All things are three at Hogwarts

Chapter 172 Human-Faced Spider (Modified)

In the entire dark and depressing space, only a little fluorescent light emitted by Allen's wand could be seen.

Suddenly, Allen stopped, as if he was under a spell.

He saw a pair of eyes, reflecting light in the darkness, staring at him.

The unknown is the scariest thing.

Allen didn't know what the temperament of the owner of these eyes was, gentle or violent? Is it harmful to humans? Is the attack power strong?

He stretched his wand forward, trying to see clearly with the help of a fluorescent spell.

The eyes suddenly flashed to the side, and then a white thing ran past Allen.

In a panic, the white shadow hit a piece of granite, staggered a few steps to the side, and in the blink of an eye hid in the black shadow of another pile of ruins.

Allen paused for a few seconds before deciding to follow.

At first, Allen couldn't find it, but after groping for a while in the dark and unknown ruins of the stone house, Allen found a round well that was exactly the same as the wells he had found before.

However, the well was half-hidden by a fallen pillar.

Allen suddenly had an idea: Could that thing have descended along the wall of the well into the well?

Allen stuck out his head and looked down with the light of the fluorescent spell, and saw a white, fast-moving thing as big as a giant turtle.

As it climbed down, its big, bright eyes stared straight at Allen, making Allen shudder!

It's simply a spider with a human face!

It was climbing down along the well wall, and then Allen noticed that along the well wall, there were many black protruding stones forming the ladder.

This human-faced spider crawled extremely fast and quickly disappeared into the darkness beyond the reach of the wand.

"It seems that the ground beneath my feet must have been dug criss-crossing, and the tunnels in these circular wells are passages leading to the underground space." Allen secretly speculated.

In order to confirm his guess, Allen planned to go down to find out, but something grabbed his collar.

Allen turned his head instantly and saw the shrunken Tina and Xiu Xiu.

They were very anxious when they saw Allen wanting to go down.

Allen sensed that, relying on the natural instinct of animals, they realized that there was something harmful to them underground.

But Allen was already curious about the white human-faced spider. Regardless of Tina and Xiu Xiu's obstruction, he took them back to the pet space and jumped over the well railing.

It must be admitted that Allen went down the well in a hurry because he was worried that in such a dark, unfamiliar and depressing environment, he would lose the courage to continue exploring in the next second.

After climbing down for about two hundred meters, Allen felt very tired.

These raised stones were obviously prepared for the human-faced spider that was smaller than Allen and weighed less than him. They were small and narrow, and it was difficult for Allen to climb up.

He felt suffocated and tired.

If it was just like this, it would be fine, but unexpectedly, a stone step became loose, and Allen's weight suddenly rolled down into the deep well, almost causing Allen to fall to the bottom of the dark well.

For a while, Allen hung there holding a raised stone with one hand.

After a false alarm, Allen endured the pain in his arms and back and crawled down the well as quickly as possible.

He didn't know how long he had been climbing. Allen changed his mind several times and wanted to climb up, no longer paying attention to what was under the ground.

But this idea was abandoned after a few thoughts in his mind, because it might be more difficult and tiring to go up, and it might be to the end soon!

Finally, Allen's feet touched the ground, and a narrow hole appeared in the well wall about a foot to his right.

Allen breathed a long sigh of relief and got into the hole.

Inside the cave entrance is a narrow horizontal tunnel.

Allen held the wand and carefully walked through the tunnel and came to a huge underground cave.

It was a vaulted cavern that stretched far into the darkness beyond the reach of the wand.

A huge stone statue of a cockatrice cast a strange black shadow in the hazy light.

The human-faced spider hid in the shadows, avoiding the light and looming.

There was a smell of blood in the air. A little further away from the central open space, the bones of small birds and animals are scattered.

The strong smell of blood, the inexplicable stone statues, and the human-faced spider lurking in the shadows all make people feel uncomfortable.

Allen felt that he might have guessed wrong. How could Salazar Slytherin build a secret chamber in such a place?

He must have accidentally broken into the human-faced spider's lair.

I just don’t know if there is only one such spider, or there are a group of them!

As if thinking that Allen could not pose a threat to it, the human-faced spider actually crawled out of the shadows and crawled towards Allen quickly.

Allen dodged and avoided its hook-like feet.

At this moment, Allen saw clearly the pale, chinless face of this spider, which was neither human nor ghost, and its huge, eyelidless, light red and a little gray eyes!

Looks disgusting!

This human-faced spider seemed to want to turn Allen into its food. It opened its big mouth and spit out a long spider silk, trying to entangle Allen.

"Fire is raging!" The tongue of fire jumped rapidly towards the human-faced spider along the spider silk.

The human-faced spider quickly cut off its threads and hid back in the shadows.

The burning spider silk fell to the ground, and the fire gradually weakened, burning the spider silk and then extinguishing it.

Seemingly realizing that Allen was not easy to mess with, the human-faced spider planned to escape.

This emotional fluctuation was captured by Allen.

Allen pursued the victory, but the human-faced spider tried its best to avoid Allen's attack, and was eventually petrified on the spot.

Observing carefully in this cave, Allen was surprised to find traces of cockatrice venom.

The carcasses of those birds and beasts were most likely captured by cockatrices to raise human-faced spiders.

After carefully observing the life imprints left by the Cockatrice and the Human-Faced Spider in the cave, Allen guessed that in return, the Human-Faced Spider most likely served as the Cockatrice's mount, carrying the Cockatrice who was not very agile. Climb up the round well.

This proves that Allen's speculation may be correct, and this place can indeed lead to the secret room!

Allen walked deeper into the cave.

After walking for a while in the darkness, Allen came to a hall.

As if the magic power emitted by Allen's wand was detected, the surroundings lit up.

The magic lights on the wall lit up one by one, and the bright light dispelled the darkness.

In the direction facing Allen, a bronze door stood in front of Allen, with an ancient magic text engraved on it: Only wizards with pure blood can enter this door!
