Hogwarts, a History of the School

This is a book in the Hogwarts Library and the most borrowed book.

The book chronicles the history of Hogwarts since its founding, and includes many anecdotes about the four founders, as well as some gossip.

Neither Harry nor Ron ~ read the book, though.

"The legend of the Chamber of Secrets?"

The two looked at each other suspiciously, apparently neither of them had heard this legend.

Hermione had read the entire book, but she couldn't remember some of it, because the book about the Chamber of Secrets was only a little mention, and it was in the form of rumors...

Therefore, Hermione did not care at all at that time, so even if she heard Altaïr mention it, Hermione still did not think of any useful information.

She planned to go to the library later and borrow the book to take a good look.

"Legend has it that Slytherin built a secret chamber inside the school and left something terrifying inside, which some speculate was a terrible monster... According to the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Slytherin once bred a basilisk..."

Altaïr glanced at the little wizards around him and said resolutely:

"So, it is very likely that the one who attacked Lady Lores was a basilisk!"

"Very interesting inference, but... Altaïr, the matter of the Chamber of Secrets is a legend... Hogwarts does not have such a chamber, and the basilisk is very large, if at Hogwarts, it would have been discovered by us. "

Professor McGonagall's voice came from behind him, and Altaïr turned around to find Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape standing behind him.

Apparently what he had just said caught Professor McGonagall's attention.

"I'm sorry, Professor, but I'm just speculating. "

Altaïr did not argue with Professor McGonagall, it was clear that Professor McGonagall did not want to panic the school, because once the existence of the Chamber of Secrets was confirmed, the situation at Hogwarts would become very dangerous, and it might even be possible to listen to the lecture.

"It's okay, you're also trying to find the truth..."

Professor McGonagall looked at Altaïr with a soft smile on her face.

"I still have some things to do... Eat quickly, don't run around after eating, and go back to the lounge together. "

Professor McGonagall finished and left the Great Hall with Snape.

"Come with me to Dumbledore!"

After leaving the Great Hall, Professor McGonagall glanced at Snape, whispered, and hurried away.

Snape's face was also a little heavy, and he followed McGonagall without a word, and the two of them arrived at the headmaster's office one after the other.

"Minerva, Severus... Came to me in such a hurry, is there another attack?"

Dumbledore saw that the faces of the two were not very good, his heart jumped, and he hurriedly asked.

"No, Dumbledore, not yet... But just now, in the auditorium..."

Professor McGonagall told Dumbledore what happened in the Great Hall, and Dumbledore listened to Professor McGonagall's story, his face showed admiration, and for a long time, he sighed:

"Altaïr is such a very smart kid... I think he was right, but I also vaguely guessed... I think the Chamber of Secrets may indeed have been opened again, and the Slytherin heirs have returned to school..."

Dumbledore did not doubt Altaïr, although he easily told the truth, because Altaïr was a Muggle-born wizard and could never be the heir to Slytherin, so it was impossible to open the Chamber of Secrets.

Professor McGonagall's face showed concern, and she whispered:

"If Altaïr's speculation is true, the monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a basilisk... Hogwarts is very dangerous right now, and for the safety of the little wizards, I think we're going to suspend classes for a while and then thoroughly survey every corner of the castle. "

Needless to say, the danger of the basilisk is almost extinct in the wizarding world, and the Ministry of Magic has always had zero tolerance for dark wizards who try to breed basilisks, and will be severely punished once discovered.

Now if anyone knows that there is a basilisk in Hogwarts, let alone the Ministry of Magic, the parents of these little wizards will not let them go.

"Maybe not to that extent..."

Dumbledore comforted McGonagall that now there was only a cat missing, and a ghost petrified, not to the point where it had to be stopped.

"Wait a minute, if you listen to the class now, the impact on Hogwarts will be too great. "

Hogwarts was internationally known as wizarding, and Dumbledore could not let the school's reputation become tarnished under his rule.

"But for the safety of the little wizards, we also need to do something to deal with..."

After eating, Dumbledore appeared in the Great Hall.

He informed all the little wizards of the latest school rules: (Read the violent novel, go to Feilu Fiction Network!)

"All students must return to the common room by six o'clock in the evening, and the prefect will call them..."

"Any student must be accompanied by a teacher in class, and no one can leave the castle without permission..."

"No one is allowed to travel at night, and if discovered, they will be expelled." "

After saying this, Dumbledore showed a kind smile to the little wizards, and he slowly spoke, saying:

"Of course, you don't have to worry too much, the school will find out the truth in the shortest possible time and return the school to normal order..."

Despite Dumbledore's words, the students were still a little worried, and they hurriedly ate their evening meals and returned under the leadership of the prefect.

In the Gryffindor common room, Hermione took the borrowed "Hogwarts, A History of the School" and read it to everyone in the common room:

"Salazar Slytherin and the other three founders disagree on certain points about students..."

He believed that magical education should be limited to magical families, that is... Pure-blood wizards. "

The other little wizards who did not know the legend listened with interest, and those who knew the legend were discussing something in low voices.

"Because of this, Slytherin fell out with the other founders, and he decided to leave Hogwarts, and legend has it that before leaving, he built a secret chamber in the castle and closed it..."

"Until one day, the true descendants of Slytherin will return to Hogwarts, and this heir will open the Chamber of Secrets, release the horrors in it, and purify the school..."

Neville glanced at the little wizards who exclaimed, and asked stupidly:

"Purify the school? What does that mean?"

Hermione glanced at him helplessly and said:

"It means purging those who, in Slytherin's opinion, are not worthy of studying magic... That is, the half-blood wizard..."

"Huh?!"

Neville was taken aback, but after thinking about it, he seemed to be a pure-blood, so he was not so afraid.

"Then you... Aren't you and Altaïr dangerous?"

In the next second, Neville suddenly reacted again, Altaïr and Hermione were both Muggle-born wizards, weren't they also the targets of elimination?

"Now it seems so..."

Hermione put down the book, and as if comforting herself, she said:

"However, it is said that over the generations, the school staff have searched countless times, but they have not been able to find this so-called secret room, and Professor McGonagall said today that the so-called secret room is just a legend. "

Hearing Hermione's words, her roommate Lavender suddenly said:

"Gee, but your little boyfriend, Altaïr of Slytherin, said there was a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets!
