Harry Potter Morning Light

Chapter 2822 Runaway Wolf (5)

Since Barnaby was allowed to take Potions class again, he had to catch up with the missing courses, and he happened to have to take Potions class like him, so they went to the "old place" to study by themselves again.

"Is this black toad a symbol, or a medicinal material?" Barnaby asked Ben after watching "Advanced Potion Making" for a while.

"What it means here is that the poison becomes the medicine," said Ben, looking at where Barnaby was pointing. "And you can't use cleanse."

"What?" asked Barnaby, confused.

"I didn't actually understand what he was saying, but he said do not waste time on antidote potions," Ben replied.

"But doesn't the book say there's a stone in the toad's brain that can cure poison?" said Barnaby.

"He'll give you a knife and tell you to dissect all the toads in the Potions room until you find the stone," said Ben, horrified.

"Of course ordinary toads won't work, you have to feed them borax..."

"You can throw that book into the fire," said a voice suddenly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I read it wrong. This is what the warlocks did in 1569." Barnaby scratched his hair. "They thought they could get the same antidote as bezoar."

"Who are you talking to?" Ben asked.

Barnaby looked at Ben. "Who else is in this room but the two of us?"

"And me," said a voice.

Barnaby stood up and looked around.

"Look up," said the voice.

"Manifestation." Barnaby waved his wand.

There was still no one around, and the strange voice laughed muffledly, "I'm not on the ground, look up."

"What are you doing, Lee?" Ben asked.

Barnaby looked up.

"Further up," said the voice.

Barnaby's gaze shifted from the fourth floor of the display shelf to the fifth floor.

"Further up," said the voice.

Barnaby's sight reached the sixth floor.

"I'm right here, see me?" said the voice.

Barnaby watched it carefully for a moment.

"You fixed that puppet?" Barnaby looked back at Ben.

"It's fixed, but it only dances," Ben replied.

"No, I know a lot more, I can teach you." The puppet said.

"What do you want me to do?" asked Barnaby.

"Take me off the shelf," said the puppet. "I like to talk 'on an equal footing' with people."

"So the puppet has been talking Parseltongue to Barnaby?" Pomona asked Ben.

"Call him Paul," Severus said with a smile.

"What are you laughing at?" Pomona looked at him.

"He might be a devil, but he's not a troll," Severus said triumphantly.

She couldn't help but hit him with the book in her hand, then looked at Ben.

"Yes." Ben nodded timidly, "I only heard Li talking to himself from the beginning to the end."

"I didn't talk to myself," said Barnaby.

"I understand." Ben looked at Barnaby. "You can hear Parseltongue, but I can't, just like I can see ghosts, but my parents can't."

"Does he speak in Parseltongue when he speaks back?" Pomona asked.

"No, just talk to us," Ben said.

"You-Know-Who also spoke to me in Parseltongue, but I could only understand it," Barnaby said.

"What did he say?" Severus asked.

"Hello," said Barnaby.

Pomona felt a little creepy.

"The puppet, Paul, what else did he say?" Pomona asked.

"He taught me how to make a safener," Barnaby replied.

"You were not asked to speak," Severus warned Barnaby.

Barnaby glanced at him with some disbelief, and then at Pomona.

"This safener is not an antidote." Pomona looked at the three students. "It's still poisonous, but it's not harmful to a plant. It's like weeding crops in a field and adding safener plants." There is no harm to crops, other plants will die."

"If you want to make up lessons, you can choose another time. What else did Paul say?" Severus asked.

"Can I talk, Professor." Barnaby looked at Snape defiantly.

"What happened next?" Pomona asked Ben.

Paul is a knowledgeable teacher, and Ben's skills have improved a lot because of his guidance. One day, Ben and Barnaby chatted about the troll helmet and the map that Helios Black found.

"Paul told Lee that the Unforgivable Curse was needed to open the secret passage, so Lee asked Madam Pomfrey for the antidote," Ben said.

"You also used this method to open the secret passage under Irondale Castle? Who did you cast the Unforgivable Curse on?" Pomona couldn't help shouting at Barnaby, "Is it you, Liz?"

"It's not me!" Liz waved her hands again and again, "Barnaby didn't do anything to me."

"He didn't," Severus said, looking at Barnaby.

"What?" Pomona looked at him puzzled.

"The kid hasn't taken the bait yet," Severus said.

"I felt like there was a trap, but I had to do what Paul told me to do," Barnaby said.

Pomona looked at Leeds.

Tobias used to yell at Erin, and the neighbor next door heard it and called the police because she had a "nervous breakdown". After the police came, Irene would defend Tobia, saying that he just spoke a little louder, and that Irene and Severus had no injuries, and they left after the police arrived.

It's just that the Cruciatus Curse will not be the same as the Longbottoms, and it is also difficult to find evidence that Barnaby used it.

"Is there anything else besides the secret passage?" asked Pomona.

"There's one in the fort in the North Ford Marshes," said Ben promptly.

Pomona remembered what he had said to Liz in Potions.

"That's why you stopped Liz from exploring the swamp in Herbology class? Made her ask Blake instead?" Pomona asked.

Ben kept his mouth shut.

"You overheard us." Liz looked at Pomona in disbelief.

"If you guys don't talk in class, I don't have to listen," Pomona said to Leeds.

"You're sure what Paul said is true, what are you going to do next?" Severus asked Barnaby.

"I was still hesitating, and then my uncle came today and he asked me how I was doing, so I told him about it," Barnaby said.

"Are you going to cast the Unforgivable Curse on your classmate if he doesn't come?" Pomona asked Barnaby.

"He's here, isn't he?" Barnaby said sullenly, looking at the floor.

"What about the map?" Severus asked.

"I found the end point on the map, but I don't know who drew it," Liz said. "So I want to find clues."

"Even if the camp in the swamp hasn't been touched, what can you find out after 200 years." Severus said in a nasty voice.

"I have magic," Liz said to Snape.

"Tell me what your father said to you, Lee," Pomona said.

"If I'm as powerful as the Dark Lord, I can do whatever I want...Hey!" Barnaby yelled, "You eavesdrop on my chat with Bill and the others."

"You're in a public place." Snape said menacingly, "If what you're talking about is a dark secret, please find a place where no one passes by."

"Magic is not omnipotent, it cannot bring the dead back to life, but you can ask Blake, Liz." Pomona said with a headache.

"He thought it was done by goblins." Liz frowned. "But if this is a treasure map, then the people in the camp may have been attacked by humans."

"This is your task, to find clues from eyewitness memories." Pomona said with a smirk.

"Where's Paul? Put it at your disposal?" Barnaby asked.

"No, you continue to obey his orders and pretend you didn't tell us," Severus said.

"What if he sees through it?" Ben asked sadly.

"He'll pretend he doesn't see through," Severus said with a laugh.

Pomona saw Severus' eyes light up.

If there is a secret, like a treasure, treasure hunters don't want to be known by too many people, so they only tell the people they believe in, and there must be two people who use the Unforgivable Curse. Treasure hunters either hurt people they trust, or pretend to trust each other, and when they get to the treasure, they fight among themselves to see who will kill each other quickly.

Paul, Paul, you are not the devil, what else are you?
