Hogwarts White Knight

Chapter 2 This development is too medieval

"Not at home or in the hospital?"

When Gawain woke up again, he found himself lying in a strange room, separated by brown curtains on both sides. He could smell an incense that made him feel refreshed.

"It seems to be the infirmary of a certain school?"

Gawain scratched his head and made this somewhat absurd judgment, but he really couldn't think of a more fitting place.

Under him was a somewhat shabby nursing bed, with the back slightly raised. The snow-white sheets and mattresses are very clean, with the fragrance of sunshine and a faint smell of laundry detergent.

Someone seemed to have noticed his movements, and the curtain beside Gawain was gently opened.

"Oh? Child, are you awake?"

The speaker was a short and fat woman with a white scarf wrapped around her head and holding a tray in her hand.

There was a plate on the tray with two sandwiches and a glass of pumpkin juice. Next to the pumpkin juice was a short brown wooden cup.

"Eat something quickly and drink this potion."

The woman put the tray on the cabinet next to the bed, then unreasonably pushed the dinner plate into Gawain's hand, urging him.

But Gawain was staring at the cup.

"For God's sake, are you sure this is a potion? Can you drink it? No, I should say, won't it kill anyone?"

Don't dare to ask anything, don't dare to say anything.

He could have sworn that he saw the brown liquid in the cup boiling, with frightening bubbles forming on the surface.

It's like the witch's potion in a fairy tale.

"Eat quickly, Professor Dumbledore is still waiting for you. For Merlin's sake, I don't know how a kid like you could get yourself into this state.

The muscles all over your body are torn, your heartbeat is racing, and your fever is enough to burn the troll's brain into walnuts! If it hadn't been delivered in time, you might have died! "

Seeing that Gawain was still hesitating, the woman urged impatiently. Under her pressure, Gawain picked up the sandwich and took a bite.

The crisp lettuce is paired with the fried and somewhat hard bacon, and the fragrance of the finely chopped scrambled eggs is released in the mouth.

"Excuse me, what is your name? And where is this place?"

While chewing, Gawain asked the woman a question. He always remembered what Elsa taught him. Before asking a girl a question, it would be polite to at least know her name.

"Well... you can call me Madam Pomfrey, of course this is Hogwarts! Didn't Professor McGonagall tell you?"

The woman smiled, her expression softening a bit.

"Hogwarts? Professor McGonagall? Can you tell me in more detail, Madam Pomfrey?"

Gawain could only look back at her with confusion.

He could swear that he had never heard of this name, let alone who Professor McGonagall was.

But when hearing about Hogwarts...

His heart beat faster.

Undoubtedly, this is a very important name.

"Merlin's garter, it seems you really don't know anything about it. Eat it quickly, Professor Dumbledore will tell you, you don't want him to wait too long."

Madam Pomfrey showed a hint of embarrassment, as if she was struggling with whether she should explain it to Gawain first.

"Ok."

Gawain nodded and chewed faster.

"It seems that we have to find Professor Dumbledore to get the answer, but he should be a respected person."

Thinking to himself, Gawain was not ready to ask any more questions. He could see the lady's hesitation and didn't want to cause her any additional trouble.

Time passed quickly, and after finishing the food on the tray, Gawain was led by Madam Pomfrey to the principal's office on the eighth floor.

By the way, the potion tasted just as unpleasant as he imagined.

It was bitter and sticky, like red wine that had been left open for half a year in a dank basement.

As for why he has such a specific association?

Gawain said he didn't want to remember it.

"Is this in a castle? What era is this, the Middle Ages? Seriously?"

Walking quickly in the passage, Gawain only felt that his problems were getting more and more. It is a very large castle with a complex system of wings and towers.

Even during the day, the torches on both sides of the passage were still burning, shining brightly on the decorative knight armor.

"That portrait just smiled at me! And..."

Gawain secretly suppressed his guess in his heart, not wanting to shout out loudly, "It will only make others feel stupid."

But he was convinced that he had just seen a gray-white figure pass through the wall and said hello to him.

After walking down a long corridor, Madam Pomfrey brought him to a wooden door. There are two strange-looking stone lions in front of the door, blocking the door tightly.

"Zizi honey candy."

While Gawain was stunned, Madam Pomfrey took a few steps forward and said to the stone statue. With a soft "rumbling" sound, the pair of stone lions jumped back a small step, and one of them showed a strange smile to Pomfrey.

"Good day, Madam Pomfrey."

The lion's voice sounded muffled.

Madam Pomfrey smiled at the lion, walked to the door, and knocked three times, "Professor Dumbledore, I brought the child over."

"Please come in."

A somewhat old but very energetic man's voice came from the door.

"Okay, go in, Professor Dumbledore is waiting for you inside." Madam Pomfrey patted Gawain on the shoulder and pushed him to the door.

"Okay, thank you for your help, Madam Pomfrey. My name is Gawain, Gawain White."

Gawain nodded and said to Madam Pomfrey, then saw her smiling happily and stepped aside, and then pressed his hand on the copper-plated door handle.

Taking two deep breaths, he pressed the handle to the end.

"I hope there won't be an old man behind the door with a beard hanging down to his waist, wearing a snow-white mage robe, and holding a wooden staff. He told me that it is actually 1258, and I am the chosen hero who needs to save the world."

Gawain thought in his mind and pushed the door all the way.

Behind the door is an arched office, and through a somewhat narrow aisle, you can see a large desk. The table is covered with all kinds of strange silverware, which jingles from time to time and spits out pale white mist.

Sitting behind the desk was an old man with a beard that reached his waist, wearing a snow-white mage robe, and holding a wooden staff.

Noticing Gawain's eyes, the old man turned to Gawain and showed a kind smile. His eyes were deep and intelligent, and his dark blue pupils were like the ocean, impenetrable.

"A person who thinks too much will lose the joy of being a human being. Welcome to Hogwarts, it is the year 1258, my dear Mr. Gawain White.

You have been chosen as the hero to save this world. By the way, I'm Albus Dumbledore. "

The old man waved his hand to him and said with a smile. His English sounded a little strange, like...

It's really like being in the Middle Ages.
