How to identify them?It must be analyzed according to the age of the utensils and the actual situation of the kiln mouth.

Because of the long or short age, the depth and shallowness of the sea water, the salt content of the sea area, the sand or mud on the bottom of the sea, etc., all of them will cause the utensils to be different when they come out of the water.

But "Hai Lao Porcelain" has a common animal that has been sleeping in sea water for thousands of years.

Due to erosion by seawater, a layer of natural and uniform weathering layer will be formed on the surface of the tire glaze, that is, patina.

If it is the "Hai Lao Porcelain" of the Qing, Kang, Yong and Qian Dynasties, the identification is even simpler.

So why talk about the export porcelain of the three dynasties of the Qing Dynasty?Because Chen Wenzhe also found a very beautiful porcelain with emerald blue hair color among a pile of fake porcelain salvaged from the sea.

Looking at other fake hailao porcelains, after these "hailao porcelains" come out of the water, due to poor maintenance, the glaze surface is all dull, because the surface layer of the glaze is damaged.

Because the liquid of marine organisms contains gelatinous ingredients, and some shells stick to it, even if the utensils have been washed clean after the water comes out, the gelatinous substances stuck in the broken bubbles of the glaze layer are still there and cannot be washed off thoroughly, so the glaze surface There will also be a layer of glue attached to cover the glaze.

To make hailao porcelain smooth and clean, it must be soaked in water containing 1% oxalic acid for one day.

Then soak it in washing powder water for one day, and then wash it with fresh water.

Frequently rub the glaze surface of the utensils with your hands to wipe off the "old mud" (dirt) on the glaze surface. Touching the utensils frequently will gradually restore the glaze light.

"Maybe this is really something that was fished out of the sea!"
