HP Magic Biography

Chapter 186 King's Station

In the chaos before departure, Harry had no chance to speak to Ron or Hermione or Valin; they were busy moving all their trunks down the narrow stairs of the Leaky Cauldron and back to the gate beside.

Hedwig and Percy's screeching owl, Hermes, were both in their cages, and they were placed at the top of the pack with Van Lin's Wall. Beside the pile of boxes a small wicker basket purred noisily.

It's all right, Crookshanks, Hermione coaxed the cat through the wicker basket, I'll let you out on the train.

Don't let it go, snapped Ron. What about poor Scabbers, huh?

He pointed to his chest, where there was a large lump that meant Scabbers was hiding in Ron's pocket.

Hermione gave Ron a hard look, and Fan Lin hurried up to stand in between the two of them. It's not that time yet for a war or something.

Mr. Weasley, who had been waiting outside for the Ministry car, stuck his head in.

Here comes the car, he said. Harry, come on.

Mr. Weasley forced Harry across the short stretch of pavement, towards the first car. Both were old dark green cars, the first driven by a sly-looking wizard in a bright green velvet suit.

Get in, Harry, said Mr. Weasley, looking around the street. Harry went to the back of the car, followed by Hermione, Valin, and Ron; and, much to Ron's disgust, Percy.

Compared to Harry's experience on the Knight's Bus, the journey to King's Cross was uneventful. The Ministry's cars looked almost nondescript, but Harry noticed that both cars could slide through cracks in the ground, which Uncle Vernon's new car certainly couldn't do.

They arrived at King's Cross station, twenty minutes before the train arrived; the driver of the Ministry of Magic found them a trolley for pushing luggage,

Unloaded their boxes, touched Mr. Weasley with his hand on the brim of his hat, and drove away, somehow jumping to the head of a line of cars that were stuck at a red light.

Mr. Weasley followed Harry until he pulled into the station.

Now, he said, looking around at the students, there are so many of us, so we stand in pairs. I'm the first, and Harry is with me.

Fan Lin felt that this must have something to do with Sirius' escape from prison. People from the Ministry of Magic waited for Harry at the Leaky Cauldron for no reason, and even sent a car to escort him to King's Cross Station.

All of these prove that Harry is the target of Sirius Black. They thought that Sirius wanted to kill Harry, and this also reflected their incompetence. Except for the fact that they discovered Sirius once because of Fan Lin, They couldn't track down Sirius at all, in fact, if Sirius hadn't turned into a black dog, it was so weird, the Ministry of Magic might not even recognize Sirius in his Animagus form.

At least, Fan Lin's changing ferret is not within their cognition, especially Cornelius Fudge, Fan Lin is lying on Harry's shoulder, and he didn't realize that this ferret turned out to be an illegal anima Gus.

Mr. Weasley pushed Harry's luggage cart towards the railing separating platforms 9 and 10, seemingly interested in the Intercity 125 which had just arrived at platform 9. He gave Harry a meaningful look, and leaned casually against the railing. Harry followed his example.

After a while, they passed through the railing and fell onto 934 from the side. They looked up to see the express train to Hogwarts, the scarlet steam locomotive belching smoke over the platform, which was full of wizards and witches sending their children to the train.

Fan Lin and Hermione also followed closely. They seemed to have returned to the first industrial revolution and the age of steam, with a strong sense of history. All of this proves the backward productivity of the wizarding world. Wizards are just a group of people who consume, and they rarely create.

Percy and Ginny suddenly appeared behind Fan Lin. They were panting, and seemed to have run to get over the railing.

Ah, here's Penelope! said Percy, smoothing his hair and blushing again. Ginny met Harry's gaze, and they both turned to hide their smiles, as Percy strode towards a girl with long curly hair. Percy walked with his chest out, allowing her to see his shiny badge at a glance.

Just as everyone was getting into the car, Harry was stopped by Mr. Weasley, and it seemed that some instructions were necessary because of Sirius.

Harry, said Mr. Weasley quietly, come here for a while.

He jerked his head toward a post, and Harry followed him behind it, leaving the others around Mrs. Wesley.

Before you leave, there's something I have to tell you— said Mr. Weasley nervously.

Well, Mr. Weasley, said Harry, I already know.

You know? How did you know?

He's targeting me, isn't he… said Harry, calmly.

Er...Harry, you know... said Mr. Weasley, looking anxious. No—frankly, it's all right. That way, you haven't broken your promise to Fudge, and I know what's going on.

Harry, you must be terrified...

No, said Harry sincerely, really, there's nothing to be afraid of, and he's not the only one trying to kill me. He added, because Mr. Weasley didn't seem convinced.

I'm not trying to be a hero, but seriously, Sirius Black can't be more vicious than Voldemort, can he? Mr. Weasley couldn't help trembling when he heard the name, but he overcame it immediately emotion. Harry, I know you're, well, stronger than Fudge thought, and I'm glad you're not afraid, but...

Arthur! cried Mrs. Weasley, who was now tending these people to the train. Arthur, what are you doing? Time to go!

Here he comes, Molly! said Mr. Weasley. But he turned to Harry again, and whispered even more urgently: Listen, I want you to promise—

—and make sure I'm obedient and stay inside the castle? said Harry gloomily. Not exactly, said Mr. Weasley, looking more serious than Harry had ever seen him. Harry, swear to me you're not going to Black. Harry stared. What? A loud whistle blew. Railroad workers walked along the train and shut all the doors. Promise me, Harry, said Mr. Weasley, speaking more quickly, whatever happens—

Why would I go to someone I know is going to kill me? Harry asked blankly.

Quick, Arthur! cried Mrs. Weasley.

The train spouted steam and began to move. Harry ran to the carriage door, and Ron opened it, letting Harry get in. They leaned out the window and waved to the Weasleys until the train rounded the bend and they were out of sight.

I need to speak to you in private...
