I'm a thankful fox in Tokyo

Chapter 72: Practice

Dongye Yu lay on the bed on the floor, flipping through the scriptures in his mind, understanding and memorizing the method word by word.

He also combined some of the Taoist scriptures he had read before, discarding the dross and retaining the essence, and had a slight understanding in his heart.

He basically understood this realm and knew what he should do next. His heart, which had been a little anxious because he could not find the way forward, also calmed down a lot.

There was a feeling of light after darkness.

Dongye Yu slowly opened his eyes, raised his hand to look at his watch, and found that it was already two o'clock in the morning.

It felt like only more than ten minutes had passed, but I didn't expect that it had been several hours?

There was still some time before sunrise tonight. After thinking about it, Dongye Yu was ready to make a concerted effort.

It stands to reason that when breaking through this great realm, one should bathe, fast, burn incense and pray.

But the conditions are limited at the moment, Dongye Yu just got up and went to the bathroom, filled the bathtub with cold water, and prepared to follow the local customs and take a bath, just as a ritual.

I didn't notice it before, and after raising my foot in, Dongye Yu found that he seemed to be able to only squat in the bathtub.

Lifting his feet out, he looked at the full bathtub of water and felt reluctant to leave. The water fee in Tokyo is not cheap.

It's already been put out, just take a simple bath.

With this thought in mind, Dong Yeyu hugged his knees and sat in a tub of cold water.

Looking around this narrow and somewhat anti-human toilet, his heart, which had just read the cultivation method and felt a little ecstatic, suddenly fell into the world of mortals.

For him, the moon is important, but the six pennies under his feet are equally important.

Dong Yeyu silently calculated his savings in his heart.

He spent some money on buying pots, kitchen knives, and seasonings at the weekend. The tutoring fee from Mr. Iori was paid on the weekend, which was about 12,000 yen. Mrs. Sakurada gave him a little more than 270,000 yen, plus the previous savings.

He should have about 540,000 yen now. If he doesn't spend it on a lavish life, he can probably exchange it for a four-month trial card for Tokyo Tianlongren.

Dong Yeyu sighed slightly in his heart. If he was in an economically underdeveloped area like Hokkaido or Aomori, he could live a carefree life with more than 500,000 yen.

But facing the gold-eating monster of Tokyo, this little money seems a little insufficient.

Fortunately, he has a lot of income. If he saves for a few more months, he should be able to move to a larger one-family house.

If you keep this kind of pigeon cage for a long time, you will feel that you have to be jade, and it is not convenient for cultivation.

After drying his body and returning to the room in shorts, Dong Yeyu stared at the night view outside the window and sat quietly for a few minutes to calm his heart.

In the past, it was just an ordinary night view, but now it is wonderful everywhere, and a smile appeared on his face unconsciously.

The first realm he is about to break through is the Yin God.

The ancestor Zhengyang once explained the Yin God in detail in the Zhonglu Chuandao Collection.

Those who are pure Yin without Yang are ghosts, that is, the general mortal souls leave the body after death, which is called ghosts.

When the essence is refined into qi and the spirit is perfect, the spiritual orifices are all open, and the cultivation is skillful and hard-working, one can sit and observe oneself, concentrate the mind and enter into a state of concentration to release the Yin spirit.

When it comes out, one may see a white light like a river in the eyes, which means the spirit comes out of the eyes; or hear the sound of bells, chimes, flutes and pipes in the ears, which means the spirit comes out of the ears.

Because the Yang Qi is not strong, it cannot break through the gate of heaven, so it takes a different path and follows its convenience.

After it comes out, it is also free and happy, walking through the streets and alleys, and climbing mountains by the water.

But it can take shape, not split.

It can only wander in the world, but cannot fly and change.

If the sun is in the sky in midsummer, the Yin spirit will be afraid and avoid it.

Therefore, although it has the air of an immortal, it has not left the ghost interest.

Although it is said so, in fact, the words of the Zhengyang Patriarch have already praised the Qi cultivators who can refine the essence into qi and achieve the Yin spirit.

Most people don't have the fate of becoming immortals like the Eight Immortals of Shangdong Cave. Most mortals have to endure the hardships of daily meditation and spiritual practice. It is rare to be able to obtain the fruit of human immortality without going astray.

Unfortunately, from ancient times to the present, although there are not a few cultivators who have obtained the fruit of human immortality, only a few can break through to the realm of refining qi and transforming into spirit.

Most immortals will eventually become ghost immortals because they cannot get rid of the limitation of life span.

Dong Yeyu sighed slightly when he thought of this.

If he has not broken through at the end of his life span in the future, and really reaches the level of ghost immortal, without the great opportunity of being conferred the position of god, then his life journey will basically be over.

Although ghost immortals are called immortals, it is more like a flattering statement.

Although they are called immortals, they are actually ghosts.

Their life span is generally three hundred years.

The sporadic Taoist scriptures given by the system before also have a brief introduction to ghost immortals and some records of deeds - it is called Taoist scriptures, but it does not look like an obscure scripture, but more like a travelogue.

The book mentions that most ghost immortals will make arrangements to reincarnate before their lifespan ends, hoping to re-enter the path of Taoism in the next life, solve the mystery in the womb, and then walk the path of immortality.

But even if they make arrangements, the chance of being able to walk the path of immortality again is quite small.

After all, there are more than tens of millions of living beings in the world, and it is as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack to find a reincarnated ghost immortal among so many reincarnated living beings.

It can only be said that it depends on luck and keeps a thought.

Some ghost immortals believe that they are not the eternal gods' choice, and they are afraid of sinking into the mortal world. They dare not touch this low-probability event and turn to the path of taking over the body.

This is a typical evil and heretic.

The body taken away is not their own after all. Even if they have a natural talent and understanding that is against the sky, they will be stuck in the realm of refining qi and transforming into spirits because of the incompatibility of soul and body and cannot break through.

Unless they have a deep blessing, have the help of a master, or encounter a divine material to cleanse their soul and body, immortality can basically be said to be a delusion.

When their lifespan is up, they will become ghost immortals again.

Because taking over a person's body is a great sin, the Punishment Department of the Underworld has long recorded it.

There are twelve volumes of Punishment, each with his name.

At the moment of death, the Black and White Impermanence of the Underworld will come to lock up the soul, take it to the underworld to be punished, and then send it to the animal path, completely cutting off its path to immortality.

From this, it can be seen how difficult it is to walk the path of immortality.

Dong Yeyu sighed in his heart, but he did not feel pessimistic or afraid.

He had lived a new life, starting from a wild fox. He had already known what to do and how to do it, and his heart of Taoism was as clear and bright as glass.

There are two "whatevers" in Taoism.

Any behavior, thought, and consciousness that hinders and affects one's cultivation is a sinful karma.

Anyone who misleads, hinders, and interferes with one's cultivation is an evil demon.

Dong Yeyu dragged the bed to the window, leaned against the wall near the window, found a comfortable position to sit down, silently recited the Pure and Quiet Sutra, and eliminated the distracting thoughts in his mind.

After all the distracting thoughts were gone, he began to silently recite the formula of refining qi and transforming spirit. His spiritual consciousness mobilized the true qi and essence in his body to circulate according to the running route given by Shangqing Lingbao Dongxuan Zhenjing, and gathered them in Dantian.

Although it was the first time to circulate the essence and qi in this way, there was no feeling of obscurity at all. Under the mobilization of spiritual consciousness, the essence and qi circulated freely.

It was indeed magical. Dong Yeyu thought in his heart, but his emotions were calm and he continued to move.
