I, Hogwarts Second Week

Chapter 580 Merlin's Secret Treasure

Bill woke up.

He walked into the small hallway. Everyone was sitting in the living room, concentrating on discussing the plan to retake Hogwarts.

The room was elegantly colored and beautifully decorated. A small piece of driftwood picked up from the beach burned in the fireplace, emitting a bright light.

The plan to retake Hogwarts was simple. The D.A. had discussed it many times before. Theseus Scamander only made a few additions and the most important issue of subsequent defense.

"Are you going to retake Hogwarts?" Bill said.

"Yeah." Hermione responded.

"Is it going to be a decisive battle?" Bill took a deep breath. "The goblins."

"Is he awake?" Theseus Scamander asked.

"I noticed some noises coming from that room when I went downstairs just now."

"Go and have a look." Theseus Scamander said.

Bill nodded and led the way.

"This way." They climbed the stairs and Bill passed his and Fleur's room.

Walked to the room inside.

Then he reached out and knocked on the door.

After a pause, a weak voice came from inside, "Come in."

Bill pushed the door open.

The room was obviously cast with an infinite extension spell, and there were three beds, which might have been transformed by transfiguration.

On the two beds next to the door, two goblins were still sleeping.

On the bed next to the window, the goblin had woken up.

Hermione and the others walked in.

They walked lightly and sat on the sofa opposite the bed.

"We need to talk." Theseus Scamander said directly, then glanced at Hermione and motioned her to ask.

"I know." The goblin replied.

Hermione calmed down and asked, "Hello, are you the goblin collector Nagnok? Or do you know where he is?"

"I am Nagnok." The goblin said very bluntly. His face was very pale and his eyes were full of fatigue.

Hermione was a little surprised. She didn't expect that they really ran into Nagnok by chance.

"Ahem, hello Mr. Nagnok." Hermione said, "I'm sorry about what happened to the goblins, but the situation is urgent. I want to ask if you know about the magical weapon [Blade of Prometheus]?"

"You are here for that thing too?" Nagnok's face darkened.

"It seems that you know a lot about it." Hermione said, "So you should know what will happen if the You-Know-Who gets hold of that weapon."

"I know it very well. Human." Nagnok said.

"The goblins got into trouble because they possessed this weapon."

"The goblins are more than just this trouble." Sirius interrupted, "You have occupied too many things."

"That was discovered and excavated by the goblins, it's ours," Nagnok retorted. He changed his position on the bed and winced in pain.

"What's the point of saying that?" Sirius sneered, "But others don't think so."

"Sure enough, you guys with wands are the same. You always want to steal the goblins' wealth."

"People with wands?" Harry thought the word sounded strange.

"The right to carry a wand," the goblin whispered, "is something that wizards and goblins have been fighting for for a long time.

"Goblins can perform magic without a wand." Ginny, who was beside Harry, said.

"That's not the point! Wizards refuse to share the secrets of wand lore with other magical creatures to prevent us from expanding our power!"

"Goblins are also unwilling to reveal their magic." Ginny retorted, "You won't tell us how to make swords and armor. The special way goblins forge metals is something that wizards have never-"

"That's not the point." Nagnok laughed maliciously: "As the Dark Lord becomes increasingly powerful, your race will be more firmly established above us! Gringotts was controlled by wizards and goblins were slaughtered. Who would protest with a wand?"

"Maybe you forgot." Sirius sneered: "But do you want me to remind you that it was us, the group of people with wands, who saved your life a few hours ago!"

"That's the precious secret about goblins that you want to get out of me! "Nagnok said bluntly: "What is the difference between you and the Dark Lord in essence?"

"The difference is that you can still talk to us properly now, instead of me waving my wand to pry open your brain, idiot!" Sirius said viciously.

"Okay Sirius. Don't provoke him." Hermione interrupted hurriedly. She looked at Nagnok again, "Sir, I am not interested in what you did before. You should talk about [Prometheus Blade] first. I don't think you want to see the mysterious man become more powerful. "

"Yes, I don't want to." The goblin gritted his teeth and said.

After a pause, he began to narrate as if he had accepted his fate: "That thing was not originally called this name. The information we found in ancient books should be called [Star Blade].

Hundreds of years ago, the goblin found this strange weapon from the ruins. It was very special. Any creature that was touched by its blade would suddenly self-immolate and then be burned to death.

We spent decades researching it, and then it was stolen."

"Stolen? A mysterious person?"

"No——" Nagnok shook his head, "It was the most famous wizard among you humans, the great wizard named Merlin. He changed the name of [Star Blade] and said that he was like Prometheus who stole fire, and it was time to return the fire to the gods."

"Merlin?" Hermione was startled. Although she was a little surprised to see Merlin here, she didn't find it strange. She knew that Merlin was the heir, and it was reasonable for the other party to find the goblin.

"Wait - if Merlin took the [Star Blade], then what did the mysterious man take away?" Harry interrupted and asked.

"Who told you which weapon is complete, kid." Nagnok said.

"I think you should know the function of that weapon very well." Nagnok looked at Hermione, "So how could it be complete? The ancient wizard broke it. Merlin took the handle part, and the mysterious man took the tip part."

"So the current [Star Blade] is useless at all?" Hermione asked in surprise.

"How do I know?" Nagnok said impatiently: "We haven't experimented. But I can tell you that even if it's just the tip part, it has great power. It may be useful or not."

"Then do you know where Merlin took the other part of the [Star Blade]?" Harry asked.

"Hehe——" Nagnok stared at Harry as if he was an idiot.

That look made Harry a little scared.

And at this moment, suddenly a light flashed in his head, and a place came to his mouth, ready to come out.

"It's Hogwarts!"

"In the past, your goblin brotherhood attacked Hogwarts just to take back the weapon."

"Hehe——" Nagnok laughed coldly.

"Hey, your uncle." Fred yelled behind Bill, "I really want to beat you up, you idiot."

Their Weasley family and goblins have a blood feud.

All the secrets have been solved.

Initially, the goblins attacked Hogwarts to take back the weapon that Merlin took away, but the subsequent battle with Shani made them change their goal.

After all, the weapon that Merlin took away was illusory, but Shani was real.

What you can get by attacking an heir is comparable to a broken knife.

Bill and Ginny both showed hatred.

They are all true.

How could they easily forget the terrible suffering that their ancestor Shani suffered before her death.

The goblins used despicable means and used her children to threaten Shani to wear the cursed crown of thorns. At the moment of wearing it, the thorns pierced into her body as if alive. Devouring her flesh and blood.

Bill couldn't imagine how his ancestor escaped the encirclement of the goblins under such torture.

But the process was absolutely cruel.

"Huh--" Bill took a deep breath, "I'll go out for some fresh air."

He had a strong desire to kill the goblin in front of him.

He was afraid that he would not be able to bear it if he stayed here.

"Let's go too." Hermione stood up and said.

She naturally knew where Merlin hid the broken knife.

She, Owen and Victor were the only ones in the whole Hogwarts who knew that place.

Now, she had to return to Hogwarts as soon as possible.

Everyone moved quickly.

After confirming the news, they went back to execute the plan without stopping immediately.

Harry and Hermione also returned to the alchemy workshop.

Theseus Scamander's plan was simple.

First, let some wizards go to Hogwarts from the tunnel.

Then send a large army to attack head-on.

When they were in a stalemate with the Death Eaters, those wizards suddenly jumped out to launch an attack.

Although this plan was simple, it had a high success rate.

Because the Death Eaters did not expect that there would be wizards from the Order of the Phoenix who had already ambushed in the castle.

As a decisive battle, Theseus Scamander was ready to mobilize all the living forces.

The important thing was not to recapture Hogwarts, but to face the subsequent attack of Voldemort.

Preparation for war takes time.

Theseus Scamander decided to set the attack time at the early morning of December 31, 1996.

When the New Year's bell rang, the decisive battle began.

For the rest of the time, everyone was preparing intensively.

All the wizards who came from various European countries to support gathered in Hogsmeade Village.

Ron and Coatl also rushed back afterwards.

As for Hermione, she couldn't wait for the wizards of the anti-Voldemort alliance to attack Hogwarts.

On the second day after returning to the alchemy workshop, she sneaked into Hogwarts.

With the help of Harry's invisibility cloak, she easily reached the library.

Passing through the secret room under the library, she easily opened the stone door leading to Merlin's secret room with the [Star Tears] left by Owen.

Stepping into the corridor of the secret room again, Hermione felt a strong sense of loss in her heart.

Maybe it was the girl's sixth sense. This feeling became stronger as she got closer to the hall of the secret room.

"What's wrong, kid? Why are you here?"

Under the canopy of trees that covered the sky, the huge mirror slowly turned around.

Dean Bridget appeared in the mirror.

"Professor." Hermione calmed down and said, "I'm here to take a magic weapon left by Master Merlin."

"Magic weapon?" Bridget frowned slightly, "Child, I don't know what the great wizard Merlin left behind, but only the heir has the key to open the treasure door."

"Then do you know what the key is?" Hermione asked.

"No——" Dean Bridget shook her head, "But I believe that thing will be with Owen."

"This--" Hermione did not give in, but changed the way of asking questions, "Can you let me see what 'the lock' looks like? Maybe I can find a way."

"Well--Okay." Seeing that Hermione was not giving in, Dean Bridget did not refuse. She planned to let the girl in front of her give up.

As her voice fell.

The huge mirror suddenly rippled like the surface of water.

Then, a small dent appeared behind the water.

"This is the lock." Dean Bridget's voice still came from the mirror, "If you want to find the key, you must pass a test left by Master Merlin."

"You"

Hermione did not hear what Dean Bridget said after that. At this moment, she focused all her attention on the dent.

The more she looked at it, the more familiar it felt.

Then, Hermione took out the stone door that helped her open the secret room, which was the treasure given to her by Owen.

[Star Tears]

"This--" Dean Bridget stopped talking at once.

Although her appearance could not be seen at this time, the headmaster's face must be full of surprise just from the sound.

"Child, where did you find it?"

Before Headmaster Bridget finished speaking, Hermione embedded her teardrop in the dent.

The next second, the mirror burst out with thousands of dark and deep lights.

It was as if a hole was torn in the clouds.

A road appeared in the mirror.

Hermione hesitated for a moment, then walked straight in.

Stepping into the mirror, the little witch felt a dizzy spin, and the surrounding scene quickly blurred and clear, and finally fixed in a strange space she had never seen before.

This is neither any corner of Hogwarts, nor any secret room or forbidden place she has ever explored.

The air is filled with a faint, indescribable magical atmosphere, and the surroundings are shrouded in soft and mysterious light.

She looked around and found that this was a path paved by countless bright stars. Every step seemed to be on the Milky Way, and the starlight under her feet was shining, leading her to the unknown depths.

Finally, she came to a platform made up of stars.

From a distance, she saw a man kneeling on the platform.

The man had long silver hair and was wearing a very old court uniform.

There was a sword beside him.

The whole man was kneeling on the ground in a curled-up posture.

Hermione approached carefully.

She walked to the front of the man.

"Merlin?"

The little witch looked at the wizard kneeling on the ground in shock. He had a face exactly like Merlin.

The man held a broken-blade dagger shaped like a candlestick in both hands.

The other end of the dagger pierced his heart.

Suddenly, a gentle and ancient voice sounded in her heart, and the voice seemed to have traveled through time and space, with endless wisdom and kindness: "Sure enough, it will be you who comes here."

"Hermione Granger."
