Hogwarts: I Can Still Learn

Chapter 8 Fate, Wonderful!

At this time, Vincent was walking struttingly on the stone road of Diagon Alley, holding a bulging small bag full of gold galleons in his hand.

Although it's not much, it's enough for today.

Sure enough, having money is not a waste at all.

Vincent felt he needed an owl first. Not to mention that he will need them to help him contact his family when he goes to school, and the owl itself is also a good playmate. In fact, the main reason is that with the owl, he can shop online.

In this way, even if he stays at home all year round, it will not affect his purchase of goods from Diagon Alley

The owl is necessary anyway

Vincent walked into the Eela Owl store with a step that he didn't recognize.

The store was dark, and there was an indescribable odor wafting in the air.Vincent took two steps, and his feet suddenly felt weak. When he looked down, he found that the ground was covered with a thick layer of feathers.

For about a while, the owl started hooting "coo-coo" or "coo-coo" as soon as he came in, as if to say that someone was disturbing their rest.

"Hello, is there anyone?" Vincent called into the store. His childish voice was quickly drowned out by the hoot of an owl, and he didn't know if anyone could hear him.

There was a "dong" sound from the depths of the darkness, which sounded like the sound of a heavy object falling, and then Vincent saw a lean old man limping out.

"Why don't you turn on the light?" Vincent watched as the old man used his dry hands to clean up the various feathers stuck to his hair.

"Ah, what did you say?" The old man probably didn't hear what he said, and kept talking loudly to himself, "Isn't it written there that you need to ring the doorbell if you have something to do?" He stretched out his hand and pointed to Vincent's right side, "I just said I was cleaning Coco's cage and was startled when I heard the noise of the owls."

Vincent looked in the direction he pointed and saw a chubby owl standing lazily on a branch inserted into the wall. There were two long feathers standing up on both sides of its head. Like two long ears.

The owl seemed to notice him looking over, stretched out its claws and moved to the side, revealing a sign behind it, and turned its head to peck at the words on it:

"Please ring the bell if you need anything."

Vincent felt like he was being taunted by an owl.

Look at that damn bird's expression. It's contempt, right? It must be contempt, right?

hateful

"Okay, kid, what do you need? Our store got a new batch of mealworms yesterday. If you want to improve the food for the owls at home," the old man said loudly, still minding his own business.

"I want to buy an owl to turn on the light. It's so dark here that I can't even see." Vincent raised his voice. He suspected that the old man might be deaf.

"Turn on the light, no, no, no, these little guys need to rest, just look at it like this." He handed Vincent a lantern that was so dim that the brightness could be ignored and said.

"Okay." Vincent held up the lamp and looked around, only to realize that there were at least hundreds of owls of various sizes in the store.

"Is there anyone smarter and more obedient?" Vincent pinched his nose and asked. He didn't know if it was an illusion, but he always felt that the unspeakable smell was getting stronger and stronger.

"The owls I have here are very smart. They can easily find the person you want to contact as long as the food you provide is sufficient." The old man didn't seem to mind the smell here at all, or he was used to it.

"Coo" the owl that just mocked him hooted, as if agreeing with the boss's words.

"Look, it's very smart. This is a long-eared owl." He introduced to Vincent, "But it's really strange. It usually doesn't pay much attention to people. It seems that it likes you very much."

"Really?" Vincent narrowed his eyes as he looked at the bird.

Ten minutes later, Vincent walked out of the dark Eela Owl store and took a deep breath of fresh air, feeling like his nose had experienced a rebirth.

There was a cage in his hand, and inside was the chubby long-eared owl.The bird still looked lazy, as if it would fall asleep at any moment.

Vincent didn't know why he bought the bird that was mocking him out of the blue. Maybe it was the legendary "ape dung".

"Just call you Makabaka." Vincent raised the cage and said to the bird inside.

He didn’t know why, but when he saw the long ears on the owl’s head, he thought of a certain garden baby with three poops on its head.

"Bah!" Makabaka sneezed, sounding like a contemptuous sneer, as if to say: That's it.

Damn ape poop

Vincent walked into Flourish and Blotts Bookstore with a dark face.

"Welcome" came the tired voice of a wizard in the store. He was sorting out a pile of new books. He glanced at the visitor and continued working.

Vincent looked at the big bookshelf filled with books, and his mood improved instantly.

There are still several hours before the sun sets, so the decision is spent here.

Putting the cage on the ground casually, Vincent took out a book of spells commonly used at home and read it.

The book recorded magic spells such as cleaning spells, which made him itchy and he couldn't wait to try it.It’s just that you can’t take out your wand here, so it seems like you still have to buy it back.

Vincent picked out a few more magic books that didn't look too complicated. Most of them contained content that wasn't in the textbooks. He took a look at them and planned to take them home and study them again.

For things like magic spells, the more you accumulate, the better.

Knowledge is priceless, so no matter how much money you spend on books, you will lose money.Vincent understood this at an early age and today he implements this philosophy perfectly.

For bestsellers that you don’t have at home, buy classics like Hogwarts, A History of the School and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and spell books that aren’t covered in textbooks.

Looking at the pile of books in front of him, Vincent regretted not taking out the box-looking warehouse at home.

Now, he can only hope that Makabaka can gain some momentum on his first day on the job.

Vincent laboriously transported the books in batches to the counter for checkout. The books were stacked so high that he could hardly see the way. During the transportation, he inevitably knocked down a few books placed in the bookcase next door.

Some old tomes fell to the ground, and the pages spread out, almost hitting his feet.

Vincent frowned and walked away, only to see a few words on the yellowed paper that looked like ghostly drawings.

When the clerk saw a child dropping a book, he was about to put down his book and come to help. However, he saw that the little boy's eyes suddenly widened as he stared at the book on the floor, and his breathing became heavier.

This, this can't be an illness, right?

"Are you okay?" the wizard came over and asked.

"It's okay." There was a hint of excitement in the boy's tone.

He unceremoniously threw all the books in his hand to the clerk, then squatted down and carefully flipped through the fallen tome, as if he was afraid of hurting it.

Could Vincent not be excited? His eyes greedily glanced at the runes, as if they were some stunning beauty.

It's really hard to find anywhere without wearing iron shoes. It takes no effort to get there.

Isn't this the kind of rune that has been bothering him for more than two months?

Thanks to Merlin, thanks to Flourish and Blotts, thanks to Aunt Elise for kicking me out shopping.

Vincent closed the book and looked at the cover: Ancient Runes, from entry to burial

shit

Vincent couldn't even imagine that the symbol he had been studying for two months was the legendary ancient rune.

The books that fell to the ground were all about ancient runes.

It's true, fate, wonderful.

"Let's get these all together." He turned to the clerk and said to the clerk, and also grabbed a few books on the nearby bookshelf that were also written in ancient runes.

"Ah, it's not necessary." The wizard subconsciously thought that the child wanted to compensate for the books he knocked down, "It's not necessary, no one buys these books in the first place."

"It's okay, I want them all." Vincent glanced at Makabaka with pity.

The stupid bird was still dozing off, not realizing what he was about to face.

Ah, feel comfortable
