Harry Potter: Dark Alchemy

Chapter 54 Dumbledore’s last Apparition lesson

There was an awkward silence.

"I have another question." Wright glanced at Dumbledore and asked again.

"Well," Dumbledore paused and said hesitantly. After all, the question Wright asked just now did make him feel a little embarrassed. "Go ahead."

"Why can you Apparate in school?"

"Oh, this!" Dumbledore suddenly became energetic and said with joy, "Wright, you know, as a principal, you should have some privileges."

After saying that, Dumbledore winked mischievously at Wright, and um, he also pursed his lips.

Wright was not surprised by Dumbledore's words about the principal's privileges. Instead, he just felt disgusted by his subsequent actions. Can you imagine an old man with white hair and a white beard pouting? That is simply a nightmare of life!

Dumbledore asked Fawkes to grab Wright's shoulders, and the next moment, the two of them appeared in an open space deep in the Forbidden Forest.

After being teleported with Fox many times, Wright was already completely familiar with this feeling, so it took almost no time to fully recover this time.

"Wright, do you still remember the three D's of Apparition?" Dumbledore said to Wright after waving Fawkes away.

"Of course!" Wright nodded affirmatively, "The three principles of Apparition are goal, determination, and calmness!"

"Yes!" Dumbledore agreed, then took out his wand and created a wooden circle on the ground not far away.

"The first step is to focus your attention on the target you are going to disapparate from," Dumbledore said. "Of course, this target is now the wooden circle in your eyes."

Wright's eyes widened and he looked intently at the small circular patch of ground in the wooden circle.

"The second step," Dumbledore said, "is to determine to occupy the space you want! Let the determination to enter fill every part of your body!"

Wright was almost completely free of distractions now.

"The third step, after I finish telling you to start, spin on the spot and let yourself enter the void state. Move calmly!"

"three"

"two"

"one"

"start!"

"Goal, determination, calmness." Wright muttered silently in his heart, and then turned around on the spot.

There was a crackling sound.

That familiar feeling came over me again, as if I was being squeezed strongly from all directions, completely suffocating me. It seemed like an instant, and it seemed like a whole year, this feeling finally dissipated, as if it was squeezed out of a very, very narrow rubber tube.

After a few seconds, Wright slowly began to recover, his thoughts caught up with his feelings, and then he realized that he had just performed the first independent Apparition in his life.

Wright used his right hand to rub his head, which was a little confused due to the Apparition.

But it worked! Just one time and it worked! Wright shook his head, I am indeed a genius!

"It's okay. Just stand where you are and don't move. I'll be there in a minute." Dumbledore's voice came from a distance, "There are very few wizards who can successfully disapparate for the first time."

Wright followed Dumbledore's voice and looked over, his face froze involuntarily, and then he stood there and watched helplessly as Dumbledore walked towards this side holding his left hand.

The first Apparition was not as successful as Wright imagined. His left hand remained in place during the Apparition process.

Dumbledore took Wright's left hand into his empty sleeve, and applied a layer of white blood to the joint. As a burst of purple smoke rose, Wright could feel the existence of his left hand again.

Wright gently shook his left arm, experiencing the magical feeling he had never experienced before. At the moment when the body is separated due to Apparition, there is nothing, neither weightlessness nor pain. It was as if he had always had only one right hand, and even the action of rubbing his head just now was using his right hand unconsciously.

To this day, Wright still feels that the arm he is currently receiving may be fake.

"Can I try again?" Wright took a deep breath and asked Dumbledore.

"No problem," Dumbledore said, "The successful use of any spell requires unremitting efforts. Practice makes perfect!"

Dumbledore rearranged the wooden circle, but did not teleport to the original place with Wright, but just let Wright walk back slowly.

Standing on the same ground again, Wright once again focused his attention on the small piece of clay in the wooden circle in the distance.

"Goal, determination, calmness." Wright turned around again.

The familiar squeezing feeling of disembodiment struck again. After this feeling disappeared, Wright did not make any immediate action, but silently felt his body.

Fingers of the left hand, fingers of the right hand, soles of the left foot, soles of the right feet...

"Very good, Wright. I didn't expect that your second disembodiment would be successful." The moment Wright opened his eyes, Dumbledore's words reached his ears.

"When you are fully able to master Disapparation, our training will officially end, and you will need to find a solution on your own for future training." Dumbledore walked to Wright and said.

"End?" Wright looked at Dumbledore in surprise.

"Yes, everything will end one day." Dumbledore said with a smile, "So don't be too troubled by this matter."

"But why did it end immediately after learning Apparition?" Wright looked at Dumbledore in confusion, "I think I still have a lot to learn, such as combat experience, combat wisdom, advanced spells..."

"What I have taught you is enough now, Wright. At least for a normal Hogwarts graduate, what I have taught you is all they can learn in school." Dumbledore Interrupting Wright, "As for what you said, you need to slowly and deeply understand it in the days to come."

"Maybe magical animals will be your next target, and the Forbidden Forest might be a good place." Dumbledore looked around the surrounding environment.

"But didn't you say that students are not allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest?" Wright asked with some reluctance, "Maybe I need to continue studying with you for a while?"

"But are you an ordinary student? Besides, I don't think you are a good and well-behaved student." Ignoring the second half of Wright's sentence, Dumbledore just answered the first sentence with a smile.

After another hour of training, Wright was able to apparate successfully every time.

Dumbledore took the exhausted Wright back to the principal's office, which was just as it had been when Wright arrived.

Dumbledore walked back to the headmaster's chair at the back of the office and sat down, while Wright stood silently in front of his desk.

Gryffindor's sword lay quietly on the shelf, and paintings of past principals hung quietly on the walls. Even the Sorting Hat, which usually chattered a few times, was extremely silent at this time.

"Well, good night, teacher." Wright bowed deeply to Dumbledore.

"Light, good night."
