Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#96 - Chapter 96 No One Understands This Magic Better Than Me

He took the bait!

The plan I discussed with Dumbledore can finally be implemented!

Stealing the Philosopher's Stone is a facade; gaining Quirrell's trust is the real goal.

Sebastian adjusted his facial expression, then turned around, smiling, and asked, "Have you considered it, Professor Quirrell?"

Quirrell did not directly answer Sebastian's question, but instead posed the question that had puzzled him for a long time.

"As the wealthiest person in the wizarding world, possessing countless riches, why would you need the Philosopher's Stone? You must be joking with me."

Sebastian had anticipated Quirrell's question and produced the answer he had prepared.

"Besides being a professor, I have always been a businessman. And a businessman will never think he has too much money."

"If I could turn stone into gold, I wouldn't have to work hard for the rest of my life, and I could maintain my position as the wealthiest person."

"Alas, you've never been the wealthiest person; you wouldn't understand the feeling even if I explained it to you."

After hearing these words, Quirrell secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

What a money-grubbing fellow!

He disregards his reputation for money, even contemplating theft!

What is he thinking!

But it doesn't matter, as long as he's not targeting the back of my head.

Relieved, Quirrell continued to pose the second question: "You could steal the Philosopher's Stone yourself, why do you need to cooperate with me?"

Sebastian looked into Quirrell's eyes and said frankly, "You know, in the education world, I am a respected Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts."

"In the business world, I am an influential businessman and philanthropist."

"In the sports world, I am a popular Quidditch star."

Quirrell was completely baffled, unable to figure out what Sebastian was trying to say with all his rambling.

It wasn't until he heard the sentence "Reputation is very important to me; I need to maintain the cleanliness of my identity" that Quirrell finally understood Sebastian's unspoken meaning.

He's waiting for me here.

He wants me to do the dirty work.

If something goes wrong, I'll take all the blame. How could you!

Having figured this out, Quirrell felt somewhat displeased: "Then why should I cooperate with you? Wouldn't it be better for me to do it myself?"

Sebastian smiled confidently: "You may not know, Professor McGonagall and I are very close, Professor Flitwick is both a teacher and a friend to me, and even Snape is my close friend."

"Therefore, I can easily find out information about the obstacles from the professors, which you wouldn't be able to do even if you worked yourself to death."

"Oh, right," Sebastian revealed an expression that he had Quirrell completely under his control: "You've seen the three-headed dog, haven't you?"

"Then you should have noticed a door at its feet, that's the alchemical item I provided."

"Any magic cast on it will make a huge noise. To open it, you can only solve the puzzle on the door."

"Although it's just a math problem from the Muggle world, you probably can't even understand the question, let alone the answer."

"And if you make a mistake once, the alarm will sound, and your plan to steal the Philosopher's Stone will fail."

"If you cooperate with me, I can directly tell you the answer and help you find out about the other professors' obstacles. I can also help you cover up and create an alibi."

Sebastian's words made Quirrell somewhat tempted, and he quickly weighed the pros and cons in his mind.

Quirrell thought for a moment and blurted out, "Then tell me, what's the answer to the obstacle you set up?"

A trace of disdain flashed in Sebastian's eyes.

He wants to freeload?

What a daydream!

Sebastian slowly approached Quirrell and said with a slightly oppressive tone, "Professor Quirrell, are you dreaming? We haven't even cooperated yet."

A trace of embarrassment appeared on Quirrell's face, but he never directly responded to Sebastian.

Sebastian continued, his tone becoming more gentle: "However, you don't need to make a decision now. Friendly reminder, Dumbledore hasn't put the Philosopher's Stone in yet, so you can take your time to consider."

"But I want to make it clear that if you want to become my ally, you must show me your ability."

"Although I need an ally, I don't want teammates with poor strength and brains."

With that, he took out a notebook from his arms and gently placed it on Quirrell's desk, which recorded relevant information about the magic of love.

Then, Sebastian turned and left. Before stepping out of the office door, he stopped, looked back at Quirrell, who was still in a daze, and said faintly, "You can come to me anytime when you've thought about it."

Quirrell watched Sebastian leave, his heart in great turmoil.

Too much information!

I need to think about it carefully.

Just as he was sorting out his thoughts, Voldemort in the back of his head spoke: "Agree to his request... I need you to get the Philosopher's Stone as soon as possible!"

"Master, but I don't understand this magic of love."

Voldemort said weakly: "Let me do it, no one understands this magic better than me..."

After the Quidditch match, Harry, Ron, and Hermione followed Hagrid to his hut.

As soon as they entered, Ron couldn't help but shout at Harry, "Harry, the danger you encountered in the sky was because Snape was cursing you!"

"I've always thought there was something wrong with this professor. He always has a dark face and picks on students in class."

"And I heard Percy and the others say that Professor Snape used to hate Gryffindor students the most..."

"Ron!" Before Ron could finish his opinion, Hermione interrupted him: "We don't have any evidence, so we can't jump to conclusions easily."

"Professor Snape is very strict, but he treats all the houses equally and doesn't target Gryffindor. Fred and George said that Professor Snape has become fairer since last year."

Ron looked at Hermione with disdain, with an expression of disagreement: "You're actually speaking up for him! You clearly saw him casting a spell."

Hermione had a hesitant expression, she did see Snape casting a spell, but she always felt that something was wrong.

After all, Harry's preferential treatment in Potions class was obvious to all, and she didn't believe that a professor would attack his own student in public.

Harry found it somewhat laughable to hear the two arguing red-faced.

How is that possible?

Professor Snape would harm himself?

"Impossible, absolutely impossible! If Professor Snape wanted to harm me, he would have had plenty of opportunities during the summer vacation, why would he drag it out until now?"

"Ron, this is your prejudice against Slytherin!"

"In short, I absolutely don't believe that Professor Snape would harm me."

Ron was a little anxious, he grabbed Hagrid's clothes and asked, "Hagrid, you tell me, you were there at the time!"

Hagrid said hesitantly: "I believe the professors wouldn't harm Harry, but as for the Slytherins, Harry, you'd better be vigilant."

Seeing that the three children were about to quarrel again, Hagrid quickly stopped them: "Don't argue, everyone. Harry didn't encounter any danger, did he?"

"Let's all try some of my rock cakes..."
