddha has always acted in a domineering manner, and his methods are also extraordinary.This is not consistent with the Buddha's transcendence, compassion and equality, but it is undeniable that such methods are indeed necessary to revitalize Buddhism.

For Buddhism to develop into what it is today in China, Amitabha Buddha, who claims to be the Tathagata, is indispensable.But as the heaven fell into the depths of the void, the development of Buddhism inevitably fell into a bottleneck.

The China of China is still there, and Heaven and Taoism can still tolerate the expansion and development of Buddhism.After all, there is enough food on the plate, so it’s not a big deal to have an extra pair of chopsticks to share it with.But when Zhongtu Shenzhou broke away from the control of heaven, things became different.If you can't even fill your own stomach, how can you possibly satisfy a foreign guest like you?

So since then, the development of Buddhism has been restricted.Even if they colluded with the Jade Emperor of Heaven to fight against the Dao Sect, the result would not be much better.

After all, the Jade Emperor is not a fool.It was impossible for him to do something stupid like coming out of the tiger's mouth and back into the wolf's den.While cooperating, it also created a stumbling block for the Buddhists, making it difficult for them to move forward.This is not a problem at all for him who is accustomed to using intrigues.

But now, he can no longer do this.Because he who wrote such an edict obviously planned to use the condition of loosening restrictions in exchange for the support of Buddhism.

Under this condition, Buddhism will certainly not turn a blind eye.The only question is what conditions he should offer in order to gain the greatest support from Buddhism.And this is the biggest problem facing Taibaijinxing.His coming here shows that he already has a certain knowledge of how to solve this problem.

It all depends on human effort.Having already made up such a determination, it is certainly impossible for him to stagnate due to scruples at this time.So immediately, he shouted in the direction of Lingshan Mountain Gate.

"Taibai Jinxing, the envoy from heaven, asked to see the Tathagata Buddha and also wanted to be informed by the Dharma Protector Bodhisattva. He said that the Jade Emperor had something important to discuss with the Buddha."
