Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#191 - Chapter 191 Unveiling the Secret Chamber

So fast?!

Snape looked at Sebastian's smug face in astonishment.

It hasn't even been three minutes, and he's already dealt with the Basilisk?

You've got to be kidding me. I just heard the giant snake roar.

With a doubtful look, Snape followed Sebastian into the Chamber of Secrets.

Sebastian had already installed a large number of magical lamps on the ceiling of the Chamber of Secrets, so every detail could be seen clearly.

As soon as he entered the Chamber, Snape's eyes were drawn to the frozen Basilisk.

So big?!

It looks even bigger than the snake's shed skin from earlier.

He looked at the frozen behemoth with surprise and doubt on his face.

The air was thick with the scent of the Water of Life and Death.

So, the Basilisk is currently asleep.

Snape silently calculated in his mind how long it would take him to take down this giant serpent.

Soon, his face darkened.

He realized that unless he went all out and directly killed the Basilisk, he might have been able to defeat the giant snake in such a short time.

But capturing the Basilisk alive in such a short time was simply impossible with his current level.

Damn it, how can the difference between my strength and that stinky swan be so great!

"Severus, what are you daydreaming about?" Sebastian interrupted Snape's thoughts. "Come on, let's collect some Basilisk venom first."

He waved his wand and collected two bottles of venom from the Basilisk's mouth, and finally pulled out several of the Basilisk's fangs.

Seeing that Snape was about to say something, Sebastian directly handed him a bottle of venom, successfully interrupting his spellcasting.

"This is your share. I'm being generous, aren't I?"

Snape opened his mouth, swallowing all the complaints he was about to make.

Forget it, for the sake of the Basilisk venom, I won't argue with this stinky swan too much.

Just right, with this bottle of venom, I can study some potions related to snake venom when I get back.

After pondering for a moment, he also came to the Basilisk and collected two full bottles of Basilisk blood.

After taking care of everything, Snape finally raised his head and carefully observed this Chamber of Secrets that had been sealed for centuries.

Stone pillars lined both sides, each pillar engraved with coiled and entwined snakes. The snake carvings were lifelike, as if they would slide down from the pillars at any moment, flicking their tongues and approaching them.

At the end of the chamber, on the wall, was a huge statue, almost as tall as the Chamber of Secrets itself.

The statue had a face as old as an ape, with deep wrinkles on its forehead, revealing the ruthless erosion of time.

Sparse, long whiskers drooped from the statue's chin all the way down to the hem of the wizard's robe carved from stone, adding a touch of mystery and majesty to the statue.

The statue's eyes were lowered, as if scrutinizing the intruders of the Chamber.

"Salazar Slytherin," Snape came to the statue, looked at its face, and murmured.

"It seems that the rumors are true. Before Slytherin left Hogwarts, he was indeed focused on bloodline magic."

"He tried to let wizards master the power of magical creatures, and for this goal, he did not hesitate to experiment on himself, making himself look like an ape."

"What a pure and great person."

Looking at Slytherin's statue, Snape was filled with emotion.

He felt a resonance in Slytherin, a resonance as a fellow magic researcher.

Even if not understood by the world, he would tirelessly pursue the ultimate mysteries of magic.

Even using himself for experiments was worth it.

Moreover, who said Slytherin was evil? He clearly had the strength to experiment on other wizards.

"What are you daydreaming about again, Severus?" Sebastian urged. "Hurry up and see if there are any more hidden rooms."

"I don't believe that Slytherin went to so much trouble to open up the Chamber of Secrets just to give his little pet more space to move around."

Hearing this, Snape glared at Sebastian unhappily.

This stinky swan is really a killjoy.

A guy who only sees benefits. In this special environment, he doesn't have any emotion at all.

However, what the stinky swan said makes sense. Slytherin should have left a secret office in the Chamber.

After all, there is no better research environment in the entire Hogwarts than here.

Thinking of this, he drew his wand and looked around.

Unlike Snape, Sebastian stood still.

He closed his eyes, transformed into a radar, and sensed every inch of the Chamber of Secrets with his powerful magic.

After a long time, Sebastian opened his eyes and came to a blank wall to the right of the statue.

In the entire Chamber of Secrets, there were only three places where traces of magic existed.

The entrance door, the statue's mouth, and this blank wall.

Among them, the door goes without saying, the statue's mouth should be the place where the Basilisk enters and exits, leaving only this wall.

Slytherin's secret office should be behind this wall.

Sebastian kept thinking in his mind.

In the original book, Voldemort in the notebook summoned the Basilisk with the Parseltongue phrase: "Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts Four."

What is the password for this door?

After thinking about it, he opened his mouth and tentatively said to the wall in Parseltongue: "Open!"

As soon as he finished speaking, two invisible snake sculptures appeared on the wall. As soon as they appeared, they separated to both sides.

Immediately, the stone wall cracked from the middle and slowly disappeared on both sides.

So simple?!

I originally thought I would have to bring Harry over and try different passwords in Parseltongue several times.

As a result, I was completely overthinking it.

That's right, only Slytherin himself knew about this Chamber of Secrets. There was no reason for him to set the password for the office too complicated.

Otherwise, it would be too troublesome to have to recite a large pile of fancy words every time he entered the office.

"Severus," Sebastian shouted loudly, "I found it, come quickly!"

Suppressing the excitement in his heart, he stepped into this secret office.

Unlike the Chamber of Secrets outside, the entire office was dry and incomparably free of moisture.

The decoration of the office was simple but dignified. A large number of magic books and notes were neatly arranged on the bookshelf in the corner.

The covers of some of the books had yellowed, showing their age.

However, the strong magical fluctuations indicated that these magic books had all withstood the test of time and could still support people reading them now.

In the center of the office stood a large laboratory table, on which were placed some ancient alchemical equipment, which looked like they had not been used for a long time.

On the other side of the laboratory table was a simple wooden table.

Some old parchment papers were scattered randomly on the table, the handwriting on the parchment paper was slightly yellowed, but still clearly legible.

Sebastian slowly walked to the table and carefully identified the handwriting on it.

He found that the handwriting was very familiar, exactly the same as the handwriting on the Horcrux notebook.

It seems that Voldemort also discovered this room and spent a happy time studying here.

He glanced at Snape beside him, smiled slyly, and pointed to the parchment on the table.

"Severus, guess who was the last person to visit here?"
