All things are three at Hogwarts
Chapter 197 Flourishes and Blotts Bookstore (Modified)
After hearing Alan's words, Harry suddenly felt that the Magical Protection Professor at Hogwarts might have something in common with Hagrid.
Harry took the book list out of his pocket and took a good look at it for the first time.
It clearly says: The Monster Book of Monsters, a textbook for Care of Magical Creatures.
Harry then understood why Hagrid said it would come in handy.
He felt relieved. He had been worried that Hagrid wanted his help to deal with some kind of scary new pet.
Allen stood in front of the iron cage and watched the books fight with interest.
The manager of Flourish and Blotts walked forward.
"From Hogwarts?" he asked abruptly, "Come to buy new textbooks?"
"Yeah." Allen nodded.
Harry nodded as well, he hadn't bought his textbook yet.
"I need it." Before Harry could finish his words, he was pushed aside by the manager.
"Get out of the way," the manager said impatiently.
He put on a pair of thick gloves, picked up a big cane covered with knots, and walked towards the cage door of the monsters' monster book.
"Two copies!" The manager's mood collapsed. "I've been bitten five times this morning."
"Wait," Harry said quickly, "I already have that kind of book."
"Really?" The manager immediately showed a relieved expression, "Thank God, it's Merlin's blessing."
The manager's exaggerated expression made Alan and Harry laugh.
"But I need this book." Allen said, holding back a smile, "Actually, all you need is"
Before Allen could finish speaking, a loud chirp pierced the air.
The two monster books grabbed the third one and tore it in half.
"Stop! Stop!" shouted the manager, thrusting his cane into the cage and beating the books to separate them.
"I will never buy these goods again, never again! What a mess! That time we bought two hundred invisibility books and spent a lot of money, but then we couldn't even find a shadow... I still I thought it couldn’t be worse than that…”
The manager opened the cage door and used a wooden stick to slap back the monster books of the monsters that were swarming out.
"Ah!" In the panic, a book actually jumped on the stick, quickly slid onto the manager's arm, and bit the manager's shoulder hard.
The manager's stick suddenly fell to the ground, and the monsters in the monster books were pushing me to get out of the cage.
Allen quickly took action, grabbed the two escaped books at lightning speed, threw them into the cage, and then closed the cage door with a "snap".
"This is not a monster book for monsters, this is a monster!"
The manager desperately slapped the book on his shoulder with his other hand.
But no matter how hard he tried, the book wouldn't let go.
Harry grabbed the spine of the book and tried to pull it off the manager's shoulders, but what he received in return was an even louder cry of pain from the manager.
When the manager turned pale in pain and Harry was at a loss and banging blindly, Allen took action.
Allen gently touched its spine, and in an instant, the monster book fell from the manager's shoulder into Allen's hands.
Its sharp teeth closed together and fell silent in Allen's hands.
He used a magic spell to heal the wound on his shoulder, and the manager looked shocked.
"What spell did you cast on him?" The manager looked at Allen eagerly.
"No need for magic spells, the method is very simple." Allen said as he demonstrated it to the manager.
"You just touch its spine gently and it quiets down."
The monster book in Alan's hand shook comfortably, and the manager and Harry took a step back in fright.
But the book still lay quietly in Allen's hands, showing no sign of an attack.
"It's so simple!" The manager looked confused.
With the selfless help of Alan and Harry, the monster books of the monsters in the cage were quickly placed quietly on the shelves.
The manager specially arranged for a clerk to touch the spine of the book from time to time.
"Thank you both so much!" The manager found all the textbooks that Alan and Harry needed, and determined not to charge them for the books.
"Your method saved not only me, but also all the little wizards who came to buy this book." The manager smiled with a smile on his face, feeling lucky that he would no longer be bitten by the book.
"Alan, even the bookstore manager doesn't know how to tame this book, but you know how to tame them. You're awesome."
Harry held his new textbook with a look of admiration on his face.
"I only understand a little bit." Allen smiled faintly and walked out quickly.
Because he accidentally glanced at another book displayed on the small table: Omen of Death: What to Do When You Know Doom is Coming.
He didn't want his friend to think about some omen of death all day long.
But Harry had already seen it!
Harry suddenly stopped and stared at the book.
"Oh, I wouldn't have read that book." The bookstore clerk standing nearby said lightly, "After reading it, you can see signs of death wherever you go. It's enough to scare people to death."
"Yes, scaring yourself is the scariest thing." Allen nodded in agreement, "After reading it, you may be hinted that everything you see becomes a sign of death."
When the clerk heard that his words were recognized, he grinned at Allen and smiled happily.
But Harry still stared at the cover of the book: it showed a black dog as big as a bear, with a pair of shining eyes.
Strange, it looked so familiar... He followed Allen absentmindedly towards the Leaky Cauldron, not paying attention to the road, and bumped into several people in succession.
Alan calmly grabbed Harry's arm and returned to the Leaky Cauldron safely.
"Harry, I think we could have lunch together," Alan suggested.
Harry nodded casually.
As soon as he entered the door, Alan noticed Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron.
Tom hurried over and looked at Alan without any trace.
After writing down Allen's needs, he bowed again and left in a hurry.
Allen looked at the other customers in the Leaky Cauldron:
A strange-looking little witch came from the country, carrying a basket of shopping in her hands.
The seemingly frail wizard debates the latest article in Transfiguration Today.
The unkempt wizard, the noisy dwarf...
Another, who looked like an old witch, wrapped in a thick woolen coat with a balaclava, ordered a plate of raw liver.
The sun was shining brightly on a summer afternoon. When Alan and Harry sat under an umbrella outside the bar and drank cold juice, Alan felt that this was the most comfortable thing in summer.
