Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey

Chapter 11 Merula’s Little Trick

The evening passed quickly, and the first class in the morning was History of Magic.

As Harry Potter commented: History of Magic is widely regarded as the most boring course designed in the wizarding world. Their ghost teacher, Mr. Binns, spoke in a breathy drawl that would almost certainly put anyone to sleep in ten minutes; if the weather was hot, five minutes would be enough.

Professor Binns speaks very slowly and the lecture content is extremely boring. Even Luo Wen had no intention of listening to the lectures seriously. He just loved reading. He didn't love listening to history lectures or told them in an extremely boring way.

Other students in the classroom were sleeping on the desks in different positions, and some students had even begun to snore. Professor Binns, on the other hand, turned a blind eye to this and continued to read the textbook at a speed that seemed unchanged for a thousand years.

Rowan was flipping through the book he had brought from the common room, while Stephen was studying Jacob's notebook.

He found some interesting little spells in there, such as the Gibberish Charm. Its effect is just like the name, it makes people start to say random things involuntarily, but the effect is very limited. Stephen quietly tried it on Rowan, but nothing happened.

The History of Magic ended in this extremely boring atmosphere, and the eaglets began to rush to the classroom for the next class to prepare for the Charms class. This class they were with Gryffindor.

"By the way, Stephen, are you going to the key storage room after the Charms class?" Rowan thought of yesterday's letter, "If it was written by Merula, she will definitely appear there."

"Why not? Why don't you go and see how you know what tricks she is playing." Stephen thought for a while and decided to go and have a look. Maybe he could get information about the cursed treasure house from Merula.

In the first Charms class, Professor Flitwick taught "Lumos", a very basic spell.

Both Stephen and Rowan were already very proficient. They waved their wands and said "fluorescent flash". As they spoke, the tops of their wands glowed brightly.

"Mr. Tony and Mr. Kenner did a great job." Flitwick nodded with satisfaction, "Two points for Ravenclaw."

Others were not so fast, except for Ben, who was almost with Stephen and the others, and the light at the top of the wand was also very dazzling.

"Very well, Mr. Copper, one point for Gryffindor."

The class ended in the blink of an eye. Many people successfully made their wands shine. Flitvili's homework was to describe the movements and experiences of casting spells.

Stephen and Rowan packed up their textbooks, and Stephen walked up to the podium and whispered something to Professor Flitwick.

The two then prepared to head to the key storage room, with Ben following behind them.

Stephen noticed Ben behind him: "Ben, what can you do?"

"Can I come with you? I feel like they don't like me very much." Ben asked Stephen and Rowan for their opinions in a low voice.

"Of course, but we have to go to the key storage room first." Stephen nodded. He felt that Ben might be an anomaly in Gryffindor, easily squeezed out by the little lions, and they were always so big-hearted that almost no one else Will notice this.

The three of them came to the key storage room

"The door is locked, do we still want to go in?" Rowan looked at the lock on the door.

"Maybe we should wait for Professor Snape to come." Stephen looked around, but there seemed to be no Merula.

After waiting for a while, Ben expressed his opinion: "Why don't we go to the restaurant to eat first? I think it's dangerous to stay here."

"Hmph, you are indeed a coward. Stand back three feet from the enemy." A red light hit Ben, who stumbled and fell to the ground.

"Ben, are you okay?" Rowan hurriedly helped him up and checked his condition.

"Merula, what you did went too far." Stephen turned around and saw that the person coming was Merula, and felt a little angry at her behavior just now, "Expelliarmus"

The red light hit Merula, and her wand spun upwards in a circle before falling at her feet. It was obvious that Stephen's spell was not very powerful.

"Stephen, look what I saw. You used a spell on your classmates in the corridor. You violated two school rules." It was Snape's voice. "I think I can deduct twenty points from Ravenclaw for this behavior. We can also ask you to be detained at Filch’s place.”

"Then I think according to the same rules, I can also deduct twenty points from Miss Snyder, and because she attacked Stephen and the others first, I should deduct another five points from her. I don't think Professor Snape has any influence on my decision. What's the objection?" Flitwick lifted his Disillusionment Curse and revealed his entire figure.

Flitwick added, "And she should report to Mr. Filch, too."

"Oh, of course, Professor Flitwick, that's quite fair, isn't it?" Snape glared at Merula fiercely, then looked at Stephen, "Mr. Tony, I suggest you enjoy your confinement life." After that, Snape left.

"Stephen, you did the right thing. There is nothing wrong with helping your friends. I can also see that you held back." Flitwick praised Stephen, "Remember to report to Mr. Filch. Breaking the school rules is breaking the school rules. He should be punished accordingly."

"Of course, Professor, I will go." Stephen glanced at Merula, "And I will go with Miss Snyder."

Flitwick nodded and left the aisle, he had a lot to do.

"Ms. Snyder, your little trick is indeed very good." I don't know if Stephen was sarcastic about her, "but your use of such a spell on Ben violated my bottom line."

"You despicable villain." Merula's gentle curse words were really ineffective, at least in Stephen's eyes. "Don't you want to know the secret of the cursed treasure house? It's inside."

"I'll check, but not today."

"I'm afraid you'll be like your stupid brother, forgetting the small gains and sacrificing your own life for the big things."

"His big thing is not my big thing. No matter how important the cursed treasure house is, what does it have to do with me?" Stephen really doesn't understand why some people always think that he is going to find some cursed treasure house, just because Jacob is looking for it.

"Then you don't want to find your brother" Merula played her last trump card, but unfortunately she miscalculated again.

"When you find a Death Eater, you just have to kill him, catch him, or be killed by him. So, why should I look for him?" Stephen smiled. Jacob was not important to him at all. "Rowan, Ben, let's go."

"If you don't go in, I will." Merula didn't expect Stephen to have this attitude. "I will find the cursed treasure house and prove that I am the most outstanding student at Hogwarts. As for you, Stephen, you are just like That Ben is also a coward."

"Alaho Cave Open" the lock opened in response, Merula pushed the door open, walked in, and closed the door heavily.

Stephen shrugged. Cowards will be cowards. He walked over to Ben, and together with Rowan he supported Ben and prepared to leave the corridor to the school hospital so that Madam Pomfrey could check him out.

But just as they were about to leave, Merula screamed in the key storage room, causing them to stop again.
