I Became A System

The abilities that Aaron presented appeared to be easy to understand for Ellena. As she already had an idea of her abilities' potential, she already knew what to pick from the choices.

The abilities that Aaron presented were from the top 3 that can be used. Even if he wanted to pick a stronger ability, it would cost plenty of points and stamina. So, he picked what he thought was appropriate for the situation.

"What do you want?" Aaron asked.

"I want to have that magic attack. Fire attribute. It's classy and it would stand out." Ellena said, with a crazy smile on her face.

Aaron just shook his head after hearing it, but others begged to differ. Their eyes were just puzzled, looking at Ellena as if talking to herself. In this case, they thought that their target was crazy.

With Ellena's decision, Aaron started to install the ability after opening the book. And just like that, Ellena felt the urge of power in her body.

"Now you know what's the rule," Aaron said.

"Well, this is like lightning, but a different element. It's just magic."

Though magic is difficult to control, Ellena has pure talent when it comes to magic. Even though she didn't know the capabilities of the fire element, she thought it well. Fire is fire and it burns.

Ellena started moving backward to move away from the men. When the men saw it, they thought that Ellena was getting tired and wanted to conserve her energy. But in just a split of a second, one of them started burning.

'They all have proficiency of 30% over their abilities. Even if they are great at martial arts, my attacks will always depend on their proficiency in their abilities.' Ellena thought after opening her Perceiving Eyes.

But the downside of the ability she took was the stamina. Even though she had a huge amount of stamina from intense running every morning, it still couldn't be compared to veterans who do more intense training to raise their stamina.

Their eyes widened when they saw fire coming out of Ellena's palm. It wasn't what they were expecting. And that's just what they were thinking. They thought that Ellena's ability was at least in the category where she could weaken her enemies' abilities.

Or they were tricked?

But how can it be explained? They were obviously weakened. Does this mean that they were playing with their minds?

Ellena grinned after seeing everyone's reaction. Even her company was shocked. However, Thalia was composed at the moment. She was mesmerizing, looking at Ellena's elegant movements of her hands.

When Selena and Rosellete were stunned and shocked, they looked at Thalia to see her reaction. But she wasn't showing any particular shocked expression. They assumed that Thalia already knew it.

"Master is a dual-ability owner? Or it was her actual ability and Aaron was just an invisible pet?" Rosellete asked.

But when Selena gave a thought to it, she finally understood why Ellena had showcased amazing talents and skills. Also, there are times when she can't deduce what Ellena's ability is since she can't see through her.

"I think Ellena isn't a dual-ability owner. She has multiple abilities."

Rosellete raised her eyebrow after hearing it. It was absurd. If someone exists that has multiple abilities, the world should know about it since people like them would stand out in public. But when she gave thought to it, she eventually gave in to her speculations.

"Master is a legend." And a profound smile appeared on her face.

When the men finally got their concentration back, they attacked Ellena again.

On the other side, the commander was simultaneously cursing. This wasn't in the report. At least what was written was that she had just a talent for swords. But the report was wrong. They even thought that she had the ability to weaken enemies.

Everything was wrong.

"This is annoying. Move! I will fight her!" he roared, then started moving.

But before the commander arrived at Ellena's position, she was incinerating every person that approached her.

Bursting flames embrace their faces, burning every inch of their skin and flesh. Everyone burns, even to the third degree when they can't dodge her attacks.

White flesh can be seen, but it wasn't actually white flesh. It was their destroyed epidermis and dermis. Also, a yellowish color is prominent on their burns.

"Gaaahh!"

One by one, they started shouting when they couldn't defend themselves from Ellena's attack. Even if they wanted to push their abilities to the limits, they can't. Because of the unknown phenomena where their abilities were weakened, they couldn't put up a fight with Ellena. Especially when she has been blazing with her fire magic for minutes, which is also confusing.

"How can she last longer than what a mage can?! Where does her stamina come from?!"

"Shit! I am not paid for this hell! I'm out!"

"Gaaahhh!!"

Ellena felt the situation was going well. Even though the blessing from Aaron was about to end, she still had a decent amount of stamina remaining.

"Looks like you're enjoying yourself," Aaron said.

"Yup! Look! Their eyes are just amazing! They are starting to lose hope, and eventually, I can use my title to earn points!"

"Have you ever tried the technique?" Aaron continued to ask while Ellena was raging the flames in the surrounding.

Ellena nodded to his question. "They were strong, even with my Pressure Aura activated. But I think it's not satisfactory. They were still weak compared to Verxal, who I am about to fight."

"I see…"

"This bitch!" the commander yelled and activated his ability, Berserker.

Aaron saw him, even praised his efforts. But it was too late. It would've been advantageous for them if he attacked from the beginning. But now that they are starting to get cornered, they can just at least escape and try to report everything to their boss.

Ellena also noticed the changes in the commander. Though she didn't see him in the beginning, she can describe the drastic changes in him since he didn't look like a normal human to her eyes.

The commander's skin became darker and his eyes were darker too. His hair became spiky and his nails were also long. His muscles… can't be even explained based on a normal human's perspective. He just became more reminiscent of a beast.

Well, his ability indeed made him look like a beast, but he was still human. His mind was just a little unstable because of the rage he was feeling that fuelled his ability.

"Lightning Manipulation!" Ellena exclaimed, using the full power of her lightning ability.

The commander was hit and pushed towards the ground. Everyone, especially the men, gasped in surprise and was stunned by Ellena's other ability.

"She has the ability of lightning?" All of them murmured and even felt more agitated.

"YOU BITCH!"

Surprisingly, the commander was still surviving even though he was barely moving his body. But Aaron and Ellena didn't underestimate him. Because just a few seconds later, his body started healing back to normal.

"This is amazing," Ellena mumbled with an excited expression painted on her face.
