Hogwarts: I can inherit the legacy of the dead

Chapter 99 The movement caused by the Runespoor

In the dark bedroom, three candles were lit on the ground, and the candlelight was swaying on them. The ground was dotted with some kind of special powder, forming a strange pattern.

"The next step is to pour the blood of the Splithorn Sheep into it." Meka took a deep breath. If there is a mistake in the next step, all the material powder on the ground will be in vain, so be very careful with this step.

He poured the bright red sheep's blood out of the cup bit by bit, and formed a special round rune on the ground. This rune had too many details, so with a shake of his hand, everything would start over again.

The flickering candlelight illuminated the sheep's blood dripping from the air, creating a strange atmosphere. The blood splashed on the ground, and then formed a closed-loop 'river' flowing on the ground.

As if affected by the 'temperature' of the candlelight, the bright red sheep's blood began to boil on the ground, with blood-colored foam floating in it, which was a bit strange.

Then, the boiling blood and candlelight strangely merged with the special powder on the ground. Then, some kind of special blood lines appeared on the ground, and the blood light floated.

"The last step." Meka placed a branch of the 'Whomping Willow' harvested tonight in the center of the strange blood-colored lines.

Then, Meka began to recite the incantation. This was a key link in the 'ritual' that would activate the 'power' of the ritual and summon the soul from somewhere to the present world.

"Triona, Shelpi Ring..."

The dim candlelight shone on Meka's face, which seemed a little uncertain, and an obscure spell echoed in the darkness, seemingly continuously.

As Meka chanted the incantation, there were actually "countless" voices chanting together in the darkness. The voices were hazy and distant, as if they were coming from a very far away place.

Finally, on the bloody lines, the blood light gathered in the center, and a blurry and transparent head suddenly rose up from the blank ground. Its eyes were blank to me, and its eyes were green, which looked a bit scary in the blood light.

As its body slowly rose from the ground, soon, in Meka's surprised eyes, a huge and illusory rune snake emerged from the dark dormitory.

It seems to be wandering in the void, with its snake tail swaying behind it, and its three huge heads with bright eyes, emitting glittering light at night, which is very magical.

"Young man." One of the heads of the rune snake turned around and looked at Meka with its lantern-sized eyes, which became extremely deep.

It said gently: "My memory will fade away and return to the time when I was young. I have to trouble you to take care of it. In the 'body', the soul will be nurtured for a short time. After a certain time, my memory will I will come back, and that’s when I will truly ‘recover’.”

Meka nodded in surprise.

He did not expect that in such a strange soul state, the rune snake could briefly wake up, because in the knowledge of 'ritual', this should not be possible.

"Then I'll trouble you," said the old Rune Snake.

After it finished speaking, the deep light in its eyes gradually faded, and its illusory body shrank rapidly, being sucked into the branches of the 'Whomping Willow' in the blood-colored lines on the ground.

Later, during Meka's observation, the branch of the 'Whomping Willow' was squirming strangely, as if it had turned into a snake.

The blood and candlelight reflected on the branches, and the branches actually grew snake skins, snake heads, and snake tails. During a convulsion, the remaining two squeezed out together and swayed in the air.

At this time, the three heads opened their eyes together and stared at Meka in front of them.

"Hiss~~" The very small three-headed snake screamed, its eyes were pure and flawless, like a child.

"Next, just protect the baby snake." Meka smiled.

He stretched out his hand and touched one of the snake heads. Then, the little rune snake made a comfortable sound and stretched its body.

In the brightly lit room, a tall, silver-white old man was reading a book at the table. Suddenly he raised his head and looked out the window. In his pair of silver moon-shaped glasses, the towering Gryffindor Tower in the distance appeared.

"This is..." Professor Dumbledore squinted his eyes, seeming to be deep in thought.

In a girl's dormitory in Gryffindor Tower, a dark brown leather diary gave off a hazy mist, spreading in the darkness.

There were snoring sounds all around, and next to the diary, a girl with long blond hair was sleeping soundly on the bed.

An inexplicable voice came from the dark brown diary, with a certain greedy aura:

"What a wonderful soul. If I could just take a bite..."

As he spoke, hazy black mist poured into the blonde girl's head.

In the middle of the night, the blonde girl stood up unconsciously, holding the diary and looking into the distance outside the window, as if looking for the source of that wonderful smell.

Late at night, Harry and Ron finally came back and 'awoke' Meka in bed.

"It's terrible," Ron cried.

The result of the Flying Car incident has come out. He and Harry were very unlucky and were almost expelled.

Fortunately, Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall vouched for him, so he avoided the 'fate' of being expelled by Snape.

"It was a near miss." Harry was in a better mood, "But he will probably be put in solitary confinement next."

"That's okay." Meka comforted the two of them: "Confinement is not a big deal. It will be over after you get through it. It is better than being expelled."

Because it was too late at night, the two of them were tired, and there were classes the next day.

Then they chatted briefly and went to bed.

Ding!

Amid the rapid ringing of the bell, Meka hurried to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom and found an empty seat to sit down.

He looked up and saw a huge self-portrait where the ‘young’ and energetic new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, was admiring his face in the painting alone, occasionally showing a bright smile.

“Nice to meet you.” As soon as Professor Lockhart spoke, he immediately caused a burst of excited screams from the girls.

He smiled and waved his hand to calm down the voice:

"I know you welcome me, but please allow me to introduce my current identity first."

Lockhart pointed to the "podium" position in this classroom and said with a smile: "As you can see, I will be your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in this new year, teaching you how to protect yourself when facing dark magic. This is very important to me and to all my fans who like me."

The girls in the audience suddenly raised their voices again, and someone took the lead in applauding, causing a commotion.

"It seems that everyone is crazy today." Ron muttered to the side.

Like Ron, the boys in the classroom did not like Gilderoy Lockhart, including Harry.

"I always feel that there is something wrong with this person." Harry stared at Professor Lockhart.

"This guy is really good at creating an atmosphere." Maeka smiled silently.

He suddenly lowered his head and touched his pocket, feeling that the small runes in his pocket were moving, as if he couldn't wait to come out.

"You can't come out now, we're still in class." Maeka thought.

He reached out and stroked the 'young' little snake, finally calming it down.

After talking about many of his own 'merits and honors' and doing another speechless classroom 'test', Professor Lockhart finally stopped and started today's class.

"Today, we will learn how to deal with the most terrible and evil creatures in the world." Professor Lockhart raised his wand and knocked on the cage wrapped in red cloth.

The cage suddenly shook, as if the creature inside was about to come out, and a sharp cry came out of it.

Everyone's eyes were immediately attracted, and Maeka was also observing the cage. When Professor Lockhart took off the red cloth, he saw the appearance of the 'Cornish pixie' he had seen in the book.

This is a kind of elf with green skin and pointed ears the size of an adult's palm. As soon as the red cloth was removed, it seemed that because of the light, a group of Cornish pixies in the cage suddenly screamed wildly.

Some elves were baring their teeth and trying to escape from the cage.

"Cornish elves?" A student asked, he recognized this little creature.

"Is it a terrible and evil creature?" Another boy asked, which immediately caused a lot of ridicule.

Lockhart shook his head and explained with a smile: "Don't underestimate this creature. It is a particularly cunning elf who likes to play pranks. It has caused headaches for many wizards."

"Next, I will show you how to deal with this creature..." He smiled slightly and then opened the cage.

Suddenly, the blue elves in the cage seemed to swarm out, making a manic sound and rushing towards the many students in the classroom at a very fast speed.

There were screams in the classroom, because those elves were simply crazy, jumping on people and scratching and pulling. Some elves were pulling the girl's long hair, and some elves grabbed books and tore the paper to pieces, as if raising a burst of "snowflakes"...

The scene was in chaos, and some students began to run wildly to escape from this classroom.

"Ah!!" Gryffindor's 'Neville Longbottom' was hung by the ears by the blue elf and dragged into the air. He screamed in agony, and his ears were almost torn apart.

"Professor! Professor!" Someone began to shout anxiously, hoping that Professor Lockhart would save him.

Maeka then slapped an elf away with a book. A figure ran past him and left in a hurry. Looking at the back, it was obviously Professor Lockhart who was fleeing in a panic. His wand was taken away by an elf, flying in the air to chase and tease him.

"Really..." Maeka shook his head and laughed. He took out the wand from his arms.

The elf that was slapped away seemed to be very 'grudgeful'. It flew back with several companions and pounced on Maeka's face together. Maeka stared at the elf in front of him who was screaming wildly and was about to take revenge on himself. The wand in his hand was already raised.

Suddenly, "hiss~~", the 'Runespion Snake' in his pocket made a cry.

Maeka felt the right pocket of his robe get hot.

Swish! The blue elf that was flying towards him suddenly stopped, froze in mid-air, and then showed a look of fear.
