Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King
#195 - Chapter 195 Animagus Transformation
Although he had decided on a dragon as his Animagus form, he still needed to carefully consider which type of dragon to choose.
In the magical world, there were many types of dragons, such as the Norwegian Ridgeback, the Hungarian Horntail, the Chinese Fireball, the Antipodean Opaleye, the Ukrainian Ironbelly, and so on, each with its own unique characteristics.
After a detailed comparison, Sebastian focused his attention on two specific dragons.
The first was the Ukrainian Ironbelly.
This was the largest and strongest of all known dragons, with thick scales that gave it extremely high physical defense, making it almost invulnerable in direct physical confrontations.
The second was the Norwegian Ridgeback.
The Norwegian Ridgeback was known for its tough scales and high resistance to magic.
This dragon was not only physically powerful, but its scales could also resist most spells, and even reflect some magical attacks. This made it one of the most magically resistant candidates among all dragons.
Considering that the larger the size, the higher the demand for a wizard's magic power during Animagus transformation, Sebastian chose the Norwegian Ridgeback as his transformation target.
Now, the Norwegian Ridgeback, Norbert, finally had a use.
Sebastian arrived at the dragon rearing grounds and found that this little dragon spent its days eating and sleeping, and sleeping and eating.
In just one short year, its size had increased greatly, almost as large as an adult dragon, and its life couldn't be more comfortable.
So he felt at ease drawing two large tubes of dragon blood from Norbert to conduct blood processing experiments.
After Norbert's blood was almost processed, Sebastian began preparing for the Animagus transformation.
On a full moon night, Sebastian put a mandrake leaf in his mouth.
He originally thought it would be a simple task, but Sebastian soon realized the difficulty involved.
He had to be careful and chew slowly when eating, for fear of accidentally chewing and swallowing the leaf.
Even sleeping was affected; Sebastian had to be careful not to spit out or swallow the leaf unconsciously.
To save trouble, he directly used magic to stick the leaf tightly to his upper palate, which no longer affected his normal life.
However, with a foreign object in his mouth, it would constantly stimulate saliva secretion.
Too much saliva was secreted, and he even started drooling in his sleep.
How embarrassing!
Fortunately, Mia didn't mind.
Sebastian kept complaining in his heart.
If it weren't for turning into a dragon, he wouldn't have suffered this.
A month passed in the blink of an eye, and when the full moon was high in the sky again, Sebastian took out the mandrake leaf.
He took out a small crystal bottle, filled it with saliva, and soaked the leaf in it, allowing it to absorb the pure moonlight.
Sebastian plucked a strand of hair and put it into the crystal bottle along with the special dew and the death's-head hawkmoth pupa that he had prepared.
Under the catalysis of the moonlight, some indescribable subtle changes took place in the mixed liquid in the bottle.
If you want to turn this bottle of mixed solution into a real potion, its storage conditions are also very harsh.
Since sunlight pollution will cause the solution to fail, it must be stored in a dark, quiet place and cannot be looked at again until the next thunderstorm.
So, Sebastian first put the crystal bottle in a special box, and then found a special place in the Forbidden Forest to bury the box deep underground.
After doing all this, Sebastian was very happy.
He was lucky. If it had been cloudy today, the mandrake leaf could not have been used, and he would have had to wait for the next full moon night and repeat the above steps.
There are very few Animagi in the magical world, probably because this step is too complicated.
In the days that followed, every sunrise and sunset, Sebastian had to point his wand at his heart and recite the spell: "Amato, Animo, Animato, Animagus."
Gradually, when reciting the spell, Sebastian felt a second heartbeat.
At this point, the preparation work for the Animagus was completely over. In the days that followed, he only needed to continue to recite the spell regularly and wait for the storm to come.
This time was not fixed, and could last for weeks or even months.
Extensive records showed that storms induced by weather charms did not well support Animagus transformations, and everything had to be based on nature.
There was nothing Sebastian could do but let nature take its course and wait day and night for the storm to come.
Winter storms were extremely rare, and it wasn't until the Easter holidays that he waited for the first thunderstorm covering half of England.
As a thunderbolt tore through the sky, torrential rain poured down, and Sebastian took Mia directly to the burial site of the crystal bottle.
He waved his wand, and the soil on the ground surged out. Soon, the small box containing the crystal bottle flew out of the ground and landed in Sebastian's hand.
He opened the box and took out the crystal bottle, and found that the originally turbid mixed solution had turned into a crystal clear blood red.
"Impervious to water and fire!"
After confirming that no rain would contaminate the potion in the bottle, Sebastian took out the dragon blood that had been processed long ago, as well as the juice of bloodroot.
He opened the potion bottle, mixed the juice of bloodroot into it, and then added a teaspoon of dragon blood.
Instantly, the potion in the bottle reacted violently until it completely stopped, turning into a deeper, darker red.
Success!
The appearance of the potion was exactly the same as the theoretical deduction.
Next, success or failure depends on this one move!
"Sebastian," Mia said with concern, "Feel free to try."
"With me here, even if your experiment fails, I can save you."
Facing Mia's concerned eyes, Sebastian nodded solemnly.
He didn't set himself a Flag that he would definitely succeed, but took a deep breath, held his wand against his heart, and slowly recited the spell that he was more than familiar with.
"Amato, Animo, Animato, Animagus."
Along with the strange tones, the spell slowly echoed in the dense forest, corresponding with the sound of thunder and the messy sound of rain.
Sebastian no longer hesitated, put the potion in the bottle to his mouth, and raised his head to drink it all.
What a strange taste!
As the liquid slid into his throat, Sebastian only felt a warmth flowing through his body, but soon, this warmth began to turn into scorching heat, as if flames were burning in his blood vessels.
Before Sebastian could think too much, the image of a dragon appeared out of thin air in his mind.
Very good!
The dragon blood was processed perfectly, and there was no violent consciousness or emotion recorded in the notes. Everything was dominated by his own consciousness.
Let's transform into a dragon in one breath!
