Hogwarts: I am Voldemort
Chapter 96 I can’t lift the wand?
After relaxing with Daenerys for a few days, the curse mark caused by drinking the unicorn's blood finally slowly disappeared.
He had originally planned to go back to school directly. After all, the vacation had plenty of time, which was perfect for reading the rich magical books in the Hogwarts library.
However, a sudden letter from Bochis interrupted his trip - the scientific research department had given its final guess.
Hurrying to the third floor of the Riddle Building - the consortium had completely purchased the building - Voldemort couldn't wait to enter the scientific research room, and several scientists who were ready to leave were also waiting here.
"Mr. Riddle, this is Professor Crowley." Porches introduced him.
Voldemort nodded and reached out to shake hands with the tall, balding Professor Crowley.
There was a hint of impatience on Professor Crowley's face, but Voldemort did not blame him for this - as a disciple of Academician Roger Penrose (Royal Academy, London), he had the right to be dissatisfied.
"Let's get to the point quickly, Mr. Riddle."
Before Voldemort could speak, Professor Crowley had already spoken first, "The characteristics of time do not exist. The answer is already in the [Book of Conjectures], and other conjectures are also in the book."
Voldemort nodded, and at the same time picked up the [Book of Speculations] that was thicker than the note he handed to Porches, and turned to the part he mentioned - there was a lot of content, and he was sure it would be difficult to read it all at once.
"Then why do you think that magic exists?"
Voldemort asked while flipping through the [Guess Book], but after waiting for a while, he did not get an answer. He raised his head in confusion...
Professor Crowley was looking at him with a frown. Behind him, the faces of the students who were studying with him also had some impatience on their faces.
"Is there any problem?" Voldemort asked doubtfully.
"I think you can find the answer yourself in the [Book of Guesses], sir." Professor Crowley didn't even bother to call out Voldemort's last name. "Our work is done, and we are leaving."
After he finished speaking, he was about to stand up and leave, but Voldemort stretched out his hand to stop them.
"Have we offended Professor Crowley and his team in any way? Or have we been disrespectful to his teacher?" Voldemort asked Porches.
"No, sir," Porchis replied immediately.
"Do we owe each other any money?"
"No, sir, we paid the full price for Academician Penrose."
"Then our cooperation time is over?"
"No, sir, our cooperation can last up to one year."
Voldemort nodded, looked at Professor Crowley, frowned slightly and said, "Then, dear sir, where are you going?"
"I'm fed up with this damn research." Professor Crowley muttered, "It's all nonsense. I don't understand the point of doing this at all. It's a waste of people..."
"Are you wasting your life worth thirty million?"
Voldemort said in a high-pitched tone, and then suddenly became furious, "Sit back down, all of you. If you don't explain your conjectures clearly, none of you will get out alive."
He was really angry. For this conjecture, he spent 30 million of the consortium's turnover, 30 million pounds in 1991. If he invests in that country, he doesn't know how many times it can be multiplied.
Not only that, he himself was also full of expectations for these conjectures.
But what did these people do?
Their attitude even made Voldemort feel that they were just perfunctory about this job. If this was true, 30 million and his expectations, as well as the future of his magic...
Damn it, am I unable to lift my wand, or are you guys drifting off?
"Sir, let me talk to them." Porchis's face also darkened. He knew the terror of Voldemort.
"I'll give you ten minutes. If I can't convince you, you know what methods I will use." After Voldemort finished speaking, he left without looking back.
If it weren't for the fear that using the memory spell would affect their intelligence - refer to Professor Lockhart - Voldemort would have taken out his wand without hesitation.
But in the end, his respect for scientists still made him choose to endure.
Please believe that cursing has broken Voldemort's most merciful hand. If the opponent was a Death Eater, the Cruciatus Curse would have been cast long ago.
Ten minutes passed in a hurry, and Voldemort returned to the research room with a cold face. The scientists, although they still had some dissatisfaction on their faces, seemed very well-behaved in their actions.
Voldemort did not ask what method Porchis used, he only needed to get the results he wanted.
"Let me explain to you why the repair spell has no space-time characteristics." Professor Crowley said.
Voldemort nodded and listened carefully.
"First of all, you can understand that matter is made up of molecules, ions and atoms, right?" he asked.
"Understood." Voldemort nodded.
"Okay, sir, you know that atoms can be converted into energy through mass-energy conversion, but in essence, atoms will not disappear, and their type, number, and quality will not change."
Voldemort frowned. It was quite a headache to think about these long-standing knowledge hidden deep in his memory.
"They just changed their forms, or in other words, generated new atoms. Can you understand?" Professor Crowley asked again.
"Understood." Voldemort nodded in response.
"So, when something breaks, some of their atoms may be separated from the main body, but they may also be transformed into another type of atoms. Do you understand?"
Voldemort nodded, and Porchis listened quietly.
"Let's not talk about the situation of escaping, just the situation of transforming into another kind of atom."
Professor Crowley gestured and said, "If the repair spell has the characteristics of space and time, then when the broken body is repaired, its previously lost and transformed atoms need to go back and return to the original body."
"You mean...the atoms that have changed and merged into other substances will disappear out of thin air, right?" Voldemort asked.
"Yes." Professor Crowley said, "If the repair spell has space-time properties, that will definitely be the case."
Voldemort nodded, he could already understand what Crowley meant.
"Assuming that this wizarding world exists, and if the repair spell has time-space properties, then when an old enough item is repaired, its former atoms will be summoned back..."
When Professor Crowley said this, he shook his head and smiled, "That is simply a disaster for the wizarding world. Who knows where these atoms have been dispersed. Maybe many wizards will die as a result."
Voldemort nodded and agreed with Crowley's statement. The time and space characteristics of the repair spell have been completely denied scientifically.
