Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King
#193 - Chapter 193: Basilisk Exhibition
Inside the third-floor lavatory, the Auror training class students were reluctant to leave, anxiously awaiting news from the two professors.
Harry stood among the crowd, his face filled with anxiety, constantly peering towards the entrance of the Chamber.
Ever since the two professors went down, Moaning Myrtle had been incessantly recounting the story of her death, which only amplified Harry's unease.
The basilisk's eyes were extremely dangerous, capable of causing instant death with a single glance.
How would the professors deal with the basilisk?
Would they have to fight it blindfolded?
But if they did that, how could they accurately respond to the basilisk's attacks?
It was truly worrying...
The two professors who had gone down were the closest and most trusted professors he had at Hogwarts, and he was unwilling to see them suffer even the slightest harm.
Just as Harry was lost in thought, he heard the sound of wizarding robes fluttering within the pipes.
His eyes lit up, and he immediately straightened up, staring intently at the opening.
Soon, two figures flew out of the pipe opening, none other than Sebastian and Snape.
They were riding on flying broomsticks, their expressions calm and composed, as if they had just completed a routine task.
Great, both professors seemed to be safe and sound.
Harry's hanging heart finally settled down.
Before he could even ask the two professors for details, he saw a massive basilisk slowly rising from the pipes.
Although the basilisk's eyes were covered by blindfolds, its enormous figure within the ice crystals still shocked everyone present.
Looking at the basilisk before her, Professor McGonagall felt a wave of lingering fear for the students.
On Halloween night, only Filch's cat had been petrified; not a single young wizard had been harmed.
It was truly a blessing from Merlin!
At this moment, the young wizards' eyes were wide as saucers, and they exclaimed in surprise.
"Merlin's beard! Is that... a basilisk?! Is it dead?"
"That's terrifying! It's so huge! How did the professors defeat it?"
"Mummy! If I had encountered it on Halloween night, I would have died on the spot! I wouldn't even need to look into its eyes; I'd be scared to death."
......
The young wizards were chattering excitedly, and some of the bolder ones even stepped forward, trying to observe all the details of the basilisk up close.
Hearing everyone's comments, Sebastian jumped off his flying broomstick and replied with a smile.
"The basilisk isn't dead, but it's in a deep sleep and won't wake up for a while, so don't worry."
"It's too crowded in the lavatory, so I'll take the basilisk to the open space in front of the castle so everyone can get a clear look."
With that, Sebastian waved his wand, leading the basilisk outside.
In an instant, the entire Hogwarts was in an uproar.
The news spread like wildfire throughout the castle, and students from all corners flocked towards the open space in front of the castle like a tide.
The basilisk's massive body looked particularly ferocious under the sunlight, and although its frozen body was motionless, its innate power still frightened the surrounding students.
They were all discussing how this behemoth had survived in the Chamber of Secrets for thousands of years and how the professors had subdued it.
Scanning the surrounding students, Sebastian raised his wand and gently waved it, causing the basilisk to land smoothly on the ground.
The ice crystals on its body also disappeared, and its scales emitted a cold, metallic luster under the sunlight.
"Attention, everyone!" Sebastian's voice rang out in the open space, carrying a hint of undeniable authority.
"This basilisk is still asleep. You can observe it, but do not approach it, and especially do not try to touch it, particularly its blindfold."
To prevent any mischievous young wizards from ignoring his warnings and recklessly attempting to flip the basilisk's blindfold, Sebastian waved his wand and drew a circle around the basilisk.
This way, any wizard under the age of 20 who entered it would be immediately bounced out.
After doing all this, Sebastian went to the edge of the crowd and began chatting with the arriving professors from various subjects.
Professor Kettleburn did not join the professors' discussion but instead walked straight to the basilisk's side with Hagrid.
They kept stroking the basilisk's scales, making the surrounding young wizards envious.
.......................
After an afternoon of exhibitions and media interviews, Sebastian sent the basilisk to a serpentine magical creature farm under the Svan Alchemy banner in the evening.
Back home in the evening, after washing up, Sebastian lazily lay on the sofa, resting his head on Mia's lap.
He said with a bit of coquetry, "I'm so tired today. Please massage my head, or I won't be able to hold on."
Mia smiled, looked down at his blissful expression, and began to gently knead his temples with her fingertips.
"The Auror training class you lead is really amazing! You can even find Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets."
"Of course!" Sebastian hummed smugly, "Don't you know who I am? Finding a Chamber of Secrets is a piece of cake."
He opened his eyes, turned over to find a more comfortable position on Mia's lap, and said with a twinkle in his eye.
"I don't mind telling you, we also found Slytherin's notebook in the Chamber."
Mia became interested, stopped her hand movements, and a hint of curiosity and surprise flashed in her eyes: "Notebook? What's written on it? Is it Slytherin's unique skill?"
"It records all the experimental steps of Slytherin's improvement of Animagus."
Sebastian deliberately slowed down his speech, anticipating her reaction.
"Animagus?" Mia's interest was completely piqued.
Her eyes lit up, and she asked questioningly, "How is he going to improve it? Is it to increase the success rate of Animagus?"
Sebastian couldn't help but laugh and reached out to gently pinch Mia's chin.
"Slytherin's goal is much higher. He wants to transform wizards into powerful magical creatures by improving Animagus."
"Did he succeed?"
"Unfortunately," Sebastian's voice was a little sighing, "Slytherin failed."
"However, I decided to continue the research based on his notebook. After all, transforming into a magical creature is too tempting."
Hearing this, Mia asked worriedly: "Is it okay? If Animagus fails, it's easy to become a monster."
"St. Mungo's has many patients hospitalized due to Animagus transformation failures. Those people just wanted to become ordinary animals."
"You want to become a magical creature, wouldn't the risk be even higher?"
Hearing this, Sebastian grasped Mia's hand and comforted her softly.
"Don't worry, I won't joke with my own life. If I don't have 100% certainty, I won't act rashly."
"You'll see when the time comes!"
"Enough talk, continue to massage me."
With that, Sebastian closed his eyes again, immersed in Mia's gentle massage.
