Clarke

Chapter 16 The Stranded God

Clark came to the basement door of Tony's villa, entered the password and entered the room.

Tony sat in front of the computer, biting the hem of his shirt, looking at the traces of poisoning on the screen, and nodded to say hello to Clark who came in.

Clark walked in and looked at Tony's body, "Is it already this serious?"

Tony put down his clothes and said to Clark: "It's not serious, I can solve it."

Clark stared at Tony, "You gave away your belongings to various institutions and asked Pepper to be the CEO. Have you already started arranging your funeral arrangements? You're giving up now?"

Tony shook his head, "I tried my best. I tried all the elements, all the combinations of elements."

"My experiment is almost finished and should be able to relieve your symptoms." Clark comforted him.

"I hope so." Tony shrugged and changed the subject, "Jarvis said you went to New Mexico. Is there anything going on there?"

"Go to the Strongman Competition" Clark joked, and then said seriously: "Do you believe there is a God in this world?"

"If there is a god, it must be an old black man who likes to wear white suits and is a pedophile." Tony curled his lips.

"Not that god, I met an old man in New Mexico who called himself Odin."

Tony said with an exaggerated expression, "Wow, I want to see what Valkyrie looks like."

Clark shook his head, "As long as you're fine, I'll go back first. If you need anything, please contact me."

"Okay, I'll call you if there's a party."

Back in the lab, Clark asked Joe, "How did the Kryptonians deal with palladium poisoning?"

Qiao asked: "How do people on earth solve carbon dioxide poisoning?"

Clark was stunned for a moment, "Hyperbaric oxygen treatment, injection of respiratory stimulants..."

"Compared to other fields, there are very few technologies in this area." Qiao smiled: "Because there are very few people poisoned by carbon dioxide, there are relatively few treatment methods. On Krypton, palladium is as common as carbon dioxide on Earth. People are barely affected and there are no treatments."

"Okay," Clark said regretfully, "Let's continue our experiment."

Clark raised the syringe on the table and looked at the medicine inside.

......

A few days later, New Mexico.

Jane Foster, Eric Selvig and their assistant Daisy Louise left behind the crazy strong man they hit with their car last night, walked to the door of the laboratory and suddenly saw their car.

"Hey that's my thing" Jane yelled at the driver when she saw her car being driven away.

The car drove away without stopping.

Jane looked back and saw a dozen people in black suits and sunglasses carrying her things in her laboratory.

"What are you doing? What is going on?" Jane stepped forward and asked.

"Miss Foster, I am Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D." Coulson greeted her while instructing the agents to move things.

Jane caught up to Coulson and asked, "Should I know what that means? You can't do that."

Eric, who was next to him, grabbed Jane and said, "Jane, this is much more serious than you think. Leave it alone and let's go."

Jane couldn't believe what Eric said, "How could you not care about this, it's all mine?"

Coulson reassured her, "We are investigating a security threat, and we have to requisition your experimental data and some equipment."

Jane rushed to her data and wanted to get it back. "Does expropriation mean to steal?"

Coulson pulled out a check, "This should cover your losses."

Jane took the check and argued with Coulson.

"These things cannot be bought with money. Most of the things here are made by myself."

"Sorry Miss Foster, we are good people." Coulson apologized very sincerely.

"We are too." Jane looked at Colson pleadingly. "I'm going to figure out something great soon, and everything I know about it is in this laboratory and this book." ." Jane said, picking up the notebook in her hand.

A passing agent took the notebook from Jane's hand and threw it into the car.

Jane said angrily "Hey" and stepped forward to get her notebook back.

Eric grabbed the furious Jane and said, "Jane, calm down, calm down."

The agent closed the car door, and Colson said to Jane, "Thank you for your cooperation." After that, they got in the car and left, leaving the empty laboratory and Jane.

Jane looked at the leaving convoy in despair, unable to believe that her more than ten years of hard work had been snatched away in front of her.

Jane, Eric and Daisy were sitting on the roof of the laboratory, as listless as three losers who failed in stock trading.

"Years of research are all gone." Jane's life has lost hope.

"They even took away my iPod." Daisy's life was hopeless.

"Where's the backup data?" Eric suddenly remembered.

"It was also taken away, and there was a backup of the backup." Jane's life was dark.

"I just downloaded thirty songs." Daisy's life was also dark.

Jane was speechless, "Can you please stop mentioning your iPod? Who are these people?"

Eric turned around and said in a mysterious tone: "I know a scientist who is a pioneer in the field of gamma radiation. Later, SHIELD appeared, and there was no news from him."

"They can't do this to us. I want to get my experimental data back," Jane said firmly.

"Don't be anxious yet," Eric advised her, "Let me ask a former colleague of mine first, and I'll send him an email."

Daisy looked at him and smirked, "They took your laptop too."

The three people sitting on the roof looked more like defeated dogs.

......

At night, Jane lay on the ground and looked at SHIELD's temporary stronghold through binoculars.

"It wasn't a meteorite at all, otherwise they would have towed away the debris instead of building facilities around it."

Sol took off his coat and handed it to Jane, "You're going to need this."

"What wait, why?" Jane didn't understand.

Thor looked at the bursts of lightning flashing in the sky and smiled mysteriously.

Thor said to Jane: "You stay here, and when I get Thor's hammer back, I will give you back the things they took away. How about it?"

Jane looked at him as if he were a fool, "Not very good. Look down there. Do you think you can break in, take things back, and then walk out in a big way?"

"No, I will fly back." Thor smiled confidently and walked towards the stronghold.

"Sir, there's something outside the west fence." An agent reported to Coulson.

Coulson looked at the monitor and saw that someone was "sneaking" and trying to climb over the fence.

"Don't sound the alarm yet." Colson stopped his men and shut down protective measures such as the fence and the power grid in the stronghold.

Thor "sneaks" into the stronghold and "sneaks" into the room close to the hammer under Coulson's gaze.

Thor looked at the four agents standing at the door and confirmed that there was no way around him. He stood up and said to the four people, "Come on."

Coulson said over the intercom: "No one else is moving."

Thor rushed forward, snatched the shotgun from an agent's hand and knocked the first man down with an elbow to his nose.

Taking advantage of the victory, Saul threw the shotgun into Agent No. 2's face to make him stagger. Before he could regain his balance, he punched the agent in the eye and knocked down the second man.

The third agent raised his gun and wanted to kill Saul directly. Saul kicked the agent away with a side kick and knocked down the third agent.

The fourth agent successfully fired, but Saul lowered his head to avoid the bullet. Saul bent over and carried the agent into the wall, knocking the fourth man down.

Thor looked at the four agents on the ground, smiled contemptuously, and opened the door to the room.

Thor walked to the center of the room and looked excitedly at the hammer stuck on the ground.

"Mjolnir"

On the elevated platform outside the room, Hawkeye drew his bow and aimed at Thor. "Do you want me to deal with him, sir?"

Coulson looked at Thor on the screen and ordered: "Wait."

Thor watched Hammer's smile become more and more confident, and his walking posture became arrogant.

Thor held the handle of the hammer, "Old friend"

Suddenly his smile froze. Thor looked at the hammer in disbelief. He couldn't pick up Mjolnir.

Unable to accept the fact, Thor continued to try to lift the hammer, switching from one hand to two hands, just like everyone else who had tried before.

Thor gave up after trying a dozen times. Thor looked up at the lightning in the sky, and the rain hit his face.

"Father, no, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah," Thor roared toward the sky.

For a long time, Sol, who didn't wait for a response, knelt on the ground weakly, lowering his head and his mind went blank.I don't know if it was rain or tears that streaked across my face.

Coulson watched all this, pursed his lips and ordered the agents to catch him.

......

"You compare my people, a group of the most well-trained professionals in the world, to supermarket security guards earning minimum wage. This is very hurtful." Coulson stood in front of Thor and looked at him.

Saul sat in a chair with handcuffs on his hands. His mind was filled with what happened in Asgard before, and he turned a deaf ear to Coulson's words.

"According to my experience, it takes someone with similar training to defeat them like you." Colson continued to interrogate, "Tell me where you were trained. Pakistan, Chechnya or Afghanistan cannot be Hawaii."

Thor is stuck in memories.

"You look more like a mercenary. Can you tell me who sent you here?"

Thor is stuck in memories.

Coulson sighed, "We're good at getting the information we want no matter what."

Colson's communicator suddenly rang. Colson picked it up and looked at it before walking out of the interrogation room.

As soon as the door closed, a man suddenly appeared in the room, and the monitor outside the room could only see Sol looking down in thought.

"Loki, why are you here?" Thor asked excitedly.

"I must come to see you." Loki looked very serious and heavy.

Thor realized something was wrong, "What happened? Jotunheim started a war? Let me explain to my father."

"My father is dead." Loki's voice was full of grief.

Sol frowned and asked softly in disbelief: "How could it happen?"

"The threat of your expulsion and renewed war is too much for him to bear." Loki looked at Thor who was in pain. "Don't blame yourself too much."

Thor fell into grief, tears streaming from his eyes.

"The burden of the throne now rests on my shoulders."

Sol opened his mouth and asked expectantly: "Can I go home?"

Loki shook his head, "The condition of the truce with Jotunheim is to banish you permanently."

"Okay, but nothing else..."

"My mother won't allow you to go back either." Loki interrupted Thor.

Saul was crushed by the last straw and fell completely into despair and regret.

"I'm here to say goodbye, brother." Loki looked at his brother, "I'm very sorry."

"No," Sol burst into tears, "I am the one who should be sorry."

Loki turned and disappeared into the room.

After a while, Coulson returned to the interrogation room and said to Thor: "Someone wants to see you."
