"Ellena, how about I do a quick inspection of each of the clues we got? Now that we have some certain information, I can finally think of inspecting areas by myself to save time." I suggested while Ellena and Gero were sitting on Cules's back.

'You don't mind? Then, please do so...' Ellena sighed after it.

"Why are you sighing? Does anything give a problem to you?" I asked as her condition right now wasn't at the top.

I've noticed it. Since the time Gero was with Ellena, she couldn't be at the top of her condition. I should've paid attention to it, but right now, I am sure that Gero was the reason.

It has been a week since I arrived in Fillian City.. And just after a week of discovering the disappearance of some of the villagers in Gero's village, Ellena becomes breathless.

"Please make a distance with Gero. I think this is something about being a cursed child." I said.

Ellena glared at me after saying it as if she couldn't believe that it came from my mouth.

'Aaron. Don't tell me you are becoming scum like those who hate black hairs?!'

It was insensitive of me, but it was necessary to mention it.

"No, I don't. But just to be sure, you also know that you felt breathless since you took Gero under your wing."

Ellena became silent for a moment after I said it. Perhaps it also made her realize that there's a possibility with what I said.

I just sighed as I ordered Cules to stop.

"What's the matter, Big Sister?" Gero asked as his curiosity emerged after stopping.

Being clueless, Gero just nodded and watched as Ellena left him. After it, he just sighed.

'I hope that Sister Ellena won't leave me.'

It was a moment of time that made me shocked.

Abruptly, some phenomena happened that I couldn't believe. I rubbed his eyes and ears, then looked at Gero again. However, I didn't hear any other thoughts.

Did I hear it right? I heard his thoughts! It was unexpected, but I heard his voice!

With what I was feeling, Cules silently looked at me with worried eyes. I sighed then went to him to caress his fur.

I looked at Gero again just to be sure.

I heard his thoughts but no system was triggered. Then it means I am growing up as a pixie?

I know for sure that being a pixie was the reason why I could feel auras. But does that also mean that I can hear thoughts?

Ellena left us to rest herself from afar. It was my suggestion and perhaps an absurd one. But this one feels surreal.

I can hear significant thoughts. Perhaps something that the heart has a strong desire for. I can hear the thoughts that are shouted in the hearts of people!

Amazing... I am still not sure... But if there's a chance I stumble upon knowledge about pixies, I will definitely study it.

And if this is a slight evolution of my body, then it means I can unlock other specific abilities that pixies have.

It had been almost half an hour, and I noticed Ellena was going back. As I had already kept my composure back, I approached her and asked.

'I've been thinking about this, but it felt like Gero and I had a connection. And also, Gero was perhaps safe because of witches. They might be secretly securing his safety.'

That's absurd. But I couldn't ignore it. From what I've read, witches are gruesome and loathful creatures. People weren't sure what kind of creature they were, but cursed children resembled them and also attracted them.

But all of what I know was from books I read that I should and should not believe completely.

If Ellena's idea makes sense, then it's reasonable that witches get near cursed children because of kinship. If witches are cursed children, then it means that they are just saving cursed children and, along the way, causing a ruckus.

Wow... I can't believe I overlooked this possibility.

"Thank you, Ellena. That was an amazing observation. But what was the relationship between what you felt and Gero?"

Wait a minute. Why am I even asking this?

Witches have different and unexplainable powers, and also, from records, they are difficult to handle. So it means, since Cursed Children don't usually have powerful abilities, it means that they have another standard of power.

Then, I should forget that Ellena was the only one chosen by the 'gods'. Since Ellena has a different power, it could mean that other cursed children have different powers as well.

Then, I should believe that witches are just cursed children!

"Connection between cursed children, and different kinds of power. Cursed children attract 'witches' then if the witches are just cursed children, they can feel a kinship. And what you can feel right now..."

'It was a connection between cursed children.'

It means that we've been followed by witches since the beginning!

It doesn't pose a threat, but these hypotheses are what I think is most logical to accept. It has the background, the definition, and also the best conclusion.

But why... if they are securing Gero, does this mean that they are observing Ellena?

Also, the reason that Gero was attacked might be their fault and Ellena's presence. They don't know Ellena, and I haven't noticed a witch since Ellena's childhood. Then I could assume that there was an anomaly.

It could mean that Ellena is on a test to see if they can trust her with Gero or not.

I see now... Witches don't commit unnecessary killings. They have a principle. But this... I shouldn't just assume, I should try and see it narrowly.

Don't see others as what you think, but see others as what they are. Do not assume what they are, and think logically.

I sighed then finally had my thoughts back.

"Ellena, can you lower your mask? Or change it with a cloth big enough to cover your mouth and nose. I have a suggestion to give."

Ellena just nodded without questioning. She might have thought of it as well, and without wasting any time, Ellena changed her mask to cloth.

'Then, I will change my hair back to black.'

And as I expected, after Ellena changed her hair back to black. Brushing sounds resounded the whole area and human figures started appearing.

"You are also a cursed child?" A voice resounded, coming from one of the human figures that appeared.
