I Became A System

It's difficult to manage things while having a body that is not physically available to others. Well, it made me think that I'm at the edge of my limits, so, I asked Ellena to try to talk with the landlord. Apparently, the night before Ellena leaves the city called Fillian City, I discovered something.

I read some records of the noble family that ruled over the neighboring city. And as I read through it, this city, called Humban City, was friendly with Fillian City and the head since the beginning of the expansion of the dukedom.

And as the ancestors and founders of the respective families are close, they made a pact that they'd help each other in the next generations.

However, as someone in the Fillian family was drowned by greed, the other branches and the head of the family died, leaving the firstborn and the second, who is also the current head.

But there were investigations that were run by Humban City. And in their investigation, they discovered Walter, who was an illegitimate son of a branch of Fillian.

And as I continued to read, I finally realized why only the firstborn was left alive in the just family..

Walter and the current head, called Yuto, were envious of the first born's talents, who was Ryto. Because of that, being powerless in the family, since of Ryto's talents, they decided to forcefully take over the family and kill everyone secretly. And the answer to how they did it? There was none.

Leaving Ryto, they wanted to implant a trauma in him which eventually made him insane.

Now... I am sure where to find Ryto and I plan to make him the next head. Even though he was uncharismatic in some ways, I still wanted his talent to fix everything.

I am not self-centered. Though contradictory in what I do, I want knowledge to flow. So... wiping oppression will be a great way.

And so, as the next day came, I left Ellena with a request to visit the head of the Humban Family. Of course, I want her to introduce herself as a White Gold Ranker, not as a noble too.

It will be problematic for a faraway noble child to get into the affairs of two families with no relationship to any of them.

And so... after Ellena left Fillian City, I went to find Ryto.

Actually, I am not sure that in three days I can fix things. But it was my calculation if I had a body. However, since I still have this invisible body, it made me act like an idiot who wanted to sound cool.

Nevertheless, I am confident that I can fix things within a week. Also, I might make another request to Ellena and ask her to act as my mediator.

After looking into the slums, I found Ryto. His appearance was just what explained his environment. He was dirty, ragged, and also insanely bad to look at. Those words I mentioned have the same meaning, and that's how I want to implement things excessively.

But... I must say, we still have a card. Ryto was not insane. He was secretly making plans in these slums.

I finally understand why he acted insanely and hid in the slums. In this way, he won't be discovered.

And now that he wants to overthrow the tyrannical ruling of Yuto, I can finally see the light!

Ellena returned with the news. The head of Humban Family agreed with Ellena's terms.

How? I particularly mentioned 'Divine Punishment. I made the head think that Ellena got eyes and ears everywhere, and pointing it out that it was the spy's idea made the head think credible of it.

Now... He is literally making a deal with the devil.

Of course, the head was still skeptical about it. However, I made sure that Ellena would tell him the exact words.

"I may not know what promises your founders made to each other, but I will make sure that the relationship between Humban and Fillian Family will be back in condition."

That... was the turning point. Apparently, that was a knowledge that only the heads knew, and of course, Yuto doesn't know it. That's why he keeps on spouting Marquis Phobious's name.

Why would he keep on saying that? Well, apparently, the territory head was lenient with his vassals, thus, making untouchable Yuto and Walter since it wasn't publicized that they violently took over the government.

Well... It's too late now. I have already finished my job here. We just need to wait for the Humban soldiers to mobilize.

"By the way, what have you learned about the village? Did you get useful information?" I asked as we were already done with my topic.

Ellena nodded as she took out something in her pocket.

"This is a web from a nearby village that was almost attacked by a Dark Dreadful Spider. But fortunately, they survived, as the city men successfully drove it out. And other information was limited, such as where the monster might possibly go."

So it was like that... Now it's becoming more problematic here. We are sure that the monster took the villagers, but we don't know where. We can't search the areas though.

Hm... How about I do a favor for Ellena? Since she helped me, how about I work hard for this one?

"How about I search the base for you? It will be beneficial, right?"

But she seems to be reluctant to answer my suggestion. I don't know, but is she shy somehow?

I could only scoff.

"Why are you reluctant?"

"What's your decision? Because if you want to accept it, I'll agree with it since we can spread your fame through Humban's guild branch." I said and just after it, a breaming smile came from her.
