Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey

Chapter 44 Yesterday’s Dream

The closer they got to Hogwarts Castle, the more clearly the three of them could see what the castle was covered with - ice.

"Oh my God!" Ben's exclamation of wonder came from Stephen's ears, "We-we really saw it right? Is that ice?"

"Yes, you read that right." Stephen felt that something bad was going on. First, a spell flew from nowhere, and then Hogwarts Castle was frozen. I'm afraid only Merlin knew what happened.

"Where are we now?" Lockhart's voice was as shaky now as Ben's.

"I don't know." Stephen shook his head, "Maybe we should ask, when are we now?"

"Let's move on."

The three of them have no better path to choose, right?

"Someone!" Just as they were walking quickly on a path leading to the school, Stephen suddenly growled.

The other two people stopped after him, observing the surroundings with caution.

"Here." Stephen pointed in the direction, "Let's go take a look."

"I think we'd better not—" Lockhart saw the expressions on Stephen and Ben's faces and closed his mouth knowingly, forced to agree to this.

They walked through the woods beside the trail and saw two people running.

There was a short man wearing a Hogwarts uniform. He seemed to be wearing glasses and had black hair, but he was too far away to see his face clearly.

The other one looked much taller than the one next to him. He seemed to be wearing a coarse shirt and had red hair.

The three of them immediately lurked in the woods, using the thick bushes to shield themselves.

Stephen clenched the wand in his hand, preparing to knock down the two people running over directly, and then ask them what happened.

"Wouldn't this be bad?" Ben saw Stephen's plan and asked quietly.

"Put him down first, otherwise he will definitely not be willing to explain the situation." Stephen observed the distance, and for some reason, he always felt that the figure of the black-haired man looked very similar to himself.

But he was too lazy to care so much. He raised his hand and cast a sleeping spell, but unlike usual, the sleeping spell flying out of his wand this time was a green beam of light.

"Strange." Stephen didn't think much, and then pointed at another person who was not hit, "fainted."

"Okay, let's go!" Seeing that he successfully attacked the two people who were running over, Stephen rushed out first.

Ben and Lockhart looked at each other and waited a few beats before rushing out of the bushes with Stephen.

"Strange, that person's body seems to be disappearing?" Stephen's discomfort became more and more intense, and he gradually recalled something that he had almost forgotten.

"I'll go, it can't be such a coincidence..." Stephen saw clearly the red-haired man he knocked down, and he exactly matched the person in his memory.

"Take him and run!" Stephen didn't have time to explain, so he called Lockhart and Ben, who had finally followed closely behind, and together they dragged the red-haired man into the bushes.

"Is there any hidden magic?"

"Yes, yes." Lockhart heard the nervous tone in Stephen's words and hurriedly used the invisibility spell on all four of them.

"Elf?" Ben covered his mouth to prevent himself from shouting. He looked at Stephen in disbelief, who seemed to have known about this for a long time.

The elves were talking in words that few of them could understand. After more than ten seconds, they seemed to have finished talking, and a team of three separated into two directions to search for something.

Fortunately, they did not pick the bush where a few people were hiding, but headed deeper into the dense forest.

After the elves left, Lockhart's spell had almost lost its effectiveness, and several figures appeared in the bushes again.

"Do you know this person?"

"Why are you so nervous all of a sudden?"

Questions from Ben and Lockhart followed one after another, and Stephen just shook his head slightly to indicate that the red-haired man was about to wake up.

"Ahem, bah, bah, bah. Where am I?" The red-haired man coughed a few times and quickly spit out the dirt in his mouth.

"Huh? Stephen, is this the so-called paradise?" The red-haired man looked at Stephen in front of him and the other two people beside him, somewhat confused about the situation.

"It looks the same as when I died. I thought heaven would be a beautiful place." The red-haired man looked around and found that it was the place where he "died".

"Ahem." Stephen coughed twice, interrupting the red-haired man's nagging, "Piette, you are still alive and well. It was these two people who saved us."

Although Ben and Lockhart were a little surprised by Stephen's statement, they did not speak and just nodded in agreement with Stephen's statement.

"Ah? I'm not dead?" Piette couldn't believe it. He frantically touched his upper body and even gave himself a hard squeeze.

"Hiss~ It seems that he is really not dead." Piette believed that he was not dead this time.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for your life-saving grace!" Piette looked at Ben and Lockhart, came back to his senses, reached out and held their hands one by one and thanked them frantically.

Lockhart showed off his excellent acting skills at this time. He held down Piett's hand to show that this was just a trivial matter.

"This Mr. Copper and I came to Hogwarts for a visit. On the way, we saw a group of elves knocking you two unconscious and preparing to tie you up, so we rescued you."

"Thank you so much. I am Piett? 6? 1 Weasley, and this is Stephen? 6? 1 Tony." Piett said gratefully.

"We just escaped from the Pig's Head Bar and were chased by those elves——"

"Okay, Piet. We still have something urgent to do." Stephen interrupted Piet who was still talking. "These two are also my friends. They are not just visiting here."

……

"Well, that's it, I understand." Piette became serious after hearing the general situation.

"I thought it was the elves who did this, but I didn't expect there to be such a secret in Hogwarts."

"So we still need your help." Stephen remembered that there was still a Penny in this era, "By the way, we also need to find out Penny's situation."

"Yeah, I know." Piette stared at Stephen's face, and after pondering for a while, "By the way, where is my wall clock?"

"Oh, here it is." Fortunately, most of Stephen's things were kept in the bag he carried with him, otherwise they would inevitably get worn.

He took out the wall clock and showed it to Piet.

"That's good." Piette relaxed, and this time he believed that the person in front of him was the real Stephen.

"Come with me, I know there is a trail that has just been taken over by wizards. From there it should be easy to get to Hogwarts." Piett stood up, clapped his hands, and straightened his clothes.
