Chapter 180 The Nile Monster (Modified)

Just when Alan and Ron were standing on the balcony admiring the scenery of the Nile River, they noticed something strange.

The weather outside was so hot that there was actually a group of people gathered around the river under the scorching sun!

"Let's go down and take a look." Allen suggested.

Ron, whose curiosity was aroused, immediately nodded in agreement.

They walked to the river, and it turned out that the group of people were gathered around a large sand pit.

An Egyptian wearing a white robe and a red hat was standing next to the sand pit and gesticulating.

He was giving orders in a high voice, his face was red and sweating, and he seemed to be angry about something.

Several barefoot young men stood beside him holding shovels and pickaxes.

"I've said it before, you can't come to the river alone at night! Why are you disobedient? You didn't dare to tell us and instead buried the body in the sand pit! Stupid!" The man in white robe pointed at the sand pit. said.

Alan and Ron looked at the sandpit, and Ron couldn't help but exclaimed. A rotting animal carcass was dug out, with only a small part buried underground.

"What is this?" Ron asked Alan quietly.

Allen endured the discomfort in his heart, looked at it a few times, and confirmed: "This is a donkey!"

One of the main means of transportation for the Egyptians was the donkey.

"Why did you die here?" Ron asked again.

"Listen to what they say." Of course Allen didn't know!

People came from the direction of the village in twos and threes. There were more people around the sandpit, standing in a huddle.

This seriously affected the excavation work, especially the children who were digging in and out.

In the crowd, the man in white robe raised his voice, "Back off! Back off!"

He seemed to have a lot of authority among the group, and everyone backed away convinced.

"Nasser, what happened?" someone in the crowd asked.

"It's a water monster. The Nile Monster has appeared again! This is the evidence." Nasser pointed to the corpse in the pit and shouted.

"Stupid Hassan encountered a water monster, but luckily he escaped, at the cost of losing his donkey!"

Nasser pointed to a dark-skinned, thin man holding a shovel.

"He actually concealed the truth about the reappearance of the water monster because he was afraid of being tabooed by the villagers! If Saleh hadn't discovered it, we don't know how many people would have been killed!" Nasser was extremely angry.

Hassan stood dejectedly.

"I emphasize again that everyone should try not to go to the lake at night! Pay attention to safety!" Nasser emphasized again.

The people who learned the truth retreated one after another, leaving only the first few people, who continued to deal with the rotting donkey in the sand pit.

"Is it really a water monster?" Ron was a little curious.

"I'm not sure, after all, it rotted too fast." Alan replied.

There is an aborigine in the village who is very business-minded.

Seeing so many people gathered together, they actually pushed a drinks cart out to sell.

Alan and Ron also came over, and it turned out to be watermelon juice, apple juice, and some beer.

Allen bought some of everything, and he and Ron took the beer back to the villa.

The drinks were a hit. Mr. Weasley also conjured up lots of ice cubes to keep the drinks ice cold.

Alan and Ron told everyone what had just happened by the lake.

"Coward, you are a wizard, what do you have to be afraid of?" George teased Ron.

"Of course I'm not afraid, I'm just reminding everyone to pay attention to safety." Ron defended himself.

The Weasley brothers ran away laughing.

"No matter what, we try not to go out at night." Mr. Weasley warned, staring at the twin brothers until they both nodded in agreement.

In the evening, Ron and Alan were talking about what they knew about the pyramids, the origins of the mummies and other issues.

In fact, it was Alan who was talking and Ron was listening, asking questions from time to time.

"Osiris' body was broken into fourteen pieces, but he can still be resurrected?" Ron asked in disbelief.

"What's the matter? Some people's bodies are completely gone, their souls are broken into seven or eight pieces, and they are also looking for opportunities to be resurrected." Allen was very calm, thinking of the mysterious man.

At this moment, Allen heard footsteps coming from the door.

In the bright moonlight, Allen saw the door handle turning as someone tried to open the door.

Alan jumped up and pointed his wand at the door.

The door handle turned. The door creaked open. Two tall, vague shapes stood in the doorway.

Ron was startled.

When the two shadows staggered into the room, Allen saw them clearly and couldn't help but hold his breath in shock. Even in the dim light he could tell what it was "It's a mummy!"

In the haze, the mummy staggered into the living room, arms stretched forward, as if trying to catch Ron.

Ron's mouth opened wide, looking like he wanted to scream, but no sound came out.

Allen took out his wand and pointed it at the mummy. Just as he was about to cast a spell, the mummy made a familiar sound.

"Don't attack, it's us!" It's George and Fred!

Ron angrily threw the pillow from the bed, hitting George's bandaged chest and bouncing back.

Fred and George burst into laughter, clearly amused.

"Didn't you say you're not a coward?" George's words stimulated Ron.

"I'm not a coward! It's just that the way you dress is terrible!" Ron was so angry that he didn't think it was funny at all!

"I told him he'd be scared!" Fred said to George.

"I know it's you. I recognized you as soon as you came in!" Ron defended himself.

"You should have seen the look on your face, you looked terrified!" George said loudly and started laughing again.

Ron muttered, looking unhappy.

"Okay, don't act like a little girl. Get up and help us tear these things off." Fred ordered Ron.

Allen pointed with his wand, and the straps on their bodies automatically fell off and rolled up into a ball.

"Ron, you said you are not a coward, do you dare to go for a walk by the river?" George rolled his eyes and came up with another idea.

"Just wait!" Ron stood up angrily.

Allen quickly followed behind. Something had indeed happened by the river, and Ron himself was in too much danger.

The Nile River is extremely quiet at night, but in Ron's opinion, this quietness hides many crises, and we must be prepared.

"Alan, look!" Ron suddenly pointed to the middle of the river. Looking in the direction Ron pointed: a horse appeared in the middle of the lake. Its mane was very wide and it was swimming freely in the lake.
