Chapter 1324 Exquisite Artifacts

After the salvage was over, a pool was specially sorted out on the large [-]-ton salvage ship that Chen Wenzhe was on.

The 511 boards that had been out of the water before were immediately transported into the cabin and soaked in the pool as soon as they left the water.

These ship parts, most of which are 5 to 6 meters long and over 30 centimeters wide, are made of pine or fir.

The bottom hull is basically well preserved, and the residual length of the keel out of the water is 16.7 meters.

The keel is the largest and longest member of the hull, just like the spine of the ship runs through the entire hull.

From this, Chen Wenzhe speculated that the ship was more than 20 meters long, about 6 meters wide, 3 to 4 meters deep, and had a displacement of more than 60 tons. It was a relatively large merchant ship in the Song Dynasty in my country.

During the underwater excavation, the team found that the hull still retained 11 remaining watertight compartments, indicating that it adopted an advanced watertight compartment design.

Watertight compartments are a great invention of ancient Chinese shipbuilding technology, and watertight compartments were invented in my country at the latest in the Tang Dynasty.

The main advantage of the watertight compartment is that, firstly, it strengthens the lateral strength of the ship and makes the ship stronger.

The second has watertight compartments, even if one or two cabins are damaged and flooded, the ship will not sink, and it can still sail after repairing.

There are various indications that this ship is likely to be a high-quality blessing ship built in the southern part of Hu Jian Province during the Southern Song Dynasty in my country.

Zheng He, the great navigator of the Ming Dynasty in my country, once led a huge fleet to the Western Seas seven times, and Fuchuan was the main ship type of the fleet.

The treasure ship that Zheng He took was a sharp-bottomed blessing ship, 126 meters long, and the world's first [-]-ton ocean-going ship.

As early as the Han Dynasty, my country opened up the Maritime Silk Road, which mainly traveled along the coastline.

This route is safe but takes a lot of time.

In the Song Dynasty, with the application of advanced technologies such as nautical compass and watertight compartments, my country's ocean-going navigation technology developed by leaps and bounds.

The ship passed through the deep sea area of the South my country Sea and reached Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

Ocean-going sailing ships braved the wind and waves and sailed on this route.

This Southern Song Fu ship is one of them.

Although it sank during the voyage, it is strange that the shipwreck site is not on the bottom of the sea, but on the reef of the underwater reef.

After repeated research, Chen Wenzhe came to an unexpected conclusion.

The site of this ship is not the place where the ship crashed.

In the age of sailing, my country's South China Sea navigation mainly relied on monsoons.

For sailing ships, the monsoon is a double-edged sword, not only the driving force of the ship, but also the culprit of shipwreck.

This is obviously one of the dangerous waters on this channel, with reefs large and small.

With the ebb and flow of the tide, the reefs appear and disappear, threatening passing ships at all times.

When the ship was fully loaded with porcelain and sailed here, suddenly the sea wind picked up, and the strong wind pushed huge waves to overturn the river and overwhelm the sea.

The ship was originally going to sail into the reef to avoid the wind and waves.

But it lost control and hit the reef, and the ship that hit the reef was pushed to the reef by the waves and ran aground there.

With the ebb and flow of the tide, the buildings on the deck were completely destroyed, and the hull was partially disintegrated and gradually buried by coral sand.

This time, Chen Wenzhe and the others used six large salvage ships, dispatched a total of hundreds of people, and countless mechanical equipment to salvage the ship as a whole.

According to the final statistics, hundreds of people went into the water every day and worked for more than [-] hours a day. It took two months to complete the salvage.

He has been here for such a long time, and the salvage personnel on the ship have changed several batches.

At this time, Chen Wenzhe was very lucky. Fortunately, he hired Gao Qijing and other local related households. Otherwise, this sea area would definitely not be as calm as it is now.

Looking at many divers whom he had never seen before, but walked and sat upright, Chen Wenzhe almost burst his mouth with laughter.

It is with such a group of high-quality team members, coupled with the luxurious equipment he spent a huge amount of money on, that he was able to produce nearly 500 pieces of porcelain and more than [-] damaged ship plates in a short period of time.

Originally, Chen Wenzhe planned to go back to celebrate the New Year by boat, but he really didn't expect to stay in this sea area for more than four months.

If it wasn't for a deserted island not far away, he would definitely not be able to hold on.

Of course, fortunately, they are all big ships, and they are accompanied by a large supply ship.

This means that their fleet is strong, otherwise, if the first batch of porcelain comes out, there will definitely be chaos here.

There is no way to avoid chaos, because the cargo loaded on this ship is still very precious.

The main reason is that the quantity is too large. This is the export porcelain of the Southern Song Dynasty in my country. There are tens of thousands of pieces of porcelain, mainly blue and white porcelain celadon.

There are also sauce-glazed ceramics, including porcelain bowls, porcelain plates, porcelain plates, porcelain bottles, as well as porcelain powder boxes, porcelain jars, military holders and other water containers.

Porcelain is decorated with the methods commonly used in the Song Dynasty, such as engraving, stamping, and pasting.

The decorations are mainly flowers, including lotus, peony, chrysanthemum, etc., as well as figure decorations and auspicious characters.

Among the porcelains out of water, many porcelains have pure glaze color, fine patterns, and are very exquisitely made.

For example, an octagonal jug with a flower mouth was already broken when it came out of the water. These days, when Chen Wenzhe was free, he repaired it.

It can be repaired on board, mainly because there are small electric kilns, and all the professional tools he wants to transport will be domestic.

When it is repaired, it will be a fine teapot.

This pot has a thin body, clear glaze, and an octagonal abdomen.

It has a waist, a long neck, a slender meander, and a curved pot handle, like a slim girl with icy muscles and bones, elegant and elegant.

In addition, there are many fine porcelain, like a box.

That should be a powder case, which is a container for cosmetics such as rouge, and is the favorite of women.

Most of the compacts on this shipwreck are round, in the shape of orange petals, and various floral patterns are molded on the lid.

There are six-star flower patterns, twelve chrysanthemum patterns, broken-twig peony patterns, and needle-leaf patterns.

Others include folded lotus patterns and grass leaf patterns, which are very beautiful.

A lot of similar powder boxes were unearthed in the Dehua kiln in Hu Jian, and the Song Dynasty site.

Comparing them, the two are very similar.

Of course, most of the porcelain on the sunken ship is some celadon dishes, and the slightly special one is the celadon vase.

These small celadon vases are also one of the many exquisite artifacts on the sunken ship.

The glaze color of this kind of porcelain bottle is white and yellowish, and the soles of the feet are exposed.

Looking at the style, it is almost the same as the celadon vase found at the site of Hu Jiandehua Kiln in the Song Dynasty.

It can be seen from this that these porcelains may have come from the same kiln.

In addition to these special porcelains, the ship was also loaded with many Jizi porcelain bowls.

The inner wall of this kind of bowl is painted with grass leaf pattern, and there is a word "Ji" in the center of the bowl.

Coincidentally, many fragments of Jizi porcelain bowls were also found in the Hujian Luodong Kiln site.

From this, it can be considered that most of the porcelain on this ship was fired in folk kilns such as Hu Jiandehua Kiln, Nan'an Kiln, and Cizao Kiln.
