Corruption, this is the reason for the extermination of Buddhism in the Eastern Land, and in the more than ten years of Taiping in the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism has accumulated a large amount of wealth, which is eye-catching. Resentment arises, so the intention of destroying the Buddha arises."

Tathagata said leisurely: "In the last Yuanhui, before the Buddha's Nirvana, the last disciple Subhatuo became a monk in his later years. When the Buddha died, he declared to all living beings that the Buddha made many precepts during his lifetime and felt troubled. After the Buddha died, he would be freed. At that time, Kassapa passed by and heard it. He deeply felt that Buddhism was misunderstood by others, and thought it necessary to call a meeting to gather laws and disciplines, so he came up with the Mahāparinirvana Sutra.

The sutra says: Bhikkhus should not raise slaves, maidservants, cattle and sheep that are illegal. If a bhikkhu raises such unclean things, a certain king will rule them by law and drive them back to vulgarity. I wonder how many of my Buddhist disciples still remember this sutra? "

Guanyin frowned slightly, she felt that there was something in the Tathagata's words, and then exchanged glances with the other bodhisattvas, all of them were slightly terrified.

Sure enough, the Tathagata said again: "The entanglement of karma, my Buddhism has such a calamity, but the world's affairs ebb and flow, there is no definite number. After this calamity, it may usher in Nirvana and rebirth. Until the calamity comes, all disciples should reflect on their mistakes. , cultivate oneself, "

"Follow the decree of the Buddha!"

The bodhisattvas and arhats got up and retreated one after another, leaving the Tathagata Buddha and the five Buddhas to look at each other, and recited in unison: "May I use this merit to adorn the pure land of the Buddha, to repay the fourfold kindness, and to help the three-way suffering. Fully arouse the bodhicitta, and be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, and repay this whole body.”

After leaving the Lingshan Mountain, several Bodhisattvas gathered together and said in unison, "Namo Amitabha, the sky is about to change!"

Great Strength Bodhisattva also said: "When the golden cicada's merits and virtues are added to the body, it is the day when the sky changes!"

The current structure of Buddhism is beneficial to Bodhisattvas. Because Buddha has attained perfection, he does not pretend to seek outside, but seeks from within. Bodhisattvas have not yet attained perfection, and their wishes have not been fulfilled. They need to stay in the world. Therefore, the results of Buddhism are almost Bodhisattvas come to do it, and the human world also mainly worships Bodhisattvas. Bodhisattvas eat incense oil money and get a lot of benefits, so that the Buddha hardly receives incense.

Although a considerable part of the sesame oil money earned by the Bodhisattva is handed over to the Buddhist sect, the principles in the Buddhist sect and the human world are the same. Whoever is in charge of the family and who earns money has the right to speak.

Bodhisattvas earn a lot of money and make great contributions to Buddhism, so that many Buddhas who are not worshiped by the world are gradually thrown away in status, and Buddhism is almost headed by Bodhisattvas.

Obviously, the Tathagata Buddha saw this dangerous change, but it is impossible for the Buddhist sect to show unity to the outside world, and it is impossible to seize power by force. Therefore, Li Zhi's extermination of Buddha is an opportunity brought to his door. If he uses it well, he can suppress the power of the Bodhisattvas , bringing Buddhism back under the control of the Buddha.

Therefore, the Buddha brought out the Mahāparinirvana Sutra from the last Yuanhui, quoted the scriptures, and held the righteousness in his hands. The Bodhisattvas also thought of this, but they were helpless, and Guanyin was even more upset.

She is the one who benefits the most from Buddhism in the Eastern Tang Dynasty. Her temples are spread all over the Tang Dynasty. She also suffers the most from the extermination of Buddhism. However, she still said: "There is nothing to lose when traveling west to learn Buddhist scriptures!"

Thinking of this, Avalokitesvara said: "Jin Chanzi's biological father, Chen E'ai'er, is eager. He appeared many times on the way to learn the scriptures. The poor monk suspects that this person may be the key person who prevents Wukong from becoming enlightened."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva shouted the Buddha's name and said: "The poor monk has a relationship with Chen Zhuangyuan, so let the poor monk talk to him, maybe he can sell face to me."

"Thank you Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva!"
