In the 80s, the ruins of Ru Kiln at Qingliang Temple in Nanhe were discovered.

A large number of Ru official kiln fragments, saggers, kiln furniture, kilns, workshops, etc. were unearthed from it.

At this time, the mysterious veil of Ru official kiln was slowly lifted.

For a long time, Ru porcelain has been called "like jade, not jade, but better than jade" by the world.

Genuine Ru porcelain has the characteristics of fine soil, body like Dong body, thick glaze and sound like an engine, bright but not dazzling.

Therefore, the preciousness of Ru porcelain does not lie in its shape, but in its enamel and glaze color.

The glaze surface is moist and soft, pure as jade, and has the obvious feeling of ghee.

In the later period, its most distinctive glaze colors were sky blue and sky blue as the main colors, as well as bean green, pink green, light green, and plum green.

This quality is due to its unique glaze formula, complex production process and almost demanding firing range.

Chen Wenzhe saw the unique formula.

The glaze formula of Ru porcelain is a high-aluminum-low-silicon formula, and there is agate in the glaze, so the glaze of Ru porcelain has a jade-like feel.

The Ruzhou area is rich in porcelain clay, glaze, rich fuel resources, dense forests on the mountains, and hundreds of miles of coal seas underground, all of which provided extremely favorable conditions for the development of Ruzhou porcelain industry in the Song Dynasty.

Once the address is determined, combined with the modern Ruzhou Ru Kiln, Chen Wenzhe can compare a lot of information.

Many people in modern times imitate Ru kiln porcelain, and Ruzhou is the best among them, but the porcelain they imitate is only similar in shape, and even the color is not satisfactory, not to mention the texture of the glaze and cracks.

Similar in shape but not in spirit is the reason why Ruzhou Ru kiln porcelain is not famous in modern Ruzhou.

However, whether the modern imitation is good or not is of no reference value to Chen Wenzhe, what he needs is qualified raw materials.

Ru porcelain is named after the place, and its mud and glaze are all taken from the place. It is enough to know this.

"I didn't expect it to be so easy? It seems that if you want something, just buy it directly!"

Chen Wenzhe was quite happy when he found the raw materials and they were easy to buy.

Next, he started to look at the firing process of the three-legged wash in his hand through backtracking.

This piece of porcelain must have a long history. What Chen Wenzhe is most interested in is the materials used in the design of the kiln site, and then the firing process.

He didn't rush to study these carefully, he just looked at the general process and knew it well.

Ru kiln has a very high level of craftsmanship, whether it is the production process or the firing process, it is very complicated, and you will definitely not be able to learn it in a while.

Now he is just taking a general look, the most important thing is that he wants to take a look at the origin of this exquisite piece in his hand first!

"The author is Yan He? Is this the inventor of Azure?"

After thinking about it for a while, Chen Wenzhe remembered who this Yan He was.

It is not an exaggeration to say that this man is called a skilled craftsman. He can be said to be a real master of porcelain making, especially for Ru kiln porcelain, he is a master of masters.

At that time, Ru porcelain was divided into three categories: Minru, Guanru and official porcelain.

In the late Northern Song Dynasty, Ru porcelain began to be appreciated and favored by the court nobles, so official Ru porcelain was born, which is also called Ru porcelain in history books.

Ru porcelain was regarded as an auspicious thing by the emperors of all dynasties.

When it comes to Ruguan porcelain, one has to say Yan He.

There has been a folk legend about Ru porcelain and Ruguan porcelain.

According to legend, more than 800 years ago, Zhao Ji, Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty, had a dream that the sky would clear after the rain.

He was very fond of the color in the sky after the rain and the sky cleared in his dream, so he passed down an imperial decree to the porcelain craftsmen all over the country: "After the rain, the sky clears and the clouds clear, this color will be the future."

Zhao Ji's request stumped many craftsmen at that time.

It is said that the two successive porcelain officials at that time were dismissed because they failed to burn azure porcelain.

In the end, the task fell on Yan He, a potter with great skills, Song Huizong ordered him to burn new porcelain within a time limit, and sent him to the army against the time limit.

Even though Yan He is amazing, he is also helpless with this dreamlike azure color.

One night, Yan He had a dream. In the dream, the god pointed out that living people must sacrifice to the kiln.

Seeing that the deadline was coming, Yan He looked at the burning kiln fire anxiously thinking about the absurd dream.

His seven-year-old daughter Yan Ying asked the reason, and he said: "The first two porcelain officials have been dismissed. If I can't make azure porcelain, I will be in trouble!"

The daughter asked: "How can I burn it into an azure color?"

He said: "The gods said that if a living person jumped into it, it might be possible to make porcelain of this color, but how could I have the heart to harm the people!"

Unexpectedly, as soon as the words were finished, Yan Ying jumped into the kiln, and in an instant, the flames rose and the brilliance shone, and a generation of peerless masterpieces came out.

Looking at its glaze color, it is like a sunny day after rain, bright and transparent, smooth and delicate, just like beautiful jade.

On a closer look, the glazed surface has small openings like the wings of a cicada, appearing and disappearing under the light, like the twinkling morning stars.

This realm of "heavenly workmanship and freshness" and its simple, strong, soft, and elegant style suddenly captivated the literati emperor who was fascinated by Taoism.

In the eyes of Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty, Ru porcelain is not a display object, nor a daily necessities, but a masterpiece of art.

So he ordered that Ru porcelain be used as imperial porcelain by the court and not be used by the people.

It is difficult to verify the authenticity of the story, but it is precisely because of the scarcity of Ruci and the exquisiteness of his works that Ru Ci adds a layer of legendary mystery.

Of course, now Chen Wenzhe is 100% sure that this legend is false, because he watched Yan He's process of firing Ru official kiln porcelain.

Here, he found no sign of any martyrdom at all.

Now Chen Wenzhe has an understanding of the whole process of Ru porcelain production.

He has a new understanding from the selection of raw materials, material grinding, grouting, trimming, biscuit firing, glaze firing, etc., to the final classification and storage.

Song Huizong devoted all his manpower and material resources in order to surpass the previous dynasty and create a comparable Ru kiln.

The Ru official kiln produced by Yan He has a superior color and effect.

It is only after seeing the firing process of the Ru Kiln that one can truly understand that the porcelain body of the Ru Kiln is not white.

This is a unique color that can be seen from the edge, with a tinge of lavender, called "fragrant gray tire".

The glaze color of porcelain, whether it is translucent or opaque, shows a very soft and pleasing azure color, and often has slight glaze cracks, which are commonly known as "crab claw patterns".

This kind of color and effect has been imitated by later generations, whether it is the official kiln and Ge kiln of the Southern Song Dynasty, or the Yongzheng and Qianlong kilns of the Qing Dynasty. To the point of being obsolete!

"The craftsmanship is too complicated. I really don't know how the ancients researched it."

Having seen the process of making Ru kiln porcelain, Chen Wenzhe really admires the ancients, especially Yan He.

Although it is said that his daughter's kiln was fake, the Ruguan kiln he made is really not simple.
