Chapter 105 Confidentiality

"Professor McGonagall, you are looking for me"

Ted Tonks walked into the head of Gryffindor's office with a puzzled look on his face. He looked like he had just finished the game and rushed over before he had time to clean up.

"Mr. Tonks, please have a seat."

Professor McGonagall pointed to the seat in front of the desk and said seriously.

Ted sat down obediently. After seeing the expression on Professor McGonagall's face, he felt inexplicably uneasy.

"Do you know where Andromeda Black was this morning?" asked Professor McGonagall.

Ted was stunned for a moment. After hesitating for a while, he secretly decided to hide it: "Andromeda is still in Hogsmeade Village. She had something to do today and didn't come to the game..."

"Tonks"

Professor McGonagall shouted angrily: "I advise you to tell the truth. This is of great importance."

Ted felt increasingly uneasy.

"Andromeda went to the Forbidden Forest, alone."

He then explained: "I know you have allowed the two of us to continue into the Forbidden Forest to find the murderer who hurt Larry, accompanied by Hagrid or other professors. But after all, we are about to graduate. And Larry refused to wake up."

"In addition, Andromeda feels particularly guilty about this. Of course, the main reason for this is myself. You all know the quarrel caused by the snake-born and the unicorn... ."

Ted's voice trailed off, a look of horror on his face.

"Andromeda... something happened?" he asked with a trembling voice.

Professor McGonagall's face was livid, and she said in a stiff tone: "She is in the same situation as Larry, she is falling into a coma."

"If you would have told me about this earlier, or followed the strict instructions I had arranged, we could have prevented this."

After hearing the word "coma", Ted could no longer hear what Professor McGonagall said next. His face turned pale, and he followed Professor McGonagall out of the office in a daze, like a walking zombie, completely losing his soul.

It wasn't until he saw Andromeda lying on the bed in the school hospital that he finally came to his senses.

"Can she be saved?" Ted asked desperately.

Neither Madam Pomfrey nor Professor McGonagall spoke, and Ted had no choice but to look for help at Professor Meadows who was standing aside.

"of course can."

Meadows said.

"But the premise is that you have to keep it a secret."

"Keep it secret" Ted asked with wide eyes: "Why?"

"Because before we found Andromeda in the Forbidden Forest, she had extra time to cast a spark spell into the sky."

Professor Meadows explained patiently: "But we cannot guarantee whether the attack suffered by Andromeda was the same as Larry's. There are many dangers in the Forbidden Forest, so the school will always try to prevent students from entering the Forbidden Forest. "

"If they are the same, then with Professor Slughorn and Madam Pomfrey here, the school is absolutely capable of rescuing Andromeda and Larry. After all, their problem is not particularly difficult, it's just It just takes a little more time to find a solution. It makes no difference whether they are at school or at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Maladies."

"But if the attacks were different..."

Meadows' beautiful eyes narrowed slightly.

"Perhaps... we can't even confirm who cast the spark spell."

Ted left.

Before leaving, he followed Professor Meadows' instructions and took a long leave for Andromeda as her boyfriend.

In the eyes of outsiders, when Andromeda decided to fall in love with Ted, she completely drew a clear line with her family, which would even cause her to be expelled from her own family.

So all of this is very reasonable behavior.

Those pure-blood supremacists made all this possible.

Madam Pomfrey continued to take care of the unconscious Andromeda, while Meadows returned to the Head of Gryffindor's office with Professor McGonagall.

"Dumbledore would never allow you to do this."

As soon as the door closed, Professor McGonagall accused him mercilessly: "He will never ignore the safety of students in order to achieve certain goals."

"Unless we're going to protect more people because of it."

Meadows retorted calmly: "And whether it is Andromeda or Larry, at least they have survived, and they will not encounter any more dangers because of what I did. Their problems will be solved sooner or later, It just takes time.”

"Besides, since the establishment of Hogwarts, there have been countless students missing in the Forbidden Forest. We do not need to be responsible for the lives of those people, especially when they did not abide by school rules."

"This is entirely their own fault. They should have considered all the consequences before making a decision and be prepared to pay the price."

Professor McGonagall glared at Meadows angrily, but Meadows just looked at her calmly.

"It's not your fault, and it's not my fault."

Meadows suddenly said: "It's not Andromeda's fault."

"It was the Death Eaters...and You-Know-Who's fault."

"We have to consider all possibilities and the consequences."

"There are many possibilities for the murderer who hurt Andromeda. Maybe it was an anomaly in the Forbidden Forest, or maybe Hogwarts is no longer safe."

"Perhaps what we should do more is to notify Dumbledore in time." Professor McGonagall was no longer so angry. She said with a slight headache: "He will always have a way to solve all this."

"He already has a solution."

Meadows said without hesitation: "His solution is me, so I will return to Hogwarts and accept this job that can only be done for one year."

"Or, less than a year." She added firmly.

There was suddenly a deep silence in the office.

"How did you solve the curse on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position?" Professor McGonagall suddenly asked.

"Still have no clue." Meadows' tone finally softened, and she shook her head helplessly: "Maybe I should go to Egypt to see what the ancient curse there is like that has lasted for thousands of years."

"You mean... ancient magic?" Professor McGonagall frowned.

"Either the mysterious person has unprecedented attainments in black magic, or it can only be ancient magic." Meadows said, with a troubled expression on her face.

Another moment of silence.

"I should have left."

After a while, Meadows broke the silence and said: "There are still many things to do next, especially regarding the attack on Andromeda."

"Perhaps I should start with the snake descendants and those who didn't go to watch the game. They are the most suspicious."

Professor McGonagall nodded weakly. She looked at Meadows' back and suddenly asked in a complicated tone: "Have you been ready to pay the price since joining the Order of the Phoenix?"

Meadows' figure paused, and she did not look back.

"Do not."

"Much earlier than that."
