18 – Chapter 5. Hellfire – 3

– 19 –

I turned my nose and returned to where I started.

Glancing down from the sky, Curst and the soldiers seemed to be busy, perhaps moving to clean up after the battle.

When the helicopter landed on the vacant lot, Curst and his lieutenants were out to meet them.

After synchronizing the body with the pendant, I reported to Curst.

“I’ve been there.”

“Erif! What the hell happened? Did you really kill 4 Arachne in 20 minutes?”

“Yes. It seems that the other soldiers have also scattered.”

At my words, the soldiers around me began to look at me with frightened eyes.

I was willing to go out on my own if I said, ‘Get out of our army, this monster.’

At that time, someone came running from afar.

He handed the communicator he was holding to Kirst, who, as soon as he received the communicator, frowned and shouted loudly.

“Do you think that makes sense? Oh, no work. Hmm. So, are you acknowledging that the Arachne who appeared in those mountains are yours? Then we cannot admit it either. Then come on.”

After cutting off the communicator, Curst handed it over to the person who brought it.

“It was real. Now there was a voice of sickness in the republic. They lost four tanks, and they must say that they were not the cause of the riot in the mountains, so they must be in trouble.”

Kirst smiled cheerfully, pulled the pipe out of his arms and asked. Then he grabbed my shoulder and said with a serious face.

“Erif. Did a great job Destroying 4 Arachne hiding in the mountains in such a short time. You really…….”

At Kirst’s words, the soldiers around them nodded their heads. Did I ever do something great?

Then I may grant you one request.

“Additional points.”

“What?”

“Please give me additional points.”

When you ask for something, be polite. I studied respectful words in my spare time, so it must not have been wrong.

At my words, Kirst put on a bewildered expression, and the other soldiers also put on a bewildered expression.

And at the scene that soon became a sea of laughter, I had to scratch my cheeks blushing alone.

When I changed into the clothes I had been wearing, there was a car coming to meet me.

Curst offered to have lunch, but he turned it down because he didn’t have to.

More than anything else, I wanted to go back as soon as possible.

“I think it will be faster if we go back to the helicopter.”

“I am upset. Just get in the car and go back.”

It was a word I had just thrown, so I nodded and asked the driver who was standing behind me.

“Did you eat?”

The driver responded after taking a modest, attentive posture.

“Yes! I’ve been eating well!”

Okay. The time is now around 12:30, so if I go back quickly, I think I’ll be able to start the class at 3 o’clock.

I don’t know what class Chermia is going to take, so let’s just think about getting her back soon.

She got into the car and spoke to the driver.

“Until 2:30.”

“Four!”

It took about 2 hours to arrive, so it’s not an unreasonable request.

Lying on the soft seat of the car, I relieved the fatigue of the weary body.

When I closed my eyes, a tank that had been squashed and melted by the Hellfire I shot appeared faintly on my retina.

According to the researcher, at least 4 people are required to operate Arachne. Today I would have died at least in double digits.

Surprisingly, there was no feeling. The opponents were men who threatened the lives of powerless civilians.

There was no fear of escalating into a state-to-state fight.

In the beginning, the people who were put into the operation to evade responsibility were made into an unidentified group.

If so, have they been abandoned by the state?

“Discard tile.”

The words that came to mind were made somewhat unfamiliar with the power of the interpreter’s bracelet, and I rubbed my lips.

The pronunciation of the word discarded is like this.

I hope I will never have to say it again in the future.

Whether the target is the enemy, ally, or me.

“We have arrived, Erif-sama!”

When the driver opened the door, he jumped out of the car. I’m not sure if my legs are short or my body is high.

The time is 2:10. You stepped on it hard, driver.

“Thank you.”

When I said something with a smile, the driver saluted me and drove out of the military academy.

Everyone is having afternoon classes. Oh. There must be some kids who don’t attend class.

Once I stopped by the room, I washed my face, changed into my uniform, and took the paper with the curriculum written on it.

“Tuesday 3pm… ….”

There was nothing I wanted to hear in particular in class on Tuesday afternoon.

What stands out among them is the ‘Operator Theory Fundamentals’ at 3 o’clock and the ‘Operator Practice’ at 4 o’clock, which seem to be the major classes of the operator class.

By the way, the pilot class was held all Thursday afternoon.

The class on ‘Military Animal Communication’ looked like a lot of fun, but you probably won’t be able to take it. It was really sad.

Oops. Now I have to go to class on Tuesday.

Looking at the timetable again, I headed to the classroom building where classes were held.

Come to think of it, it was better to infer what class Chermia was taking at 2 o’clock because I could just meet up with Chermia and take a class together anyway.

“2 O’clock… …. Is this?”

There were classes called ‘Basics of Magical Operation’ and ‘Basic Maintenance’. Chermia is probably taking a magic management class.

Shane may be taking a basic maintenance class. Seeing her take CQC classes, it seems like she likes to use her body quite a bit.

Fortunately, both classes were held near the playground. Probably because it requires a large space for magic and maintenance.

I turned my steps toward the classroom building to the playground. After all, there was a playground in front of the classroom building, so I just walked past the building.

And when I saw the playground, I was amazed.

“Oh.”

Various weapons were lined up on one side of the playground, which was empty until yesterday.

And on the other side, dozens of people were using magic at the same time towards a line of targets.

I was sitting on the stairs for a while and watching, a senior passing by came up to me.

“Hello! Do you have any trouble?”

The senior looked kind, but he shook his head without saying a word because there was no trouble.

“Then why are you watching me here? If the kids are bullying you…….”

It seems that I misunderstood something.

A child who sits on the stairs far away from the new students taking classes on the playground and watches them.

It was a sight that could be misunderstood even if I saw it.

“No. I’m late for class because of something else. Wait for my friend.”

“Oh, that’s right. Sorry for the misunderstanding. But it would be okay to sneak into the classes in the middle. Besides, this week is class selection week, isn’t it? There is no such thing as attendance, so you can just go and listen.”

That’s right. I guess I’ll have to go and meet Chermia in person. Because it might get mixed up in the middle.

I got up from my seat, took off my skirt, and bowed my head to greet the senior.

“Thank you.”

“No. Then go to class.”

“Yes.”

All the seniors here are friendly.

First, I moved to the place where the magic flies.

The girl, waving her hand until the silver-haired girl went down the stairs and across her playground, she headed into the dark alley behind her classroom wing.

There was no one there.

It was still class time, and it was originally a sparsely populated place. Even the female student knew it, so she came here.

Taking out a heavy communicator from her pocket, she dialed her number and started talking to someone.

“It’s me, Master. Yes. I think you’re doing fine. Sure. I’m from the same place as the master. She seemed a little lost, so she helped out a little.”

She removed her communicator from her ear for a moment when the other person made a loud noise, and then the girl put her communicator back on her face.

“Oh, don’t suddenly shout. Why? It was very cute. In the lab, they call me ‘Princess’. It’s a bit of a cringe nickname, but it suits him so well……. Yeah? ‘Jäger’? Hunter?”

The girl listened to her partner, holding her communicator with her serious face.

After a while, she finished her call and turned off her communicator, licking her lips lightly and giving her an age-inappropriate sensual smile.

“I didn’t see it that way. With that innocent face…….”

As she recalled the silver-haired girl she had just met, the girl trembled at her creepy feeling.

She maybe she’s a trembling of excitement.

A girl who can stand up to the master has appeared

That fact made her, who admires her strength, feel a feeling closer to her joy than her fear.

“Well, you still look immature, so I should help you. Before I die of old age, I want you to have a fierce battle with the Master, princess.”

The girl who muttered to herself disappeared into the darkness. Only silence remained in her place.
