Immortals at Marvel's Hogwarts

Chapter 14 The trip to Diagon Alley

"Huh~ Finally came in!"

Luke felt the urge to shout. He turned back to look at James and Hermione, and saw that they were also looking at the scene in front of them in surprise.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley, let's go to Gringotts Wizarding Bank to exchange some money first. Gringotts is run by goblins." Luke said excitedly.

"I feel like I have passed through a time tunnel. The style here is from centuries ago." James sighed.

"Goblins? Are they the goblins written in the book?" Hermione asked.

"Come on, the first episode of Fantasy Journey begins." Luke did not answer Hermione's question directly, but planned to take her to see it for herself.

There were vendors setting up stalls on both sides of the street, wizards negotiating prices, and children gathered in front of the Quidditch display window.

The three of them walked through the crowd and soon came to a white building.

Standing next to the two shiny bronze doors was a goblin in a scarlet-gold uniform. Hermione, who came to Diagon Alley two years in advance, looked at the goblin in front of her very curiously.

"Let's go in. Goblins are smart, but sometimes not so friendly. Follow me Hermione."

Walking through the inner hall, I saw the second silver door with warning words written on it.

Come in, stranger, but be careful

What is the end of insatiable greed,

Blindly ask for, get for nothing,

will be severely punished,

……

"Normally, the security level here is very high. After all, there is only one bank in the entire UK, and there is even a dragon guarding the treasure house below." Luke introduced.

Passing through the silver door is a tall marble hall.

Hundreds of goblins sat on high stools behind a row of long counters, weighing coins with copper scales, inspecting gems with eyepieces, or scribbling entries in a large ledger.

"Dad, give me the pounds you prepared. I don't know if I can exchange them all."

"Are these enough? I brought some more." James said.

Luke thought for a while, and at a ratio of 1:5, it would be almost 200 gold galleons. "That should be enough, Dad."

Walking to the counter, he suddenly found that the counter was a bit high. Although he had taken the Marrow Cleansing Pill, Luke, who was only 10 years old, could not reach the counter. He could only raise his head and said: "Hello Mr. Goblin, I would like to exchange some Gold galleons, how many pounds does it cost to have a conversation with 200 galleons?”

The goblin on the counter looked at Luke, "Now the exchange rate is 980 pounds."

"Please exchange it for 200 Galleons for me."

"Okay, wait a minute." The goblin took the pound.

"Mr. Goblin, please tell me, is there any limit on the amount of pounds that can be converted into galleons?" Luke asked curiously.

"There is no such rule, but generally we will not accept large amounts of Muggle currency in exchange."

"The goblins are very efficient at work, which reminds me of a famous saying." Luke looked at the goblins and thought of a certain green-skinned race.

"What famous quote?" Hermione, who has the talent of being a top student, didn't expect what the famous quote was.

"Time is money, my friend." Luke said it in a weird accent, making Hermione giggle.

"You are right little wizard." This sentence was also recognized by the goblin on the counter.

After counting the pounds, the goblin took a bag of gold galleons and handed it to Luke, leading them to the side to verify the number of galleons.

"They are all gold coins." James picked up a Galleons in surprise and looked through it in his hand. 980 pounds was exchanged for so many gold coins, which was a huge profit.

Hermione looked at the content on the galleons curiously.

After counting the galleons, everyone left Gringotts directly.

"Shopping first, then shopping. Hermione, don't you really want to know about the wizarding world? We can buy some books introducing the wizarding world later."

"But I didn't bring any money this time." Hermione said a little embarrassed.

"It's okay, I can buy a few more books, and we can exchange them. Flourish and Blotts Bookstore is right in front. I saw it when I came here just now. I will buy many textbooks here in the future, and it also supports Owl Express." Hermione said proudly It's still very strong. If you buy it for her, she probably won't want it. If you look at it instead, it should be fine.

"Owl Express? Can these owls deliver express?" Hermione pointed to the owls for sale on the roadside.

"Yes, wizards use owls to deliver letters and couriers. Remember when my grandfather wrote letters to friends, he used owls." Luke continued to explain: "When I go to Hogwarts in the future, I will also use owls. Use owl and write home, technology is not available at Hogwarts.”

"Here we are, Flourish and Blotts Bookstore. Let's look for books that interest us and meet up later." Luke opened the door and followed Hermione and James in.

There might be a lot of books he wanted to buy, so Luke asked the manager for a pen and a piece of paper, and wrote down all the books he wanted to buy, including all Hogwarts textbooks and some books he was interested in, a total of 42 (In addition to Lockhart's books, the Forbidden Zone and the wizarding family's books, almost all the books that appear in the original works are included.)

Luke mainly wanted to try it out to see if there was any possibility of fusion or improvement between magic and the spells obtained by his own system.

He found Hermione and said, "How are you reading? Are there any books in here that you are just interested in?"

"There are so many books here, I don't even know which ones to choose." Hermione looked at the book list recorded on Luke's paper in surprise, "Why did you choose so many books? There are only 7 standard spells, and Junior high school advanced transfiguration, advanced potion making..."

"Most of them are actually Hogwarts textbooks. I bought them early and previewed them in advance." Luke said nonchalantly.

"Why don't you buy these first so you can remember them? It will last us a long time." Hermione felt that with these books, she no longer needed to choose.

"Have you two made your choice?" James walked over.

"I've written it all down. Dad, do you want to buy anything?"

"I don't see anything I can use." James was a little frustrated.

"Don't be sad, Dad, I'll buy you some ice cream later." Luke said with a smile.

"You brat, you think I'm Anna."

Talking and laughing, he came to the manager's side and said, "Hello, please help me pack these books. Will there be bags provided?" Luke asked.

"If you buy in bulk, we can provide delivery services, or baskets of books. Oh! Sir, you can have all of these books. It contains all the Hogwarts textbooks, as well as some very advanced books." He had hardly seen it once. The little wizard who bought so many books.

"Isn't knowledge just for learning? How much is the total?" Luke did not directly answer the manager's question, "Dad, get me some baskets to put the books in."

"What a little wizard who loves to learn. You will definitely become an outstanding wizard in the future. The total is 66 Galleons, 5 Sickles and 12 Nats. I'll give you a discount of 66 Galleons."

Luke took out 66 galleons from the bag and handed it to the manager. "Just count them."

"Exactly. Welcome to visit us next time. We also support mail order. You just need to send the book list via owl." The manager likes this kind of big customer very much.

James was responsible for carrying the books, and everyone left the bookstore together.

"Dad, you and Hermione are waiting for me here. I remembered that I didn't buy an important book." Luke said and ran back to the bookstore.

A moment later, Luke ran back with a book in his arms.

"Hermione gave you this book. You should like it."

"'Hogwarts: A School History' Thank you Luke." Hermione received the book and hugged Luke.

"Haha~ You're welcome." Luke's face turned slightly red and he replied with a silly smile. He didn't expect Hermione to hug him.

"Dad, come here." Luke called James from a deserted corner next to him.

"What's wrong, you still know that I exist." James joked with a smile.

As soon as James finished speaking, he found that all the books in the basket had disappeared. His first reaction was that there was a thief, but after thinking about it carefully, it was not the case, and he looked at Luke in confusion.

"I've put the book away, so you don't have to carry it hard. Let's go eat ice cream."

"Where are your books?" Hermione asked.

"I put it away. It's too inconvenient. Put your book in my dad's basket first. Let's go eat ice cream." He said and put the book that Hermione was holding into James's basket. Under James' stunned gaze, He led Hermione towards Florin Fusco's Ice Cream Shop.

This kid wanted to talk to Helen when he went back, and James followed him with a smile.

"Dad, I bought you a chocolate nut one. The chocolate raspberry one we both want is the two best-selling flavors."

"It's really delicious. It's a pity that Anna didn't come, otherwise she would definitely like it." James took a bite and said.

"We are familiar with the route this time. We can bring mom and Anna with us next time." This time he was not sure whether he could come in, so he didn't let everyone come together.

While eating ice cream, Luke also introduced many unique shops to James and Hermione, such as the Quidditch Boutique, the Jumping Magic Joke Shop, and Ollivander's Wand Shop, etc.
