HP Magic Biography

Chapter 916 Training

In the days that followed, word spread around the school that Hagrid had been investigated.

Much to Harry's indignation, few people were upset about this, in fact, some, notably Malfoy, seemed to be extremely happy about it.

And Harry, Ron, Valin and Hermione seemed to be the only ones who knew and cared about the Ministry of Magic staff member who died at St. Mungo's Hospital.

There was only one topic in the corridors now: ten escaped Death Eaters, whose stories had been spread throughout the school by those who had read the papers. Rumor has it that some of them have settled down in Hogsmeade, hiding in the Shrieking Shack, and are preparing to attack Hogwarts, just as Sirius Black once did.

I have to admit that the Ministry of Magic once again smeared Sirius, escaped from prison, deceived the Wizengamot, let people take the blame, and helped Death Eaters escape from prison...

It just blew Harry's lungs.

Students from magical families were as frightened when they heard the names of these Death Eaters as they were about Voldemort. The crimes committed by those men during Voldemort's reign of terror have been brought into legend.

Among the students at Hogwarts, there are some people who are related to the victim and are now pointed at when they walk in the corridors: Susan. Burns, whose uncle, aunt and cousin were all killed at the hands of one of the Death Eaters, spoke tragically to Harry while attending Professor Sputrow's Biology, saying that now she knew how Harry felt : I don't know how you can stand it - it's just horrible!

She frankly added so much dragon dung to her saplings that she writhed and squeaked uncomfortably with them.

True, Harry was again the target of muttering and pointing in the corridors these days, but he noticed that the voices seemed slightly different than usual.

It sounded more curious than hostile, and once or twice he'd even overheard conversations expressing displeasure about how and why the ten Death Eaters had escaped.

In their confusion and fear, these doubts seemed to be explained by another explanation: that was what Harry and Dumbledore had been insisting on for the past year.

It's not just the attitudes of the students that have changed. Two or three teachers also started talking in low tones and nervously in the hallway, and stopped talking quickly when they saw students approaching.

They obviously can't talk freely in the teachers' common room, Harry, Ron, Valin and Hermione saw Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout gathered outside the spelling classroom one day. Together, Hermione whispered. Umbridge is there.

Maybe they know something new? said Ron, turning to look at the three teachers.

Even if there was, we wouldn't know, would we? Harry said angrily.

Relax, brother, even I don't know the situation, I didn't lie to you, Umbridge is much stronger than I imagined. Fan Lin said helplessly.

Since the escape from Azkaban, the Aurors have almost completely surrounded Hogwarts, which makes it really difficult to pass the news.

What time is it after the decree of so-and-so? Harry was referring to a notice that appeared on the school bulletin board the day after the breakout from Azkaban: Orders from the Hogwarts Senior Investigator Teachers Prohibited from providing students with any information unrelated to the teaching content above is Education Act No. 26

This latest decree was passed around as a joke among the students. Lee Jordan pointed it out to Umbridge. Under the new law, she couldn't keep Fred and George from playing with explosives in the back of the room.

Explosive fireworks have nothing to do with Defense Against the Dark Arts, Professor! It has nothing to do with what you're teaching! When Harry saw Lee again, the back of his hand was badly bleeding.

Harry recommended to him Huang Jing and Fan Lin's replacement tool, a layer of simulated skin...

Harry thought that the escape from Azkaban might make Umbridge calm down a little. For the disaster that happened under the nose of her beloved Fudge,

She may feel uneasy.

The only consequence, however, seems to be her more fanatical attempt to bring all aspects of Hogwarts life under her control. She seemed to have decided that there would be a dismissal soon, and the only question was who would go first, Professor Traunie or Hagrid.

Every Divination lesson and Care of Fantastic Beasts lesson is now controlled by Umbridge and her notebook. Lying in ambush by the fire in the incense-filled tower room, she interrupted Professor Traunie's increasingly excited conversation with some extremely difficult divination questions, insisting that she must know the answers before the students answered them. The content of the book requires her to show her talents with crystal balls, tea leaves and ancient aragonites.

Harry thought that Professor Traunie was about to collapse under the pressure. A few times he saw her in the corridor—unusual since she was always in her own room in the tower—talking to herself rudely, with her hands up, looking away in fright, her body radiating. With a smell of sherry.

If Harry didn't have to worry about Hagrid, he'd feel sorry for her—if one of them was going to lose his job, there was only one choice for Harry as to who should stay.

Unfortunately, Harry found that Hagrid was not much better off than Laurie. Although he seemed to have taken Hermione's advice not to show them anything more frightening than a wreck, he had also seemed to have lost all his courage since Christmas.

During class, Hagrid seemed distracted, even a little nervous, lost his train of thought, answered all questions wrong, and always looked at Umbridge uneasily. He and Harry were also estranged, and they were forbidden to see him after dark.

If she catches you, we're all doomed, said Hagrid feebly, not wanting to do anything to jeopardize his job, which certainly included them running into his cabin at night.

As far as Harry was concerned, Umbridge was depriving him of everything that had been a good life at Hogwarts: going to Hagrid's hut, getting letters from Sirius, his Firebolt, and Quidditch. The only action he can take as revenge is to work with Fan Lin to redouble his efforts to train D.A members.

Harry was happy to see everyone, even Zacharias. Smith, after hearing the news of the Death Eaters' escape, trained harder, but neither improved as much as Neville. The news that his parents' attackers had escaped brought about a strange, even startling, change in him.

He never once mentioned to them the meeting at St. Mungo's, and they shared his silence about it. Nor did he mention the escape of Bellatrix and her party.

In fact, Neville seldom spoke at the D.A meeting, but he practiced the defensive technique taught by Fan Lin even more desperately.

His chubby face was distorted by his preoccupation, and he worked harder than anyone else in the room. He'd progressed so fast that when Harry taught a protection spell - a spell that bounced little magic back onto the user - only Hermione mastered it faster than Neville.

In fact, Fan Lin felt that Harry should go all out to learn Occlumency just like Neville did in the d-meeting, so not only the private lessons, but during the D.A training, Fan Lin also focused on Harry. training.

Harry's meeting with Snape, however, continued to go terribly and to no avail. On the contrary, Harry felt that every time he studied, he was going backwards.

Before Harry learned Occlumency, his scar hurt only occasionally, usually at night, or when he had flashbacks of Voldemort and flashbacks to past experiences.
