Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#224 - Chapter 224: Fudge the Wronged

Minister for Magic Fudge?

Harry quickly put away his wand, pretending to be nonchalant.

Young wizards are forbidden from using magic during the holidays. Using magic secretly in wizarding families is fine, but doing so in front of the Minister is another matter entirely.

He didn't want to be caught by Fudge and get into trouble.

"Sebastian, I heard that Harry Potter is staying at your house now?" Fudge's voice came from afar, "I've come to visit him."

Looking for me?

Harry looked at Fudge walking towards him with Sebastian, his face full of doubt.

What could the Minister for Magic want with a young wizard like him?

"Harry, I am Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic," Fudge extended his right hand to Harry, looking very amiable.

Harry quickly reached out and shook Fudge's hand: "Hello, Minister Fudge, it's a pleasure to meet you. Is there something you need me for?"

"I've come on behalf of the Ministry of Magic to see you. I originally thought you would be staying at your aunt's house, but it's not very safe there now."

Fudge said with a smile: "This place has top-notch magical protection. You're very safe staying here, which is the most important thing right now."

So that's it.

Minister Fudge is worried that Sirius Black will go to his aunt's house to cause trouble.

Indeed, as a former friend of his parents, it's normal for that person to know where his aunt lives.

Now it seems that leaving his aunt's house was a good thing after all.

If he can't find him, that person shouldn't harm his aunt and uncle.

"Harry, were you practicing spells just now?"

Fudge smiled and patted Harry on the shoulder, like an elder.

Crap!

He's been discovered by the Minister. Will he be expelled?

"I... I was just exercising a bit," Harry stammered.

"What a diligent child! That's good, it's always good to practice magic diligently."

"Huh?" Harry asked blankly, "I thought you were going to punish me."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Harry regretted it.

It seems that Minister Fudge doesn't mind, why did he have to bring it up?

Who did he learn this habit of speaking too quickly from...

"Punish?" Fudge blinked in confusion.

"I mean..." Harry hesitated, "I violated the Decree for the Restriction of Underage Wizardry. Underage students shouldn't use magic during the holidays."

"Hahahaha—" Fudge laughed heartily, "The Ministry of Magic wouldn't punish you for such a small matter."

"Different situations require different treatment."

"If it were a young wizard living in the Muggle world, they would receive a warning letter."

"After all, without the supervision of an adult wizard, it's easy for underage wizards to expose the magical world by using magic."

"But you're living at Swan Manor now. No one will care if you use magic here."

Hearing this, Harry felt relieved and took the opportunity to ask, "Minister, is there any news about Sirius Black?"

Fudge's smile froze slightly.

"Well... we don't have any news about that lunatic for the time being."

"But don't worry, it's only a matter of time before we catch him."

"Of course, before we catch him, I hope you stay here. You can understand our good intentions, right?"

"Okay, you continue to practice your spells here. Sebastian and I will have a few words."

Fudge smiled, shook hands with Harry again, and then followed Sebastian into the living room.

He sat on the sofa and said with a sigh: "Who would have thought that Black, as James's best man and Harry's godfather, would betray them and join the Dark Lord's ranks."

"But for a lunatic like that, nothing is impossible. He didn't even spare his friend, Peter Pettigrew."

"I still remember the day we caught him. The scene was truly horrific."

"Corpses were lying everywhere, and Muggles were wailing all around. Black was just standing there, laughing maniacally."

"Thinking about it now, I still feel a chill down my neck."

"Sebastian," Fudge picked up his teacup and took a sip, "I'll say one more thing."

"You must keep a close eye on Harry Potter and not let him go out alone. Even if he goes to Diagon Alley, you must go with him."

"After all, no one can guarantee that that lunatic won't be crazy enough to attack in Diagon Alley."

"Don't worry," Sebastian smiled slightly, "Harry's safety is absolutely guaranteed."

"By the way, Minister, I heard that Black escaped from Azkaban the day after you went to inspect it."

Hearing this, Fudge's face turned as black as coal: "Indeed, it's a disaster!"

"Now there are rumors about me everywhere, and some unscrupulous tabloid reporters are even speculating that Black was able to escape successfully because I provided him with the opportunity."

"It's a terrible injustice!"

Fudge complained with a look of frustration: "We all know how terrible Azkaban is."

"But as Minister, I must fulfill my duty and inspect it regularly."

"During the inspection, Black actually wanted the Daily Prophet in my hand, saying he wanted to do the crossword puzzle on it to pass the time."

"I felt sorry for him, so I casually threw the newspaper to him."

"Who knew what he saw in the newspaper? He escaped that very night."

"According to our subsequent investigation," Fudge's expression was full of helplessness, "the prisoners said that after I left, that lunatic kept shouting, 'He's at Hogwarts! He's at Hogwarts!'".

"Because of this, everyone is saying that there was something hidden in the newspaper I gave him, so he was able to escape successfully."

"Don't you think I'm being wronged?!"

Fudge was full of helplessness.

Since Black escaped, his reputation has plummeted.

But Black is as slippery as an eel, and he can't be caught for the time being.

Therefore, he urgently needs to do something to improve this situation.

Unfortunately, his subordinates are somewhat incompetent and have not been able to help him improve the situation so far.

In desperation, Fudge thought of Sebastian, this amazing person.

The press conferences about the Wolfsbane Potion and the Norwegian Ridgeback really helped him gain a lot of prestige.

"Sebastian," Fudge looked at Sebastian, his eyes full of anticipation, "Can you help me turn around my reputation?"

Hearing this, Sebastian raised his eyebrows almost imperceptibly.

Asking him for help?

It seems that Fudge is very anxious.

Looking closely, Fudge does show signs of being stressed.

Sebastian pondered slightly and said to Fudge.

"The best way is to catch Black immediately."

"If that's not possible, you can make a fuss about Azkaban."
