Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#260 - Chapter 260: Huh? There seems to be a flaw

Watching the Dementor pinned against the wall, the surrounding young wizards opened their mouths wide.

The atmosphere of the entire dueling hall seemed to freeze in an instant, all the students holding their breath, staring unblinkingly at the silvery-white Patronus.

After a moment of silence, bursts of exclamations erupted from the crowd.

"Merlin's beard, Neville Longbottom actually defeated many high-achieving older students and became the first person to face a Dementor and cast a Patronus."

"No wonder he had the courage to stand up directly just now, so he really has some skills."

"Can someone tell me how this little guy did it? I can't even muster a trace of happy emotions in front of a Dementor."

"Neville is too awesome, that little hedgehog Patronus is small, but I didn't expect it to be so powerful."

"Stop embarrassing yourself, the professor has said many times that the power of the Patronus has no direct relationship with its size."

Sebastian smiled slightly, clapping his hands, looking at Neville with a bit of appreciation and approval.

Excellent!

The young man is finally becoming brave.

Sure enough, if you want this little guy to grow quickly, you must first find him a clear goal.

"Congratulations, Neville! He is the first person tonight to successfully cast a Patronus while facing a Dementor! Very good! Let us applaud him!"

He stepped forward, patted Neville on the shoulder, and then gave him a thumbs up.

"I like that firm will you had just now, remember that feeling, and your spell level will greatly improve."

"Alright, put away your Patronus, don't abuse our teaching tools anymore."

Neville's face turned red, he put away his Patronus, and walked to the rest area with his head down amidst the applause of the crowd.

Malfoy clapped absentmindedly, his eyes fixed on Neville, his heart churning with complex emotions.

This usually inconspicuous little nobody actually accomplished a feat that many top students had failed to do in front of everyone.

I have to admit that Neville has surpassed me in terms of the Patronus.

At least, I have no confidence in successfully casting a Patronus Charm in front of a Dementor.

Could it be that I haven't practiced hard enough to be surpassed by him?

Damn it!

So unwilling...

He tried to suppress the unwillingness in his heart, and nudged Ron next to him with his elbow, saying sourly.

"Weasley, are you sure this is Longbottom, that timid, clumsy Longbottom?"

"It couldn't be someone impersonating him, right? I'm not familiar with him, help me confirm it."

Ron was also full of disbelief, he hadn't recovered from the shock.

He rubbed his eyes hard, looked at Neville talking to the older students, and nodded with a complex expression.

He opened his mouth, as if wanting to say something, but in the end, he only managed to squeeze out one sentence: "It's him... but... how did he do it, I don't know!"

"To be honest, I've also felt like he's changed into a different person recently."

Ron's voice was full of incomprehension, and his mood was as complicated as Malfoy's.

He had always firmly believed that he was stronger than Neville, but he didn't expect that this friend had unknowingly surpassed most people.

He looked at Neville, who was surrounded by many older students asking for tips, and his envy was beyond words.

If only I were standing there...

Ron's mind was racing, and he began to think about the feasibility of this idea.

After being attacked by a Patronus, the Dementor should be injured, right?

He looked at the Dementor floating in the corner and found that it had become much weaker than before.

There's a chance!

His eyes suddenly lit up, and even his heartbeat quickened a bit.

The Dementor has been tired for a long time, and coupled with the injury it just suffered, now is its weakest moment.

If I step forward to challenge it at this time, wouldn't I be able to pick up a big bargain and become the second person to successfully deal with the Dementor tonight!

In that case, I can laugh at Fred and George and finally show off.

Thinking of this, he raised his hand high and shouted loudly: "Professor, I also want to challenge the Dementor!"

"Weasley," Malfoy scanned Ron up and down and said in surprise, "Are you out of your mind?"

"Ron," Hermione frowned slightly, "You have to be careful."

Harry also sent his blessings: "Ron, good luck!"

Ron looked at his companions and confidently raised his eyebrows.

Watch me!

He walked out of the crowd, stood confidently in front of the Dementor, and raised his wand in preparation.

Feeling that another student had come in front of it, the Dementor immediately stood ready.

It hurts!

It hurt so much to be hit by the Patronus just now.

What's even more distressing is that a lot of the delicious food I ate tonight was vomited out.

I have to admit that these students are quite powerful.

It seems that I have to work harder!

After hearing the starting command, it used all its strength to suck at Ron fiercely.

In an instant, the hand Ron was waving the wand with froze in the air, and his face turned white visibly.

"Exp... Expecto... Patronum..."

He felt his body getting softer and softer, and he couldn't shout out the spell in his mouth no matter what.

How could this be?!

Where did all my happy emotions go?

This feeling is much more terrifying than that time on the Hogwarts Express when school started.

So, this is the reason why Percy and the others failed.

Before he was about to fall, he heard Sebastian's voice: "Challenge failed!"

Suddenly, the feeling of being absorbed of happiness completely disappeared, Ron suddenly came back to his senses and began to breathe heavily.

He wanted to pick up a bargain, but now he's embarrassed himself in front of everyone.

Unsurprisingly, he's going to become a laughingstock.

He lowered his head, preparing to face the ridicule of the crowd.

Looking at Ron who was about to break down, Sebastian said gently.

"Although Ron's challenge failed, his courage is worth learning from."

"After all, failure is not terrible, it is terrible if you don't even have the courage to challenge."

"Everyone comfort this brave young man and give him some encouragement."

Hearing the professor's words, the young wizards who were originally preparing to tease Ron were immediately a little ashamed and spoke up one after another.

"Ron, good job!"

"Don't be discouraged, you will definitely succeed next time."

"Come on!"

Hearing everyone's encouragement, Ron slowly raised his head, thanked Sebastian, took the chocolate, and walked to the rest area.

Ron's performance seemed to have given the remaining young wizards a boost, and the young wizards, not wanting to be outdone, raised their hands one after another, rushing forward.

Harry and Malfoy exchanged firm glances with each other, secretly competing in their hearts, thinking about becoming the next hero to defeat the Dementor.

This silent competition spread among the students, and everyone was desperately gathering strength in their hearts, wanting to prove themselves this night.

Gradually, Percy, Cedric, the twins, and Harry found a way to learn how to mobilize the power of their hearts when facing the Dementor.

In the end, they all successfully cast Patronuses and completed their revenge on the Dementor.

Nearing the end, Sebastian shook his head slightly, looking at the miserable Dementor.

He waved his wand, collecting the happy emotions that the students had scattered in the air of the dueling hall, and fed them to the Dementor all at once.

This teaching tool is quite dutiful, and it must be properly maintained.

We can't let the students ruin it......
