Clarke

Chapter 18 Father’s Legacy

"No" Jane lay on Sol and cried bitterly.

Clark, Daisy, Eric and the four Asgardians stood aside and looked at Jane seriously.

Suddenly there was thunder in the sky, and lightning like silver snakes filled the sky.

In the SHIELD stronghold in the distance, Mjolnir suddenly began to shake. A rune on the hammer lit up and became brighter and brighter, and the hammer shook more and more violently.

A bolt of lightning fell from the sky and struck the hammer. The hammer flew into the air and flew away towards the town amid the surprised eyes of the agents.

Clark heard something flying towards Thor, pulled Jane aside, and asked the others to retreat.

Thor's hammer flew over within seconds, flying towards Thor without slowing down at all.In the eyes of others, Thor's hammer was wrapped in lightning and could not be seen clearly. They could only see a bolt of lightning falling from the sky and striking Thor's "corpse".

When Clark saw that the hammer was about to hit Thor's chest, Thor suddenly reached out and caught the handle of the hammer.

Thor closed his eyes and floated from the ground holding Mjolnir in his hand, with pieces of armor emerging from his body.Modular design

After putting on the armor on his body, Thor opened his eyes suddenly, and his eyes were so full of lightning that they almost overflowed.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh’’ running. A hole was torn open by lightning, and the sun shone on everyone through the gap.

"Wow, now there are two caped supermodels." Daisy licked her lips.

Sol floated to Jane and landed next to her. He hugged Jane and pressed their lips together.

"I have to go back, but I promise I'll be back soon"

Jane looked at him excitedly and nodded in agreement.

Thor came to the side of the four people in Asgard, raised his head and shouted: "Heimdall opens the Rainbow Bridge Heimdall"

Ten seconds later, just when Thor thought something happened to Asgard, the Rainbow Bridge suddenly rushed down and disappeared with five people.

Jane raised her head and looked at the sky with some disappointment.

Daisy hugged Jane and winked at Clark.

Clark smiled at her and said to Coulson next to him: "I'm going back first, call me if you need anything." After saying that, he flew away with a bang.

......

New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy.

Clark walked into the laboratory, took the data handed over by his assistant, and said to Bruce Banner who was lying on the bed while flipping through it.

"How are you feeling any physical discomfort recently?"

Banner sat on the edge of the bed and smiled awkwardly, "I feel like I don't have to lie in bed every day anymore. I'm in very good health."

Clark closed the data and patted Banner on the shoulder, "Come on, I'm here to pick you up from the hospital."

"Oh, great, I can't wait." Banner couldn't wait to take off the patches and put on his shirt and stood up.

Clark led Banner down the corridor, "Did they tell you where this is?"

Banner arranged his clothes and followed Clark as he walked, "Yes, this is SHIELD Academy. In fact, several of my classmates and colleagues have invited me to come here before, but I didn't agree."

"I'm sorry to tell you that you can't leave here yet," Clark said as he walked. "It would be irresponsible for you to return to the city before you can control your transformation. I hope you can understand."

"Yes, I understand. I originally planned to escape from New York and find a virgin forest or something to survive."

Clark stopped in front of a door, held the door in his hand and said to Banner: "It would be such a waste to let a genius like you hide in the primeval forest."

After speaking, Clark opened the door and walked in with Banner.

Behind the door is a huge "gym" with some fist prints and footprints on the white walls and floor. There are some "dumbbells" stacked in the corner of the room that don't look normal in weight.

Clark took off his white coat and put it in the closet, revealing the fitness clothes underneath and sat on a yoga mat. He said to Banner, who was still stunned, "Come on, doctor, let's learn about ancient Indian yoga."

Before Banner could react, "I thought you were going to take me to a laboratory or something." He said and sat on the yoga mat opposite Clark.

"We will go to the laboratory, but we need to ensure first that you will not suddenly transform and beat the staff next to you to death during the experiment." Clark said with a smile: "The breathing method in yoga can regulate your body's endocrine, allowing you to Stay calm and healthy, come and try to breathe in and out with me.”

......

A few days later, Banner opened his eyes with a wry smile and said to Clark, "Maybe I'm not cut out for this."

Clark also opened his eyes, "It's only been less than a week, and it's too early to see results."

Banner shook his head, "I know I'm a little anxious, but I want to go out so much. I want to find Betty."

"Well, you can't calm down in your current state. I will tell the bureau that you can call Betty or something, but you are probably not allowed to go out." Clark stood up helplessly.

"Thank you very much" Banner stood up excitedly.

After Clark sent Banner away, he first came to the laboratory to look at the potions he had prepared for Tony, and then went to Fury's office.

Clark took out the potion, "I think it can be used on Tony."

Fury walked out from behind the desk, picked up the potion, looked at it and put it back in the box.

"Let's go together, I have a gift for him too."

......

A donut shop.

"Tony, how's the view above?" Clark stood at the door of the store and looked up at Tony, who was wearing a suit and sitting in a giant donut on the roof of the store.

Tony swallowed the donut in his mouth and looked at Clark and Fury below.

The three of them walked to the store and sat down, and Tony spoke first.

"Would you like some donuts? I saw this store when I was passing by. I tasted it and it tasted good, so I bought the store." Tony pushed the donuts over.

Clark picked one up and looked at Tony's chest as he ate it. "The toxins in your body are gradually accumulating. You should stop using the armor temporarily."

Tony curled his lips and said: "No fisherman would throw away his fishing rod."

"There is no kind of fishing rod that can kill a fisherman." Fury stared at Tony seriously and tilted his head to indicate.

Natasha walked in from the door.

Tony looked at Natasha in surprise, "You're fired."

Natasha smiled charmingly, "It's not up to you to decide."

Fury raised his finger and pointed at Natasha and said to Tony: "Tony, this is Agent Romanoff."

Tony took off his sunglasses, "You spy on me."

Fury looked at Tony and said seriously: "You have been very busy recently. You appointed Pepper as CEO, gave away your property to people everywhere, and let your friends fly away in battle armor."

"I didn't give it to him, he took it away."

"Oh, this isn't basketball, it's not something you can steal casually." Fury didn't believe Tony's nonsense at all.

"Okay, what do you want me to do?" Tony said helplessly.

"What do we want from you? We want to save your life." Fury said and glanced at Natasha.

Natasha quickly stood up, took out a syringe, stuck it in Tony's neck and injected the medicine.

"Ah, are you going to take my kidney and sell it?" Tony touched the eye of the needle.

Clark continued to look at Tony's chest, finding that the marks were much less numerous, and swallowed the last donut.

"It tastes really good. That's my potion. It was successfully developed. Although it can't completely cure it, each injection can relieve almost half of the toxins."

Tony felt his body recovering, "Just give me two more boxes and I'll be fine."

Clark shook his head, "After six doses, there is basically no effect. It is equivalent to extending your life for two years."

Fury observed Tony carefully, "It seems it's not that easy to cure you."

Tony said calmly: "Believe me, I know my own situation. I have tried all possible elements as a substitute for palladium, and there is no way."

Fury smiled mysteriously, "Maybe not all of them."

......

Los Angeles, Cliff House.

Clark stood by the balcony, looking at the scenery in the distance, while Tony and Fury sat on the chairs on the balcony.

"What do you think of your father?" Fury asked Tony.

Tony tilted his head, "He was cold and calculating. He never said he loved me or liked me. His happiest day was the day he sent me to boarding school."

Fury drank the water from the glass, "That's not it, Tony."

Tony then lay down on the chair and said jokingly: "Wow, it seems like you know my father better than I do."

Fury stood up and buttoned his coat, "You are right, he is one of the founders of SHIELD."

"What?" Tony sat up straight, obviously unaware of this.

Two agents came in carrying a huge box and placed it next to Tony.

"What is this?" Tony pointed at the box.

"Your father left you something about the reactor, I believe it can help you." Fury said and looked at his watch, "I have an appointment later, and Clark will stay to make sure you stay here. "

Tony looked at Clark next to him, "That's not necessary and I'm your boss."

Clark shrugged, "As your friend, I feel it is necessary."

Fury patted Tony on the shoulder and said, "Come on, I'm leaving first." After that, he left with the agents.

Clark also left the living room, "I'm going downstairs to find Jarvis. You can do your own research. Father will always have new knowledge to teach us."

Tony sat on the chair and looked at the box, lost in memories.
