All things are three at Hogwarts
Chapter 71 Breaking through (modified)
When he saw the half-open door, he thought it might be too late to wait for Allen to arrive, but it turned out that Allen was already waiting here! This made several people breathe a sigh of relief, after all, Allen's strength was obvious to all.
Harry looked at each other and pushed the door open.
As the door creaked, a low barking sound immediately sounded in their ears.Although the big dog couldn't see them, all three of its noses were twitching and sniffing crazily toward them.
"What's that thing at its feet?" Hermione asked quietly.
"It looks like a harp," said Ron. "It must have been left by Snape."
"It's not Professor Snape." Allen said in his heart, but if he told what he saw at this time, it is conceivable that they would scream and inquire about it, which would really waste too much time. Anyway, they will know the truth soon.
Allen stretched out his wand and caused the harp at the feet of the three-headed dog Luwei to continue playing music. Allen took the lead towards the trap door. As he approached the three huge heads, he could feel the hot, smelly breath of the big dogs.
Allen opened the trap door and looked around. It was dark inside. Harry and the three of them tiptoed to Allen's side.
"There's no ladder here, how do you get down?" Ron looked at the unfathomable hole, feeling a little timid.
"It seems that we have no choice but to jump!" Harry said in a deep voice.
"Who wants to go in first? Really?" Ron said. "I don't know how deep this hole is."
While they were still discussing, Allen lifted up his robe, pressed the edge of the hole with one hand, and jumped in resolutely.
The cold, damp air whizzed past Allen's ears. He fell down, down, down, and then—thump. With a strange and dull crashing sound, Allen landed on something soft. He sat up and groped around. Although his eyes had not yet adapted to the dim light here, he knew that he was sitting on a devil's net.
"Soft landing, you can jump!" Allen shouted towards the hole, which now looked like a spot of light the size of a postage stamp.
Harry jumped down first, followed closely by Ron, who got down on all fours.
"What the hell is this?" Ron asked as soon as he opened his mouth.
"I don't know, it seems to be a kind of plant. It is probably laid here to reduce the impact of falling. Come on, Hermione!" Harry shouted towards the hole.
"Don't move, this is a devil's net." Alan had quietly moved away from the pile of devil's net and stood on the ground, warning Harry and Ron at the same time.
Harry and Ron originally wanted to imitate Allen and stand up, but before they knew it, their legs were entangled in long vines. Hearing Allen's warning, the two remained motionless.
"Hermione, it's a devil's trap. Be careful when you jump down." Hermione had just landed and jumped up suddenly when she heard the words and struggled to move towards a damp wall. Although her reaction was very quick, the moment she fell, the devil's net stretched out its snake-like tendrils and wrapped around her ankles. Thankfully, Hermione managed to break free before the vines could grab her.
Harry and Ron looked at Alan helplessly, while Hermione stood aside in shock, thinking hard about the habits of the devil's net. "Devil's Net, what did Professor Sprout say? It said it likes darkness and moisture..."
Before Hermione could finish speaking, her eyes met Alan's, they nodded to each other, pulled out their wands together, waved them, murmured words, and shot out a blue bellflower-like flame from the wand head. Within seconds, Harry and Ron felt the vines shrinking away from the light and warmth, loosening their grip on them. The plant twisted and twitched, automatically releasing the tendrils wrapped around them, and they finally broke free.
"Thankfully you're here, Alan!" Harry looked at Alan gratefully.
"Hermione thought of it too," Ron added.
"It's nothing. As long as you listen carefully in herbal medicine class, you will find out in time. Of course, Hermione is great. She also thought of the magic spell of blazing flames." Allen spread his hands, and his habit of being a teacher came back. Yes, I always like to encourage students to learn at the right time.
"Ahem, let's go this way." Allen noticed his gaffe and pointed to a stone corridor. This is the only way to go.
They heard, in addition to their own footsteps, the sound of water drops slowly dripping down the wall. In such a silent passage, it seemed particularly scary.
"Can you hear anything?" Ron asked quietly.
Everyone listened carefully. There seemed to be a gentle rustling and tinkling sound coming from the front.
"Could it be a ghost?"
"I didn't know it sounded like the flapping of wings."
"There's a light ahead—I see something moving."
When they came to the end of the corridor, they found a brightly lit room with a high vaulted ceiling.Countless little birds, as dazzling as jewels, flapped their wings and flew around the room. There was a heavy wooden door on the opposite side of the room.
"It's the key." Allen answered Ron's question softly and took the lead in walking towards the door.
"Keys?" Ron stared at the keys flying in the air inexplicably.
"The key with wings means..." Before Harry could finish, he was interrupted by an excited voice. It was Hermione, "Look Alan!"
Allen had walked to a corner of the room safely and picked up a broomstick. "I have taken away all the training content that Dumbledore designed for Harry. What would his expression be like if he knew it?" ." Thinking of this with a bit of mischief, Allen turned over and rode up.
"I understand, if you want to pass this door, you have to find the key to this door." Harry suddenly realized.
"But there are hundreds of keys on it. It would be too difficult to find the right door key among so many keys!" Hermione had no talent for flying. She looked at the winged ones flying in the sky. Key, a little worried.
Ron looked carefully at the door. "We're looking for a big antique key - probably silver and shaped like a doorknob."
Immediately afterwards, each of them grabbed a broom, kicked off their feet, rose into the air, and rushed into the dense array of keys. They grabbed and fished desperately, but the enchanted keys evaded so quickly that it was impossible to catch them.
