Save the world from Hogwarts

Chapter 42 The girls cheered reservedly and enthusiastically

Boys, regardless of age, seem to be easily fascinated by these cold-looking firearms.

"Can I touch you?" Draco's eyes lit up.

Ron couldn't wait to reach out and touch it, but Hermione slapped the back of his hand hard.

"Hermione" Ron touched the red hand and looked at Hermione aggrievedly.

"Don't move," Hermione snapped. "Do you know how dangerous it is?"

"It's just this little thing. It's just cool no matter how you look at it." As he said that, Ron turned his attention to the small pistol on the table.

"It's okay to touch it," Lin Zhen said with a smile, "but don't mess with the little mechanisms on it, otherwise, Hermione and I may die at your hands."

"Merlin." Draco picked it up carefully and gently stroked the cold lines on the gun. "It looks like a little boy's toy. I can't believe it can be so lethal, Harry. Is it more powerful than Avada Kedavra?”

"I'm not sure which one is stronger, it or Avada," Lin Zhen smiled slightly, "but they are both deadly."

Draco's gray-blue eyes were astonishingly bright. He put down the pistol with some reluctance, and Ron picked it up cautiously.Hermione was so frightened that she hid in a corner, wishing she could embed herself into the wall of the train.

"Be careful," Hermione said fearfully, "don't point the gun at me."

Ron held the gun as far away from Hermione as possible and studied it carefully.

"How to use this?" Ron asked curiously, putting his eyes to the dark muzzle of the gun to observe.

"Oh" Hermione covered her eyes, "If this gun goes off, Ron, your blood will have been sprayed all over the room. And there will be a big hole in your head."

"Ugh" Ron retched as he imagined that scene, and quickly threw the pistol on the table.Lin Zhen put it into her robe.

"That's terrible," Ron said with a grimace, "Harry, why are you carrying it?"

Draco rolled his eyes at Ron: "Don't you even have to ask? We were in solitary confinement last year and we were in danger. Harry must be using this to protect himself."

"To be honest," Ron said wistfully, "I always thought that Hogwarts was the safest place in the wizarding world."

"Of course it's safe," Hermione recovered. "Hogwarts' defenses prevent anyone with malicious intentions from attacking from the outside."

"Unless they are let in," Draco said, following up Hermione's words.

Ron lost his energy all of a sudden. He lay on the table with a sluggish expression: "Nothing will happen this semester, right?"

Draco curled his lips in disgust: "Why not? That disgusting peacock became our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. With him here, will the school be fine?"

"Gilderoy Lockhart is pretty cool," Hermione said. "At least his stories are really attractive."

Ron sighed.

The train stopped in the evening. This year, Lin Zhen and the others entered the second grade and no longer needed to go to Hagrid.

"Let's find a carriage," Ron said cheerfully.

Hermione looked around the carriage in front of her: "I saw in a piece of Hogwarts school history that carriages were pulled by a creature called the Thestral. But I couldn't see it."

"I can't see it either," Draco said, getting into the carriage. "It feels like the carriage is running on its own."

Ron nodded vigorously.

Lin Zhen looked at the three skinny black horses in front of the carriage and smiled pitifully.

They arrived at the castle earlier than last year and even had time to return to their dormitory to freshen up.When Lin Zhen came to the hall again, the long table of the four colleges was already full of people.

The students were chatting happily with their friends, and the Ravenclaw eaglets were enthusiastically discussing the books they had read during the holidays. The name "nerd" was probably not unfounded.

Lin Zhen sat down in her usual seat. The seat next to him was empty.

"We have to save some space for the freshmen, don't we?" Ms. Gray, the ghost of Ravenclaw, floated from behind Lin Zhen and "sat" uprightly in the empty seat next to Lin Zhen.

"Long time no see, Ms. Gray." Lin Zhen greeted with a smile, "How was your summer vacation?"

Ms. Gray turned around with a sly smile: "I found something interesting."

When the sorting was over, there was a blond girl next to Lin Zhen who looked erratic.

Ron's little sister Ginny was sorted into Gryffindor without any surprise. Lin Zhen glanced at the Gryffindor table. Fred and George were patting Ginny's shoulders excitedly. Ginny was sitting Next to Hermione, smiling shyly.

Lin Zhen looked away and caught a glimpse of Draco looking at him from the corner of his eye. He turned his head and smiled at Draco before looking towards the teacher's desk.

The seat on the teacher's bench changed little, and Snape still sat there with a straight face. But sitting next to him in the seat that originally belonged to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was Gilderoy Lockhart, who was smiling heartily and waving to all the girls who were looking at him.

Dumbledore made a speech and welcomed Gilderoy Lockhart on behalf of the school. The girls welcomed him with their reserved but enthusiastic cheers. As for the boys, the sparse applause can show their attitude.

There is not much difference between the new semester and the first academic year.Lin Zhen originally thought that Gilderoy Lockhart's class was worth looking forward to. Who would have thought that he would actually ask students to fill in a questionnaire about his preferences in class.

Dumbledore probably didn't ask the professors to prepare lessons, so Gilderoy Lockhart dared to do this. Lin Zhen even had some doubts that Dumbledore hired this wizard in name only to teach them something.

Perhaps, this Gilderoy Lockhart is not as idiotic as he appears.

Lin Zhen was holding her textbook and preparing to return to the dormitory.

"Click"

There was a shutter sound, and Lin Zhen followed the sound and saw a gray-haired child with freckles on his face holding a Muggle camera to take pictures of him.

Lin Zhen smiled, and the thin child clicked the shutter several times excitedly.

"Hello." Lin Zhen felt that if he didn't say anything, the child might keep filming.

"Hello," the child put down the camera sheepishly and stammered, "Ha, Harry. My name is Colin Creevey."

Colin Creevey was a little timid. He took a small step forward and stared at Lin Zhen like a man possessed. The enthusiasm in his eyes was hard to ignore: "I know everything about you, Harry. Almost. Everyone is telling me how you escaped the murderous hands of the mysterious man, and I still know that you still have a lightning-shaped scar on your forehead."

He was trembling slightly with excitement, and his eyes searched Lin Zhen's hair: "My roommate told me that as long as I can use the developing potion correctly, the people in the photos will move."

Lin Zhen looked at Colin Creevey patiently. His gaze made Colin Creevey blush.

"I'm sorry, I just took a picture without your permission." Colin Creevey nervously grabbed the camera with both hands, "Can I take a picture with you?"
