Unseal at Hogwarts
Chapter 8 Is mom also a wizard? !
Mom's ability to tell lies is getting better and better.
Tom gave Cynthia a thumbs up in his mind.
"Kelu?" Professor McGonagall turned his attention to Kelu Belos.
But Ruberos quickly raised his paw, stuck out his tongue and licked it.
"Yes." Cynthia also cast her eyes on Kerubelos and sighed, "Although Kerubelos is a bit bigger than the average cat, the important thing is that Tom likes him. There is nothing we can do about it."
Professor McGonagall expressed understanding.
Afterwards, Marcus drove and the group arrived at the address Professor McGonagall said.
After getting off the bus, Professor McGonagall led Tom's family and Kerberos into the Leaky Cauldron.
Professor McGonagall briefly introduced Diagon Alley to Tom. After nodding to Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, he led Tom and the others into Diagon Alley from the backyard of the bar.
Even though Hogwarts isn't on summer break yet, Diagon Alley is full of people.
Tom and Kerberos' eyes were almost glued to the shops on both sides of the road, making Professor McGonagall, who had been observing them secretly, couldn't help but smile.
"First of all, you have to go to Gringotts to exchange Muggle currency into magical currency." Professor McGonagall said.
The group followed Professor McGonagall to Gringotts.
At the door, a goblin wearing a scarlet and gold uniform immediately led Tom and his family to the hall. Professor McGonagall stood waiting politely at the door and did not follow.
In the hall, hundreds of goblins were sitting behind the tall counter and busy. The busy scene almost made Kerubelos unable to bear the image of his pet.
"At your service, Ms. Hunter." A goblin saluted Cynthia.
Tom and Kerubelos were stunned speechless.
What's happening here?
Tom's eyes widened.
Professor McGonagall just said that when Muggles first come to Diagon Alley, they have to exchange currency first - because Muggle currency is of no use to wizards.
And the goblin here actually recognizes mother Cynthia!
Tom looked at Marcus in disbelief, and was even more shocked when he saw Marcus's calm face.
But Ruberos moved closer to Tom and opened his mouth.
Fortunately, although Tom was surprised, he also remembered the identity of Keruberos, and slapped Keruberos on the head to stop him from speaking.
"I want to open a small treasury for my son." Cynthia smiled at the goblin and said calmly, "Tom is also old enough to attend Hogwarts, so pocket money cannot be missing."
The goblin immediately bowed and worked behind the counter for a while, then came back with a key.
Seeing how familiar Cynthia was with the goblin, Tom was surprised again.
He looked at the counter. The goblins were not as polite to the wizards in robes as they were to Cynthia.
Is my mother a very powerful wizard?
Tom pondered.
No wonder my parents didn't look surprised at all when I received my Hogwarts acceptance letter.
He suddenly discovered that his parents' previous behavior had a reasonable explanation at this moment.
His parents, who were obviously worried about his safety, were not surprised or nervous when they found out that he was going to Hogwarts, and they didn't look worried at all.
Tom originally thought it was because he had grown up and was not as cute as he was when he was a child. He also thought it was because he kept refusing his mother's request to let him wear small skirts that his parents didn't love him as much as before.
Now it seems that this is all because his mother is also a wizard and has attended Hogwarts, so she is so relieved to let him leave home to go to school alone.
Thinking this way, Tom's mood improved, and even the nauseating speed of the car leading to the underground vault became comfortable.
But why didn't his mother tell him that she was also a wizard?
According to his mother's character, as early as when he became a magician, her mother should have told him in that proud tone that she could also do magic!
Tom was lost in thought again.
The goblin's touch to open the vault door failed to bring Tom back to his senses.
It wasn't until Cynthia put a heavy bag of gold coins and a key into Tom's hand that Tom realized that in his confusion, he already had a vault of his own.
He put the keys away, put the bag in his pocket, stepped forward and hugged Cynthia, and took the opportunity to whisper to Cynthia: "I will keep it a secret for you, Mom."
Cynthia was stunned for a moment, then realized that her son had arranged a reasonable explanation for his actions in his mind.
She stroked Tom's hair lovingly and whispered, "Thank you, Tom."
Immediately, Tom let go of Cynthia and walked toward the gate of Gringotts with Croberos.
He didn't see that behind him, Cynthia smiled with crooked eyebrows, chatting and laughing with Marcus in a low voice.
Professor McGonagall saw a few people coming out and took them along Diagon Alley to buy the items Tom needed for school.
When they were buying textbooks at Flourish and Blotts, Tom also sought Professor McGonagall's advice and bought a few extra books as his extracurricular readings.
When Tom passed by Florin Fusco's Ice Cream Shop, he was immediately attracted to the delicious ice cream.
The three adults watched Tom buy five portions of ice cream almost dotingly. Even the unsmiling Professor McGonagall accepted the ice cream that Tom handed her.
But Ruberos finished the ice cream in one bite, secretly telling Tom that he wanted another helping.
"Eating too much is not good for your health." Tom touched Kerubelos' head, "But I promise you, I will buy you one every time I come to Diagon Alley."
But Rubelos's eyes sparkled with joy.
After eating ice cream, Professor McGonagall took Tom and the others to an inconspicuous shop in Diagon Alley.
"The only thing I haven't bought yet is your wand." Professor McGonagall said, "Ollivander is an excellent wand maker, and you can always find the wand that suits you best here."
But Ruberos looked at the shabby, small, dusty wand shop and curled his lips in disgust.
Tom thought about the pink wand hanging around his neck and began to worry.
However, he soon remembered the wand used by Professor McGonagall in the backyard of the Leaky Cauldron, and he felt relieved again.
As long as the new wand didn't look like Clow's wand, he would be happy to accept it.
Professor McGonagall pushed open the door of the shabby wand shop and let Tom inside.
"Welcome, welcome." An old voice sounded out of nowhere in the deserted store, "Another new little wizard."
Probably Tom has adapted to the various magical phenomena in the wizarding world, and he was not surprised to see a skinny, stooped old man suddenly appear.
"Good afternoon, Ollivander," said Professor McGonagall.
"It's really rare," Ollivander's tone was no longer so erratic, "I haven't seen you as a Muggle wizard's guide for a long time."
