Has the monster in the Chamber been identified?

The little wizards perked up and immediately started using their brains, organizing the clues everyone had mentioned.

Cedric mentioned earlier that Moaning Myrtle lost her life after seeing a pair of yellow eyes.

Potter also said that the monster in the Chamber is the natural enemy of the Acromantula.

There must be a connection between these two.
