Hogwarts: I am Voldemort
Chapter 521 Magic Network
"I need a little light."
Nick Flamel nodded to Bella, who took out her wand and cast the lighting spell.
"Thanks."
Nick Flamel said, using the light to walk straight towards the huge stone door.
When he came to the stone door, he took out a golden key from his arms and inserted it into the obviously much wider keyhole.
"Boom~~~"
The stone door was slowly pushed open by him, revealing the scenery on the opposite side, which was indeed a cozy cabin.
Voldemort and Bella followed his footsteps into the cozy cabin and saw a woman watering the flowers outside the French window of the cabin.
"Pan Naili, I poured the water in the morning. There is no need to pour it again."
Nick Flamel shouted loudly out the window, but the old woman continued watering without raising her head.
This made Nick Flamel wave his hands in annoyance.
"Pan Naili's ears are even deafer than mine. Hey, she's getting old."
He murmured as if he was explaining to the two of them, but also seemed to be lamenting the passage of time.
Voldemort and Bella looked at each other, but neither of them answered.
They couldn't figure out Nick Flamel's intentions. Voldemort just wanted to know who he was taking him to.
"Let's go to the attic. All the secrets I know are in there."
Nick Flamel gave up communicating with his wife and led the two of them through the cozy cabin and then walked through a long corridor to a studio.
It was filled with utensils and notes lying open on the table.
Obviously, although his eyesight has become dim, Nick Flamel's research on magic items has never stopped.
"Don't touch any utensils, you two. There are many dangers here."
He reminded the two of them, carefully walking through the chaotic studio, and finally came to a steep slope in the corner.
"Ms. Bella, hand me the lamp."
Nick Flamel pointed to an oil lamp not far away and said to Bella.
Bella took the oil lamp and handed it to him, but the latter did not light it, but just carried it up the stairs.
Voldemort and Bella followed closely, climbing up the steep slope and entering the attic of the studio with Nick Flamel.
They couldn't figure out who would live here, but when they entered the attic, they found it was dark and couldn't see anything.
"Fluorescence."
Bella recited the magic spell, but nothing happened, and the attic was still dark.
"In the place where magic originates, Ms. Bella, the spell will temporarily lose its effect."
Nick Flamel's voice sounded, and then after a crisp "click" sound, the oil lamp in his hand slowly lit up.
The oil lamp was not very bright and could barely illuminate the three people and the floor under their feet.
The surroundings of the three of them were still dark. Voldemort frowned and looked at Nick Flamel, not knowing what he was up to.
Just when he couldn't help but want to ask, the light from the oil lamp suddenly floated out.
The light slowly came above the three people and kept rising upwards.
At first both Voldemort and Bella thought it would be fixed at the top, but they soon discovered that was not the case.
The light rose faster and faster, and soon hung in the sky like stars.
Just when the two of them were wondering what was going on, the light suddenly emitted random spots of light around them.
The points of light flashed and passed, like electricity flowing through a wire, but at each passing point of light, a new light appeared.
The new light will also emit light spots and quickly ignite more light.
The light came on very quickly, and it could be said that in an instant, the attic turned into the night sky.
The sky is full of stars twinkling, and the light and darkness are uncertain.
"This is...a magic spell?"
Bella felt the light and asked in surprise.
"Magic spell? No, if you have to use your knowledge to understand it, I think magic text is more appropriate, but in essence, they are not magic text." Nick Flamel said.
"What are those?" Voldemort asked, trying to feel them.
It's a pity that he hasn't had time to adapt to this new body, so his enlightenment was not successful.
"Well...we call it the magic node. I'm talking about the light. As for the whole..."
Nick Flamel's eyes scanned the magic node that seemed to be at the end. After a brief silence, he said, "We call it the magic network."
"Magic Web?" Bella wondered. This was the first time she heard this name.
"Yes, if magic is the language of this world, then the Magic Network is the directory of this language. Of course, it also means a bit of a translator." Nick Flamel nodded.
"The directory, that is to say, all magic, is here?" Voldemort asked.
"The essence of all magic is not magic spells. Just like magic script, it can reflect some magical characteristics, but it is not the magic itself."
Nick Flamel explained, looking at Voldemort through the light emitted by the magic node, "The discussion between you and Albus has reached the essence. I have read the book, it is a very good idea."
Voldemort forced out an awkward smile and said nothing more.
"What do you mean translator?" Bella asked.
"I think His Majesty the Dark Lord should have guessed it, right?" Nick Flamel threw the question to Voldemort again.
"If I'm not mistaken, the so-called translator is a way to make the world's languages—that is, curses—more concise, right?" Voldemort asked.
"Yes, Dark Lord, your talent is really far beyond ordinary people."
Nick Flamel said, looking at Bella and finding that the latter was still a little confused.
"Let me give you a simple example."
As he spoke, he shook the oil lamp whose light had gone out.
"Uh-huh."
A ray of light shot down from the sky, lighting the oil lamp again.
"This represents an infinite number of magic nodes that are difficult to work on their own."
Nick Flamel said, shaking the oil lamp again, and then another light was sucked into it, "This time I added the magic node of 'sound', and the effect of the amplification spell appeared."
The effect did appear. When Nick Flamel spoke, his voice was infinitely amplified by the oil lamp, causing Voldemort and Bella's ears to hurt.
"What does the essence of magic mean?" Voldemort stretched out his hand to signal Nick Flamel to remove this effect, and asked his own question at the same time.
"In the ancient tribal period, only witches could use magic to a limited extent. That was because it was difficult for the world to hear people's voices. Witches were the most special existences, but they were few in number."
Nick Flamel dispersed the light from the oil lamp and explained to Voldemort, “This situation lasted for many years until Death appeared and he created a magic net so that more people with insufficient talent could use magic through it. "
"Death again?" Voldemort couldn't help but frown.
The Elder Wand, the Cloak of Invisibility, the Resurrection Stone, the Department of Mysteries, and his own resurrection, it seems that everything is related to this god.
But who is this damn god who is everywhere?
Why did He do all this?
