Chapter 0243 The Last Guardian of Tirisfal
As Medivh's power grew, he began to search for answers, even colluding with the legions of the lower planes.
He saw the humans of Azeroth as an obstacle to his attainment of supreme power, and began to look for a way to destroy them.
Medivh found the answer on Draenor.
Medivh reached an agreement with the warlock Gul'dan in the secret room of the Tower of Karazhan. Medivh promised to tell Gul'dan the location of the Tomb of Sargeras. In return, Gul'dan would lead the tribe to Azeroth to eliminate mankind.
Then, with the assistance of Gul'dan's Shadow Council on the other side, Medivh successfully opened the Dark Portal connecting Azeroth and Draenor.
Aegwynn later appeared in front of Medivh and tried to make his son understand that he was on the wrong path, but Medivh showed no repentance.
After a fierce battle, the victorious Medivh banished his mother.
However, this battle also greatly consumed his strength, so he planned to draw energy from the earth.
Aegwynn survived the battle with Medivh and teleported herself to Kalimdor, where she lived a secluded life.
Many years later, Aegwynn used her remaining magic power to resurrect Medivh, who was killed by Lothar and Khadgar. The reborn guardian set up a magic barrier around her mother's residence so that she could spend her remaining years in peace.
Aegwynn wasn't the only one to confront the Lost Guardian.
The blue dragon Arcanagos, the guardian of magic, once visited Karazhan and tried to get Medivh back from his lost ways.
But in the end, the blue dragon had to resort to force against the latter, but because of his lack of strength, Medivh cast a spell on him and burned him to death within his body.
Medivh was once again exhausted and began to look for ways to regain his strength.
Once, Medivh, controlled by Sargeras, met several traveling merchants who wanted to sell him counterfeit artifacts. Sargeras was so angry that he was teased and cast a curse on the traveling merchants, making them what everyone is today. Known as the Black Knight of Deadwind Pass, he collects artifacts for Sargeras.
Shortly after this incident, Dalaran appointed an apprentice to Medivh.
This young man is Khadgar, and his name means "trust" in Dwarven language.
"Young Trust" has been studying under Medivh, and he lives in Karazhan with several others: mentor Medivh, servant Moros, and chef Cook who is responsible for cooking.
We all know the story that followed. During this period, the war between the orcs and humans gradually began as the former continued to emerge from the Black Swamp.
Medivh was not surprised by this, and even claimed that everything was as he expected.
Soon after, the half-orc Garona, the Horde envoy sent by Gul'dan, arrived in Karazhan.
However, what the world didn't know was that Medivh and Garona actually had a romantic relationship, and their mixed-blood son Med'an was born.
Khadgar was the first to discover that Medivh was the culprit who introduced the orcs to Azeroth.
He and Garona informed King Llane and Lothar of Anduin, who was convinced of Medivh's corruption.
As one of Medivh's closest friends, Lothar led a human force, including Khadgar and Garona, to deal with the crazy guardian.
During the battle with Medivh, Khadgar, who had been robbed of his youth by Medivh's spell, stabbed Lothar's sword into the guardian's chest and into his heart.
At this moment, the demon inside Medivh awakened, and then Lothar struck a fatal blow to decapitate the guardian, and at the same time knocked Sargeras back into the void.
Medivh's pure and kind soul wandered in the star realm for many years, and his body was buried in Morgan's Tomb in Deadwind Pass.
At the peak of Medivh's power, he fought tenaciously against Sargeras in the tower of Karazhan.
So powerful was the Guardian's power that his death placed a curse on the mighty Karazhan, transforming the surrounding area into what is now Deadwind Pass.
The subsequent Karazhan was a cursed and dangerous area, and anyone who dared to break into it would die.
Outside Karazhan, Khadgar saw the future Medivh through the fragments of time.
Medivh's freed soul wandered the Astral Plane for years, and a few years passed before his mother, Aegwynn, resurrected her son with the last of her magic to preserve her youth.
Twenty years later, a mysterious prophet who took the form of a blood raven appeared in the continent of Lordaeron.
Many years after the Second War, a mysterious prophet who took the form of the Blood Raven appeared in front of various important figures in Azeroth.
He gave people warnings of the impending end.
Thrall, the son of Durotan, the young warchief of the tribe, foresaw in his dream the sight of countless hellfires falling from the sky when the orcs and humans were at war.
A strange prophet told him that this was a prophecy of the future. If he wanted to save his people, he must go to the ancient continent of Kalimdor far to the west of the ocean.
Thrall woke up from his dream, but he realized that Medivh's words were true and credible, so he decided to lead the orcs out to sea to the distant Kalimdor.
The Horde has set off for Kalimdor, but convincing the humans will be much more difficult.
King Terenas of Lordaeron and Archmage Antonidas of Dalaran both viewed the Prophet as a maniac who spoke nonsense.
A sudden and terrible plague quickly swept through the northern towns of Lordaeron.
Prince Arthas of Lordaeron even massacred the city to curb the spread of the plague: Stratholme was left in a state of disarray and bones. The mysterious prophet appears again.
However, Prince Alsace could not listen to his persuasion at this time. The young and energetic prince was blinded by the flame of revenge.
Only Daelin Proudmoore's young daughter, Jaina of Antonidas, thought the prophet might be right.
After the destruction of Stratholme, Medivh appeared before her again. This time she listened to the prophet's warning and prepared to leave for the western continent.
When the undead Scourge began to invade, Jaina had already led a group of men to leave.
Thrall arrives in Kalimdor to discover the fate of the orcs, and his new friend, Cairne Bloodhoof, chieftain of the Bloodhoof clan, advises him to visit the Oracle.
Thrall fought his way through the human expedition to find the Oracle, but in the end he only saw Jaina and some humans.
Just as the two sides were preparing to go to war, the prophet appeared.
He told the two that if they wanted to defeat the Burning Legion and avoid their fate of corruption, they must put aside their prejudices and fight together.
The two reluctantly agreed to the request.
Eventually, the Prophet reveals his identity as the various factions gather.
He appeared in the dreams of Thrall, the night elf Malfurion Stormrage, and Jaina, telling them to form an alliance to fight against the Burning Legion.
He said that he was Medivh, the last guardian of Tirisfal, and it was he who introduced the orcs and the Burning Legion to Azeroth.
