Hogwarts: I am Voldemort
Chapter 38 The Lion’s Confusion
"Dumbledore, Quirrell is too messy."
In the principal's office, Professor McGonagall said sternly, "Two grades are taught together, and the courses are chaotic and disorganized. How can such teaching be of any quality?"
Dumbledore smiled and nodded, motioning for Professor McGonagall to eat some biscuits on the plate without saying anything in a hurry.
"Dumbledore, you need to make a statement. The semester has just begun and there is still time to replace someone." Professor McGonagall said dissatisfied.
"Calm down, McGonagall."
Dumbledore had to speak, but his words were still calm.
"Why do you want me to calm down?"
Professor McGonagall's voice became softer, but he was still dissatisfied, "Four colleges, four attitudes, two teaching methods, this is only the senior year, what if..."
Before he finished speaking, the slight shake of his head showed Professor McGonagall's attitude.
"I think he did a good job, McGonagall."
Dumbledore rubbed his temples. He looked a little tired, but he still managed to speak.
"Teaching Ravenclaws, especially the upper classes, doesn't require too much detail, so it's okay to be rough. Hufflepuffs are just the opposite. They need to be treated carefully."
Professor McGonagall was stunned for a moment. From this perspective, there is indeed no problem.
"But what about Slytherin and Gryffindor?" she asked unwillingly.
"Slytherin is a bit special. During the interview, Quirrell mentioned that pure-blood magic is heavy, so I think he is exploring Slytherin's potential."
After hearing this, Professor McGonagall's face suddenly turned ugly - there was a strong tone of pure-blood supremacy in this passage.
"Hey, McGonagall, calm down."
Dumbledore had to remind Professor McGonagall, "The fact is not discrimination, and it does not mean that he is from that side. I am pure blood, and I can understand the difference."
Although Professor McGonagall was not a pure blood, she could still understand the difference and reluctantly nodded, but her face still looked bad.
"As for Gryffindor, we are all Gryffindors, and we know what kind of professor we like, so...he did a good job, didn't he?"
Dumbledore asked back, but Professor McGonagall was obviously still immersed in the previous topic.
"Isn't he?" asked Professor McGonagall. "I mean, he's not that person?"
"no."
Dumbledore shook his head in pain and said, "I used to think so, but there are various signs that he is not, so..."
"..."
Professor McGonagall also fell silent, and the only sound in the room was the sound of Fox pecking his feathers.
"he came."
Dumbledore suddenly spoke, causing the silent Professor McGonagall to raise his head in surprise, "The castle told me that he is here, but I can't find him. This is a headache for me."
"If it's not Quirrell, then it can only be among students, first-year students?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"I have no idea."
Dumbledore picked up the turbid drink in front of him and took a sip. "As I get older, I am always mentally weak. I even doubted Snape for a while..."
"Maybe you need to rest. I'm sorry to disturb you because of Quirrell's teaching." A rare trace of self-blame flashed across Professor McGonagall's face.
"You are the vice principal, this is your responsibility, there is no need for you to blame yourself."
Dumbledore took another sip of the murky drink before he said, "I think he has become smarter. As far as I know this is impossible, but it seems that something happened that I don't know about."
Professor McGonagall nodded and glanced at the evil-smelling book on the principal's desk - [Advanced Black Magic Revealed] - it seemed that the principal had been reading this book a lot recently.
"Are you using a potion?"
Professor McGonagall asked in surprise when her eyes left the book and glanced at the turbid drink in front of Dumbledore.
"A little palliative, Snape can control the dosage, don't worry." Dumbledore waved his hand, as if he didn't want to discuss this topic with Professor McGonagall.
"Is there anything I can do?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"certainly."
Dumbledore said affirmatively, "You have to perform the duties of the deputy principal well, and even take on some of the duties of the principal. Just like before, you can do it well."
Professor McGonagall nodded. He understood that Dumbledore was declining, but she couldn't think of what she could do in this matter.
That man is mysterious, cunning, evil and powerful. Except for Dumbledore, no one is his opponent, and Professor McGonagall knows that he can't do it either.
"Okay, then I won't disturb your rest. Dumbledore, you should pay attention to your rest."
In his farewell words, Professor McGonagall couldn't help but remind him.
"Of course, I cherish life."
Dumbledore smiled and nodded, but the tiredness between his brows could not be covered by his smile.
…
Office on the third floor.
"I don't quite understand, Professor."
Percy frowned and said, "Slytherin won't like me. First-year students are fine. Third-year students have already integrated into Slytherin."
Voldemort nodded, of course he knew this, but he had his own purpose - if he wanted to learn a foreign language well, he needed a corresponding environment, and if he wanted to turn a lion into a snake, the same was true.
"What do I do? Professor," Percy asked for help.
"The position of assistant professor has authority in itself."
Voldemort stood up and poured a glass of boiled water for himself and Percy each, "The next thing to do is to be fair and just. In this way, they have no reason not to accept you."
"But I am Gryffindor, a Slytherin who advocates pure blood..."
Before he could finish his words, Voldemort interrupted: "You are also pure blood."
"Uh..." Percy was speechless for a moment.
"Slytherin worships pure blood, but also worships power and authority, so you really have nothing to worry about."
Voldemort said comfortingly, but this did not make Percy feel relieved, he was still frowning.
"If you have anything to worry about, tell me and maybe I can find a solution." Voldemort said again.
"I do not know what to do."
Percy lowered his head and said in confusion, "Although everyone in the college supports me becoming a prefect, I can see that they are dissatisfied with my discipline. They think I am too rigid."
Voldemort nodded, this was indeed a problem.
There is no doubt about Percy's magical talent and strength, but he has a big problem in the application of his rights, that is, he is too rigid.
This has something to do with his character and the person he admires - Barty Crouch. He admires the former Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He is a resolute and meticulous figure.
But obviously, his tricks are not tolerated at Hogwarts.
"I can't fundamentally change you through words, Percy, but I can give you some advice." Voldemort said after thinking deeply.
Percy immediately raised his head and looked at Voldemort expectantly - he had been really confused recently and even wanted to find some rights books, but he didn't know if they would be useful.
"Does Dumbledore have rights?" Voldemort asked.
"Of course, Mr. Dumbledore is the Headmaster, he is at Hogwarts..."
Voldemort waved his hand and interrupted him.
"What I'm asking is, does Principal Dumbledore have authority in the entire wizarding world?"
Percy blinked, and then shook his head quickly - Dumbledore was just the headmaster, and his power lay in Hogwarts, not in the wizarding world.
"But he can influence the entire wizarding world, not just England, but even the entire Europe, and even the world."
When Voldemort said this, the same light flashed in Percy's eyes.
"Permission is only the smallest part of power." Voldemort said seductively, "Relying on the power given by authority to lead others is the most mediocre leader."
"Then... what should we rely on?" Percy asked impatiently, "Is it influence? Like the principal."
"No."
Voldemort shook his head firmly, then pointed his wand at his chest.
"It's the human heart, Percy. Only the human heart is the root of power."
I wrote some characters that may not be liked by so many people, such as Percy, Malfoy, and the future Decorah and his aunt. I am trying to re-deconstruct Harry Potter and build on the foundation of this world. on, to create a story that does not deviate from the original work, but is exciting enough. Unfortunately, I do not have a recommendation position. Let’s continue with Hard Steel. The road is long and long...
