098 A slightly lonely Christmas
On Christmas Day, the Tulip Manor was full of people, mostly the descendants of Nick and Perenal. When they saw Edward sitting in the main seat, Nick could only sit in the first seat on the right. They were very surprised, but most of them remained silent in tacit agreement.
They knew very well what kind of temper the old man had.
This is definitely a very luxurious Christmas banquet, with countless rare and magical animals being brought to the table - if Hagrid saw it, he would definitely cry.
Everyone, even the most stern people, were decked out in Christmas decorations as they gathered to celebrate Nick Flamel and Perenal turning one year older.
Stacks of roasted meats and roasted turkeys are a repertoire of Christmas banquets. Platefuls of delicious sausages, bowls of gravy and lingonberry sauce - just a few steps along the table, there are a lot of them. A large pile of Christmas gift boxes with many small gifts hidden inside.
At about nine o'clock in the evening, Edward left the dinner table. He stood out here. After all, this was Nick's family gathering, and he seemed out of place. Although Nick had no intention of doing so, the younger members of the family didn't even mean it. Don't know Edward.
They wisely did not disturb Edward.
Returning to his room, Edward took out his wand and was slightly stunned. This was his best friend's home, but he didn't seem so comfortable. This party is for Nick and Perenal, they should enjoy themselves and not take care of their own feelings.
"Maybe I should go back to Yumbulakang." Edward said thoughtfully, and then shook his head quickly, "Tibet doesn't celebrate Christmas, they only celebrate the Chinese New Year."
"Oh, after all these years, I'm still alone." Edward sighed.
But soon, he suddenly had a wonderful idea.
Perhaps, he is not alone in Europe.
He also has two disciples - well, Gilderoy is probably still chasing vampires in the Black Forest, but he also has Hermione, right?
"It's decided, let's go visit the Granger family." Edward stood up straight and stretched his right hand into the air. The air shook and a dark blue vortex appeared out of thin air.
His palm sank directly into the whirlpool, and after rummaging for a long time, Edward took out a small gift box from it.
"Christmas gifts! You can never have too many."
Edward clenched his wand, tapped his toes, and disappeared in an instant.
When his figure became clear again, he had arrived in front of the Granger family's single-family villa.
Several children wearing Santa Claus red hats chased each other on the street.
"This kind of life is actually pretty good." Edward said with emotion and rang the doorbell gently.
Soon there were footsteps in the hall, the door was pushed open, and a man's voice said: "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Mr. Granger." Edward waved his hand, "I hope my arrival will not disturb you too much."
"Edward Lumpo!" Mr. Wendell Granger was stunned, and then covered the lower half of his face with his hands, "How-how did you appear here!?"
"Dad, who's here?" Hermione's voice came from the living room.
"Baby, you won't believe it, you are coming to spend Christmas with us." Mr. Granger said excitedly, "Please come in, Mr. Rumple, come in quickly."
"Excuse me." Edward said softly, and then took out his gift from his pocket. He specially prepared some magical gadgets for the Grangers, which didn't have much effect, a glasses case that could automatically clean glasses, and A set of wizarding beauty products.
"No way!" said Mr. Granger ecstatically. "We are so lucky to have you here."
"By the way, here are the Christmas gifts for you." Edward handed the two gift boxes to Mr. Granger.
Entering the living room, Hermione jumped down from the sofa. She was wearing light pink pajamas. It looked like she had just had dinner with her family and was probably getting ready to go to bed.
They had undoubtedly had dinner, and Edward suddenly realized how unexpected his visit had been.
There is nothing more annoying than this!
"Merry Christmas, Hermione." Edward forced a smile.
"Merry Christmas, teacher." Hermione said happily, "I thought I wouldn't receive your letter until tomorrow morning, but I didn't expect you to come here in person."
"That's what I originally planned." Edward shrugged. In fact, he had mailed the Christmas gift to Hermione via owl earlier. However, the owl may be traveling through the wind and snow at the moment. In a few hours, the owl should would make it to Hermione's bedside.
Since it was too late, the Grangers were obviously ready for bed. Edward just chatted with the Grangers about Hermione's education before getting up and leaving.
Although Mr. Granger kindly invited Edward to stay overnight, Edward still declined and left. It was undeniable that the Grangers were very good people.
Back at Tulip Manor, Edward felt a little bored, so he simply went to the underground alchemy laboratory and began to experiment with human body refining - resurrecting Lily Evans.
A large crucible was placed in the middle of the room, with various materials needed for the experiment placed next to it, including but not limited to the remains of Lily's parents, one kilogram of acanthus, three kilograms of elder...
Of course, the most important material is indispensable - the magic stone, a small piece of remaining magic stone, but it is enough.
Edward used his wand to write the inscriptions necessary for the ritual on the ground at the bottom of the cauldron.
Not long after, the ground was covered with dense magic text.
"That's almost it," Edward murmured.
A crackling fire suddenly burst out under the cauldron, and Edward threw his wand aside.
The liquid in the crucible heats very quickly. It is dew collected in the first rays of the morning sun and is known as the purest liquid.
Not only did the surface begin to boil, but sparks shot out, as if it were on fire.
The steam became thicker and thicker, and Edward's figure, who was tending the flames, became blurry.
The door to the basement was pushed open gently, and it was Nick who poked his head in.
"Need help?" he asked softly.
Edward nodded, "I'm afraid I need you to come in and check it again. You are much more familiar with this ritual than I am."
Nick walked into the room, closed the door gently, squatted down, and looked at the magic text on the ground carefully, his eyes almost touching the ground.
"Edward, your level of magic writing is as superb as ever." Nick admired sincerely, "It's just that here... you need to strengthen it. Once the body is born in the crucible, the splash of water will easily destroy it. Blurred, and over there..."
