A streak of white light spawns onto the floor of the house inside the special space. As it shone, Ellena was perplexed by what had happened.

"What was it-?"

Boom!

The light that shone briefly exploded in a violent manner. The floor got destroyed, making a huge crater. Debris flew, some turned into dust. And with it, Aaron was contentedly smiling.

"What?!"

Ellena was breathlessly surprised to see the enormous explosion that she had underestimated a while ago.

Not knowing it exploded too late, Ellena looked at Aaron with astonishment.

"That was called Delayed Blast. I can cast a spell, but it explodes five seconds later. Maybe equivalent to a grenade."

Ellena was just speechless, amazed, and amused. Inside, she was containing her excitement. What she just saw was out of this world's performance. Even with the combination of her fire magic and lightning, she thinks she won't be able to do something like that.

But I was wondering about it. Does any existing spell have that kind of power? And thus, she asked Aaron if he had read other magic books inside the base.

"Do you think there was an existing spell like that? Will I even learn it?" Ellena eagerly asked Aaron, who was left dumbfounded by what she said.

"It's possible. But it will take time since you'll need to learn more about perfect mana control. It is different from what you are learning right now. Maybe... Oh! I don't mean to discourage you."

Aaron stopped his explanation when Ellena started to feel dispirited. But with Aaron's words, worried that he might have downed her, Ellena shook her head.

"No, it's okay. I know that you have a different system that is already unlogical. So I could work harder. You said it's possible, right?"

Aaron just smiled, with a bitter feeling inside.

"Yes. It is."

Thinking that Ellena was understanding, Aaron sighed inside then opened his system, Technique Bringer.

"For the past two weeks, I've been only studying magic theory. And thus, reading more about the basic understanding of magic, I made a theory and a technique."

Aaron selected [Advanced Mana Control] from the slots and immediately gave it to Ellena.

"What's... this?" Ellena was speechless after that, as information streamed inside her head.

She gulped a mouthful of saliva at the discovery that what Aaron gave her was something too important.

"I made that technique. From understanding the basic technique that you've been taught right now, I can feel that you are ready with this since the advanced technique is useless without learning the basics."

Aaron said it with a smile, encouraging Ellena.

That two weeks of effort wasn't in vain. Since Aaron was hoping that Ellena would learn the basics quickly, he was tempted to give it to her.

"Thank you, Aaron..." A word that came from Ellena, tearfully looking at Aaron.

"Hah... Then, start practicing it. That way, you can build your core more formidable than before."

"How did you..." Leonora was speechless as she peered at Ellena while standing at the door's frame.

Ellena was still sitting on the formation drawn on the floor. However, what took her attention was Ellena's progress. She can see the mana around her, willingly following her commands, then entering her body without any pressure going to her.

Ellena appeared to be effortlessly absorbing the mana in her surroundings.

"This is... advanced."

Leonora slowly approached Ellena, but when she heard it, Ellena stopped what she was doing and faced her.

"Welcome, Miss Leonora." Ellena greeted her with a smile on her face.

"Yes. But, Miss Ellena, can you tell me what you just did?"

"Ah... I was just doing it normally, but with a slight modification of what you taught."

Then, Ellena continued explaining what she was doing without making it sound like she already knew it. And after the explanation, Leonora fell to the couch.

"You are a genius," Leonora said; nothing else came out of her mouth.

"Please. You're making me flattered. "

"No. I am serious. You thought that after learning the theory. It's actually beyond logic. It's now reasonable how you learned rough mana control without building a core. You are the definition of a genius."

And after some time complimenting Ellena, Leonora finally calmed down.

"Would you mind if I report this to the management? Manager Polan will surely like this." Leonora said.

Ellena smiled then nodded.

"I would like to learn more. With the guidance of society, I can finally save everyone from my grandfather."

Leonora hung up, looking at Ellena with perplexity. And after observing Ellena's expression, she made a frown.

It was as if she was contradicting Ellena's enthusiasm.

"Did you come here to learn our ways? Or just to use our knowledge?"

Ellena was stiffened after hearing Leonora's words. She looked at her with perplexity.

"Is it wrong? I mean, saving someone from my evil grandfather?"

Leonora shook her head.

"No, it's not. We are also saving the world from shadows, clearing dungeons independently from the outside world. But can you be honest with me? Why did you come here?" Leonora was seriously looking at her, testing Ellena's intentions.

Aaron wasn't feeling any contempt nor threats. That's why he just let them have a conversation without interfering with Ellena's thoughts.

"I am using what I'll learn here, but it doesn't mean that I don't want to learn your ways. I want to save others. Since I was a child, I was helpless, and thinking of a brighter future for the world, I want to do better."

Leonora didn't push any questions at Ellena. She sighed, then stood up after it.

"That's enough for me to be relieved. I'll report this to the manager and request higher education. I feel like you will be the key to our wishes."

Then she left the house with a thought, 'What if the continent was saved by a Cursed Child. What would people think? Will they disregard the temple because of this?'

And as it rang in her mind and heart, Aaron heard it, facing towards her, watching her leave the house.
